A New Sheriff in Town

By Blue Eyes, White Hydra77415

Everything happened in the blink of an eye. One second Shawn Michaels supposedly became World Heavyweight Champion after he pinned his former friend Triple H in what may be remembered as one of the greatest matches in the history of WWE Monday Night Raw, but Eric Bischoff claimed it wasn't a clean pin, so thus it didn't count. Infuriated at this, Shawn attacked Bischoff and Ric Flair. As he walked up the ramp, The General Manger decided to flex his ego.

"You want to lay your hands on me? Fine, not only have you lost the match, but also you also just lost your job! You're Fired!" Bischoff screamed in a blind rage. The sound of shattering glass filled the arena in San Antonio. Stone Cold Steven Austin had returned to the WWE on his terms.

"You see Eric, there's a new sheriff in town," said Stone Cold in his thick Texas drawl, "As of this moment, I am now the new, Full General Manger of Raw. The WWE Board of Directors had been watching what you had been doing the entire night and finally got sick of your ego trip once and for all. My first order of business is not only to rehire Shawn Michaels, but also to award him the World Heavyweight Championship. And you Eric are the one who is fired! Get off my show and never darken the WWE with your crap ever again!"

With that Stone Cold Steven Austin gave his trademark Stunner to Bischoff and had security drag him out of the arena never to be seen again. Austin then asked a battle weary Shawn to the ring and presented him with the World Heavyweight Championship. Raw goes off the air with Shawn and Stone Cold having a celebratory beer with the San Antonio fans cheering on.

This is how RAW should have ended!

Author's rants: A thousand apologies to anyone who reads this. This was piece was written in the wake of the end of RAW and seems very rushed but I had to get my thoughts on paper immediately. So do not take this seriously. Stone Cold returned and said "There was a new sheriff in town." Now that could mean anything, but I just went for the most likely course. If you don't like it, then don't read it.
