A New Day
Shoulder to shoulder, the sun rising on the horizon.
"I miss him." She spoke at last.
He nodded. He understood. She knew that he was the only one who could. "Me too. I mean her. Not him. I never really liked him."
She smiled softly, warmth of the sun beginning to spread, light caressing the world with it's soft touch.
Her hand found his, slipping into his larger one. Fingers intertwined. He squeezed, giving her strength, her giving him comfort in return.
Shoulder to shoulder they stood. Facing a new day.
Facing a new world.
A world without them.
Together.
