Disclaimer: I do not own Stargate SG-1. I'm just takinf them for a little spin.
"Colonel?"
Jack shook his head slightly and looked at Carter.
"Yes Major?"
Sam stepped around a pillar so she could see him better. "Sir, are you ok?"
"Um...yeah." He went back to staring at something straight in front of him. "What do you think that is?"
"What what is?" Sam asked, confusedly looking in the direction that he was staring in.
"That." Jack grasped her shoulders and positioned her in front of him. "Do you see it now?"
Sam squinted into the darkness in front of her. Yeah...she could see something.
"Well sir, it looks like...but that couldn't possibly be it! Could it?"
"I dunno. You're the Physics whiz." Jack shrugged, then added. " But it sure looks like it to me."
"How come we can only see it from this one location?" Sam took a step to the left. "I can't see it from here."
"Weird things always happen when..." Jack waved a hand in front of him, "that shows up."
"True." Sam stepped back in sight of the object. "But it doesn't make any sense."
"Nothing ever makes sense where this is concerned."
"What do you think we should do sir?" Sam eyed the object nervously.
Suddenly, the door they had been looking at opened and a simple tune drifted out. A tune that sent a shiver down their spines.
"I think it'd be best if we head back to Earth before anything odd happens." Jack said hurriedly, as they walked quickly back to the Stargate.
"Off world gate activation."
"Who is it?"
"It's SG-1 sir."
"Open the iris." Hammond snapped as he made his way to the gate room.
SG-1 came through the wormhole just as Hammond reached the gate's ramp.
"Hello general." Jack greeted as he came down the ramp.
"What happened Colonel? SG-1 wasn't due in for another hour."
"Well sir, we encountered something unexpected." Jack said, glancing at Carter as he spoke.
"Unexpected? We deal with the unexpected all the time, as you know very well Colonel, so you're going to have to be more specific. What kind of unexpected?"
Sam shifted uneasily. "It was a kind of unexpected we know sir. Sort of know actually."
Teal'c and Daniel had been pulled off the planet in a hurry with no idea why they were leaving, so they were just as much in the dark as General Hammond.
"'Sort of know'?" Hammond looked between O'Neill and Carter with growing irritation. "What is all this about?"
"Well we saw a door and..." Sam started to explain but was interrupted by Colonel O'Neill humming the tune they'd heard.
"Doo, dee, doo, doo. Doo, dee, doo, doo."
"...and it opened and we heard that. Sir." She finished.
Daniel's eyes widened. "Oh."
"You don't think it was real do you?" Hammond asked sharply.
"I don't know sir. It sure seemed real. And stranger things have happened then..." Sam struggled for the right words, "alien infiltration of television."
"Although I can't think of anything stranger at the moment." Jack added dryly.
Hammond thought a moment then made a sudden decision. " I'm putting a warning on that gate address. No teams are to go to that address, until a more detailed surveillance of the destination can be completed."
Jack released a breath he didn't even know he'd been holding, then lead the team out of the room.
Jack O'Neill and Samantha Carter. You have just escaped from...The Twilight Zone.
A/N: One-shot for now. I might add to it, but I doubt it. Hope y'all liked it.
Disclaimer: I don't own The Twilight Zone either ;).
