A Christmas Kiss

The snow fell slowly onto the already snow-covered ground. The moon shone brightly in the sky as streetlamps lit up. A dark figure walks through the dimly lit streets, hood covering his face and his hands stuffed into his coat pockets. The figure wore a dark red soft coat, dark blue jeans, and a pair of black boots. He struggled through the snow, looking around as if looking for a particular person.

Meanwhile, a young girl with short light brown hair stood outside her balcony, watching the snow. She wore an olive jumper with light yellow short-sleeve shirt underneath, and white sandals. Her arms rested on the stone as she stared out into the falling snow. She looked down when she caught a glimpse of the figure walking through the snow.

            Daisuke!

The girl was about to run out when her twin sister walked toward her. The twin sister had long brown hair and brown eyes, and wore a light green flannel nightgown. She stood inside the room, a few feet from the doorway to the balcony.

"Where are you going, Riku?" The sister asked.

"Out, Risa," the girl named Riku answered. Riku ran downstairs and out the door, looking for Daisuke. She scanned the place through the falling snow when she noticed a small figure. Riku ran toward the figure, ignoring the snow falling on her and the temperature, since she didn't take her coat out. Riku kept running, determined to catch up with Daisuke, since she was on the track team.

"Daisuke!" Riku called out when she was closing in on Daisuke.

Daisuke turned around, his red eyes glimmering in the snow and his mouth forming a smile. He wore a dark red coat, with the hood over his head, dark blue jeans, and black boots. "Riku-san! Merry Christmas!"

Riku ran to Daisuke and stopped in front of him. "Merry Christmas to you too," Riku smiled. Then she remembered why she chased after him. "What are you doing out so late?"

"It's Dark's job today," Daisuke sighed.

"Dark doesn't even get a day off," Riku said sympathetically. "Good luck anyway."

Then surprising Daisuke, Riku leaned closer to Daisuke. She closed her eyes as she pressed her own lips against Daisuke's lips. She slowly pulled away, opening her eyes slowly.

"Merry Christmas, Daisuke-kun," Riku smiled beautifully.

Daisuke was still too shocked to say anything. "…"

Riku laughed half-heartily. "I know it was sudden, but… that's my present for you." Riku's cheeks turned pinkish.

Daisuke leaned toward Riku. He placed his lips against Riku's gently, holding her in his arms. This time the kiss lasted longer than before. Riku's arms returned the embrace and the two stood in the snow kissing. Daisuke broke the kiss when he remembered about Dark's job.

"I'm so sorry, Riku," Daisuke said quickly. "I totally forgot the time. I'm late now."

"No, I'm sorry…" Riku said shyly, blushing. "I made you late…"

"See you around," Daisuke waved, running off.

Riku stood in the falling snow weather. The snow fell on her shoulders and hair, giving her a white hat on her hair. She just had her first kiss stolen by her love Niwa Daisuke. Harada Riku still couldn't believe it, but it happened. It was everything she wanted. Her Christmas wish was answered. Her angel. Her Daisuke Niwa Angel.
