This is my approach for a Stuart Little reboot, based solely more on the original novel. A mouse gets taken in by humans, faces a rough aging transition, and soon wishes to find himself out in the large world.

In the few days spent with the Stouts, Stuart resigns himself to what it appears a mouse's life is supposed to be. Living on dumpster pancakes and learning more about communist Russia than a nine year old should, he puts on a brave face, for them. But after speaking with the neighborhood kids, he begins to question if they're really his parents. Pre-Little Compromise. Complete!

Lucy Little is a plain, simple, rebellious teenager who just wants to live her own life. When a mouse named Stuart comes into the Little family, Lucy is at first displeased and embarrassed on having a mouse for a brother. Lucy comes to her senses when she and Stuart discuss their differences and similarities, finally turning over a new leaf, and accepting Stuart into the family.

The winter of Stuart's eighteen year brings restlessness, and an overwhelming stack of college letters. Worse, Mrs. Little's parents unintentionally succeed at making the mouse feel more of an outlier than every before. After Margalo left, Stuart took it hard, and fell into a bit of a slump, so his dad helps him to find something to help him cope. (Yeah, it can be considered a Christmas-y one, but I've had it waiting around.)

It is just another morning for the Little family in New York City, but it doesn't stay that way for long. Not with how their city is under attack and they must do everything that they can to help after learning of it shortly after it's over. Tribute to all who died on 9/11 and to all who were scarred by it, those who suffered losses or otherwise.

After the events of Stuart Little 2, George begins to feel unloved. His mother reminds him otherwise. UPDATE: I just discovered an episode of Stuart Little: The Animated Series that kind of dealt with this issue. It's called A Model Driver.

Margalo returns to the Little's in the spring, like Stuart hopes she would, and brought some new friends.

The Littles are going to Hawii! But things start going weird when a new speciaes is discovered. First, Snowbell jumps into the ocean from a balcony, Stuart loses hair, and what really is this animal that did all these? Is it even from Earth?

The Littles go horseback riding, only to discover that Stuart is far to small. To make up for it, the mouse convinces Snowbell to be his horse. For AnthonyAngrywolf. One-shot. Short.
