"I cannot give you what you seek," Aragorn told Éowyn as he mounted his horse.
Éowyn's eyes started to well up and she ran off, back to her tent, heartbroken.
She entered her tent and quickly fell down on her cot. The tears started flowing freely. She softly whimpered as she realized how much time and effort she had put into pleasing Aragorn. She realized that she had used Aragorn as her supposed savior. She put her fears, hopes and dreams into Aragorn. Much like the people of Rohan.
But Aragorn was only one man and unfortunately for Éowyn he was already taken. She started crying even louder, after now fully understanding how much of a fool she really was. She dug her face into her pillow, hoping to either die or be gone from her current location.
She heard someone softly enter her tent and walk right behind her. She still secretly hoped it was Aragorn.
He put his hand on her back and he gently stroked her. She was amazed by his soothing touch. He lifted her and put her in his arms.
"Gamling," she whispered.
"Shhh," he whispered back.
Gamling laid right down next to her and held her tight. She eventually fell asleep in his arms.
When morning came Éowyn looked up at her comforter's face and smiled. She laid her head back down on his chest and fell back asleep. Having long forgotten her doomed quest after the heir of Isildur.

I know, short. I'd like to know if you think if I should continue it and if this is an unusual pairing or not.
