Summary: What should have happened at Rory's Graduation, when she talked to Jess on the phone.

"Goodbye, I guess that sounds really stupid, but that's it, goodbye." Rory says. But before she closes the phone, she hears something.

"Rory?"

"Jess? Wow, you actually decided to answer. That's very brave of you."

"Rory."

"No Jess, don't even try it. You left. And even if you were gonna leave. You could have told me. I'm not my mother, I wasn't going to hurt you. You didn't handle anything right. I could have helped you with school."

"Rory.."

"No, I don't want to talk about this anymore. I probably will never see you again, although I wish you never left. I, I love you Jess, you should have known that."

"Rory, turn around." Jess said quickly so she wouldn't cut him off again.

Rory slowly turned around to see a smiling Jess. All she could think of was he was real. That was her lover standing in front of her. He came back for her, and this time se had the feeing that it was that forever forever type of thing. Rory smiled and walked toward him.

"I love you too." Jess said.

Rory ran towards him and hugged him with a full force. They held onto each other so closely. It felt good to be loved. She looked up at him. "I came back for you. I went to see my dad in California. It was lame and my dad owns a hot dog stand. I figured if there was any place that I had something going for me, it was here. Because I have you."

"Well, I guess we can start over. I mean, I'm still mad that you left without telling me, or you wouldn't even tell me what was going on. But I don't think I can deny how I feel."

"I know, but I want to spend all the time I have for all the weeks I've been gone." "Well, how much time will you have?" Rory asked with a smile. "I'll be working at the diner, going for my high school diploma by taking night courses 2 times a week, and spending time with you. I think my life is getting hectic." Jess laughed.

"Oh but I'm worth it." Rory smiled. "Oh yes, you are." They kissed. "So how long have you been here for?" "My flight got here this morning and I actually got to see you graduate." "Wait, you need a ticket." "Yeah, Luke knew I was back, he told Lorelei and she thought it would be a good surprise so got me a ticket." "Remind me to thank her." Rory laughed. "So how was my speech? How did I look?"

"Your speech was moving, especially to Lorelei, Sookie, Jackson, and Luke." Jess laughed. "And I thought you looked sexy" Jess smiled with sarcasm.

"I always was." Rory added. They both smiled and kissed.
