Chapter 10: Change Of Heart

Confusion ran through Link's mind as he starred at the face of his adversary. One word escaped Link's mouth, "…… Kaisa..…." and as the name was spoken, Link's mind tried to comprehend the events that just took place. "GANONDORF!!! Release him at once!" the words shot out of Link's mouth, echoing off into the darkness.

"Well, well, well, boy. Sorry to disappoint you but it seems your friend has had a change of heart, you could say. You see boy, all of this is of his own will. HAHAHAHA." the annoying voice that could only belong to Ganondorf rang in the chamber.

Taken back by the remark, Link quickly bark back "LIAR! Your mind games won't work anymore!"

"HAHAHAHA. How about we just settle this by asking your so called friend himself, Kaisa?" turning towards Kaisa, Link knew now that for sure that Kaisa wasn't being controlled, Link could just tell from the eyes, and the only thing that Link could say was…

"Why…"

"WHY! We trusted you, gave you our most precious item so you could take care of Ganondorf but what happened. For six years he reigned over the lands of Hyrule, but where were you!" the voice boomed causing incessant loops of echoes within the chamber.

"Still, our enemy is Ganondorf why are-"sensing an attack, Link easily dodged one of the mighty Goron's dominant punches. There was no reasoning with the Goron now, he was out of control, he had gone berserk. Yes indeed he did for Link could tell from the look in Kaisa's eyes, it was exactly the same as the one Berserktom Ganon, filled with determination, confidence, and for Kaisa above all, his one desire to kill Link. Although the punches delivered by the Goron were indeed almighty, the one flaw was with the delivery and Link easily took advantage of that, it was the speed, it lacked the speed to connect with Link, so Link easily dodged them. One by one, Link evaded the assaults but he could not strike back against his former friend. Identical events continued about ten times until, Kaisa decided to stop playing around and right after Link eluded another one of his overhand downward punches, Kaisa hastily rolled into a ball and bashed into Link, sending him flying though the air, until gravity took control and pulled him down colliding against what seemed like ground in the chamber. As Link got up, he was once again rammed by the raging Goron, this continued until Link hauled out the heavy Megaton Hammer and smashed it against the side of the rolling Goron just before he battered Link again. Kaisa slowly rebounded to his feet and both warriors stared each other down breathing heavily. Braking the silence, Kaisa hurtled himself at Link, as his foe stood his ground. At a moments instant immediately before the dire collision, Link cast Nayru's Love, and although the spell did not complete in time to protect Link from the shoulder of the massive Goron, it continued to develop, and ultimately trapping the raging Goron. Caught off guard by the sudden deception, Kaisa began pounding away against the mystical walls that have engulfed him into a crystal prison. Quivering to his get back on his feat, Link had took tremendous damage, but all was not in vain as Kaisa's hammering assaults against the mystical wall were. Staggering towards the frenzied Goron, Link struggled to speak to Kaisa, "…… Stop this…… Please……" Link's eyes narrowed as he glared at Kaisa. Finally realizing that there was little that could be done about his suppression, Kaisa returned Link's glare.

"COWARD, FACE ME WITHOUT HIDING BEHIND YOUR DECEPTIONS!" bellowed the bizarre Goron, that mimicked the boom from a thunder.

"Kai-" Link was cut off short by the towering voice of Ganondorf.

"Now, now, now, Link, let me settle this irrational quarrel. To think you of all people taking advantage against a former friend, by using your magic while he fights you with nothing but his bare hands, dishonouring yourself like that, and above all else using your foe and walking him into your own little deception, why it's………………………………........................................................ INTRIGUING. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" the very last word of Ganondorf was in such a sinister voice that one could only assume that he had just concocted another scheme. As the laughter faded off, a darkish purple glow of what seemed like electricity bind the crystal prison and in a split second the energy detonated, thus shattering the mystical wall. Link stood still as the dead, as he witnessed the astounding energy at Ganondorf's control, the power that so easily devastated one of Link's strongest enchantments. Memorized, Link was unable to defend against the pummelling from Kaisa, as the first blow led to a chain of everlasting punches distributed by the ruthless Goron.

"STOP!" the abrupt voice halted Kaisa's agonizing onslaught. "What is the meaning of this…BROTHER! How do you explain the assault that you have been undertaking on a hero of the Gorons and the one person who will soon defeat and enemy of all, Ganondorf! Do you not understand that he's the one, the one person that will save us from Ganondorf! He is the one who put an end to our ancient enemy, Volvagia." the strong voice belonged to none other then Darunia.

"WHAT! Him… He of all… Defeated Volvagia… I'm can not accept this!" hollered Kaisa as he gazed deeply at Link, until his eyes widened with shock as he recalled that Link had employed the almighty weapon, the Megaton Hammer. Realizing the truth, Kaisa stood stunned, as he tried to understand what he had just done to the man who had destroyed the Gorons ancient enemy. "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!" shrieked Kaisa who had just burst into blue flames. Link eyes focused on the rampaging Goron that was burning with magical fires, and continued to the point where death was at hand, and through the flames, Link spot a faint smile on the face of Kaisa, Link fought back his tears as he speculated the tragic event. Scurrying towards Kaisa, Link found nothing as the blue flames had burned up every last presence of the Goron.

"Incompetent fool… Well, I thought you would have faired better, but this time it seems you have disappointed me, well what do you think… But still, there was a bit a good display. HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!" Ganondorf's voice echo throughout the mysterious place. Again Link was positioned in a crystal and sent to the Chamber Of Sages, confront by Darunia.

"I'm sorry Link, the time for talk lies after your victory…" a smile came across Darunia, then in an instant his face turn serious, "You must hurry, there are three more places to be filled." Wearing his determined look, Link nodded.

Well it's been a while but I'm back. Hoping to pick this up again but you know, you know. I just realized that I've left poor little Navi out for the past few chapters, tell if you think I should try to included her more and as always leave your suggestions.
