Christmas present for her inspired by a manga by Clamp I read yesterday.
DISCLAIMER: I don't own the characters of CCS and I don't own the snow
princess thing. I only own the plot of the story and the poem.

Snowflakes
The Snow Princess is crying.
Her tears pour from the heavens,
In torrents of white,
Dancing a white dance of despair,
Whispering longing questions.
Will you return to me, my love?
The Snow Princess is crying.
My love, wait for me patiently.
I shall return to you,
Upon the pure wings of love.
This I swear to you, beloved.
Will you wait for me, love?
The Snow Princess is crying.
I shall be your ice blossom, dear one,
Forever I will wait,
Till you return to my embrace.
Frozen in time by the ice of love,
Eternally loving, eternally waiting.
The Snow Princess is crying.
They say that snowflakes are her tears,
But she says nay,
For snowflakes are the tears of mortals,
Whose hearts are filled with despair,
So despair not, my love.
"Look, Yuki, it's snowing! Isn't it beautiful," cried a pretty brunette
girl with guileless aqua eyes.
"Yes, it's beautiful, Tohru," replied the handsome violet eyed and haired
youth called Yuki demurely.
"Yet it is so sad, too," stated the brunette referred to as Tohru in a
sedated tone.
"Why is it sad," asked Yuki with calm interest.
"When I was little my Okaa-san told me that snowflakes are the tears of the
Snow Princess, the Goddess of Snow, so when it snows the Snow Princess must
be crying," answered Tohru.
"Why does the Snow Princess cry?"
"Okaa-san told me that the Snow Princess cries before something tragic
happens. She mourns for those who suffer. Okaa-san told me that the Snow
Princess was crying on the night that my Oto-san died. I think snowflakes
aren't the tears of the Snow Princess. I think they are the tears of
humans."
