Do you believe in love at first sight? Have you ever wondered what it would be like to just look at someone and instantly know that they're the one? I have. I have often wished that one day this would happen to me. Then one day, it did. My name is Alyssa Freeman. I'm 14 years old and I don't believe in love. Some people would say, "That's crazy!! How could you not believe in love!!!" at least that's what my mom said. I know, "Don't you "love" your mom and dad??" I'm not talking about that kind of love! It's the romantic kind. How can you guarantee that the other person will always the same way? How can you guarantee that it's going to last? There's too much hurt and risk involved if you ask me. But, that's just my opinion. My best friend, however, is totally into all this stuff. Mostly, because she has a thing for this guy, David Gordon; or as we call him Gordo. He's a pretty nice guy but he has absolutely no clue about how she feels about him! The thing that's kind of sad though is that they're best friends. It's killing Lizzie! Anyway, back in the real world I'm struggling with my Algebra test while, at the same time dictating this story to you. (Oprah calls it "multitasking") I'm so sick of people trying to "hook me up" with people so show me that love exists. I don't need their sympathy. I'm a big girl. I can handle myself. I hope somehow people will start to see that!!!!
