Never Knows Best - by Oni Arashi
So it comes to my attention
That everything done right by me, occurred on accident
And that any glimmer of intelligence, is trial and error
I don't get involved, and at the end of the day
I think i've done less harm
But my indecision is my weakness
Who is cutting this line in my arm?
I can't seem to get the answers from my blood
So I look on the mirror image
It reflects for me the path of damage
So I can see, that it was nothing as singular
As fate.
It's all the forces that have conspired together
All along, I was steering
Not caught in a flow that I can't control
The stains on my sleeve are permanent
Like the wasted past marked upon every facet
That the method of the looking glass reveals
My inner child will Never forgive me
I was blind but he Knows every failure
When I thought it Best to keep to myself
He was reaching out to me
To wake me up from my sub sentient trance
But i'd burned all the bridges between us
And they can't be resurrected with the shattered glass
And I see that I am the eternal fool who
Never Knows Best, Never Knows Best
Now it seems I'm lost in the chaos of the looking glass
Waiting for the only one who can wake me
The only one who can take me
Because the child can only send me reminders
In the form of red lines on my arm.
Telling me that who I've been all along.
Never Knows Best
and Never Knows Best.
So it comes to my attention
That everything done right by me, occurred on accident
And that any glimmer of intelligence, is trial and error
I don't get involved, and at the end of the day
I think i've done less harm
