Unconditional
You told me, that you'd hold me,
And that we would be together
I guess you, should have stressed then
That you didn't mean forever.
Your soul it, makes a hole in-
Your unbeating heart, when it leaves.
Your affection's misdirection,
I would never have believed.
The man I see, is a fan of me,
But there's a monster deep inside.
When it's out, it needs to shout,
And threaten me with Slayer-cide.
I thought that, if I fought you,
I could put an end to my crush,
But it took more, than just a sword,
To come between the two of us.
He is more, yes, I am sure,
He loves me with all of his heart.
There came a day, you wouldn't stay,
But I know he'll never depart.
I strike him, though I like him,
Because I wish I didn't care.
I hate, I claim, his very name,
But the feelings are still there.
His love for me, is enough for me,
Unconditional and true.
It's common sense, and, no offence,
But it's more than can be said for you.
