Ouch help Merry Pippin cried out. He struggled to get out from under the troll and collapsed he was hurt. He saw a form standing in front of him.

"Merry?" he questioned and then blacked out. When he awoke he was laying in somebody's lap. "Merry?"

"I'm here," said Merry.

"We are ready, Merry," said a man's voice.

"Ready?" said Pippin. "Merry, what is he talking about?" he asked in a scared voice.

"It is okay, Pip," said Merry. "They just mean they are ready to heal you."

Pippin only just realized how much pain he was in. Merry carried him over to Aragorn. "Well let's see what is wrong with you," he said He unbuttoned Pippin's shirt. A great gash was on Pippin's chest that went from his shoulder to his right side. The man cleaned the gash then stitched and bandaged it. Pippin's left had been broken also he had broken a one or three ribs He moaned as the man's fingers worked at the wounds. Merry bathed Pippin's head with a wet cloth. Pippin blacked out again.

He awoke again to find Merry holding his hand rubbing it. "Merry?"

"Hello Pip. Glad to see you're awake."

"Could I have something to drink?"

"Aragorn said you would say that," said Merry. "You could have some, but take sips," said Merry helping Pippin with the bottle. "And not to much!" scolded Merry "or it will make your head spin and you will black out again."

"But." said Pippin.

"No 'buts'," said a man walking up behind Merry.

"Gandalf!" said Pippin.

"Listen to cousin," said Gandalf.

"Okay," said Pippin.

"Good Lad," said Gandalf ruffling Pippin's hair. "Now drink that and get some sleep." Pippin did as he was told. "He is a good lad," said Gandalf. "A little foolish at times, but still well." "He is, Gandalf," said Merry yawning.

"Get some sleep, Merry. I will watch over him. I will tell you if anything goes wrong."

"Okay" said Merry and he bent down and kissed Pippin on forehead "'Night," he said to his sleeping cousin. Gandalf smiled as Merry went to bed.

"They are really something, those two," he said looking down at Pippin.
