This is my first fanfic. I hope you like it. Its just something I did in
my spare time. Enjoy.
No Longer Alone By Array I walked through the crowded market with the bag of tofu in my hand. I talked with yahiko as we made our way back to the house. Today everyone seemed so cheery. We all were planning on gathering at the house later for a party. I had suggested it the other day. One year from today was the day I first met Kenshin. That was the reason why I suggested the party, though the others didn't know that. I remember what my life was like before I met Kenshin, Yahiko, sano, and Megumi. I was the only one who lived in the dojo after my father died. For the exception of my students, I was always alone. I remember I use to hate going to the market to shop because I hated the looks people gave me. The sad looks of the people around me always made me feel weak. I didn't want their looks or their pity. But now I was not longer alone. I had my friends. I had Kenshin. That's all I needed. I didn't have to fear going to the market any more. I no longer got their looks. I entered the house with a smile on my face. I walked around the house to the kitchen to start to cook. Kenshin was doing loundry. yahiko ran over to him. Kenshin turned around as yahiko told him about the new shop we say at the market. When he was finished Kenshin walked over to me. "Need help with that, Miss Kaoru?" he asked me as he held out his hand. I shook my head and thanked him any way. I walked into the kitchen. I began to prepare the food for later that night when a pair of arms circled around me. I turned and came face to face with Kenshin. He smiled down at me. "Did you know, Miss Kaoru, that on this very day a year ago we first met, that we did?" he asked me. I nodded my head in reply as I smile up at him. He held me tighter. I looked up into his dark eyes. I didn't realize until then that our lips were only inches apart. Slowly, he closed that gap. I closed my eyes as I felt his lips on mine. My heart was pounding so hard I was sure it would explode. I wished that kiss would last forever. What started as a simple kiss turned more demanding. We were both hungry for each other. Finally we broke apart. We stared at each other for a long moment. "I love you, Miss Kaoru, that I do," he whispered to me. He pulled away and began to prepare the food. I smiled to my self as I joined him. The evening went by fast. Everyone had a wonderful time. Now I lay in Kenshin's futon. I watched him as he slept. He looked so peaceful. I kissed him on the cheek, right in the center of his scar. I was happier then I had been in a long time. "I love you, Kenshin," I said to his sleeping form. His eyes opened and he smiled at me. "I love you, Miss Kaoru, and I always will. I will always be here for you, that I will." He showed me again how much he loved me. Afterwards, I lay curled up in his arms as I waited for sleep. I knew now I was no longer alone.
Well that's done. I hope you enjoyed. Please review.
