This is yet another *weary sigh* poem about my beloved Folken-sama.  This one is a bit darker than some of my previous ones, but I don't like it as much…  It's still a work in progress^_^.   Hopefully, though, it's different from the other stuff I've done… although I feel like I'm beginning to repeat myself with all these poems about Folken…@_@  But what can I say?  He's my muse^_^.  So enjoy!

Suicide

Born from the remains of a stronger man

After death had stolen your humanity,

Flourishing on the blood pouring from broken bodies

Of the innocent and guilty alike,

For the blind can make no distinction between finery and rags.

Encouraged by the distant tears of weeping mothers

You continue on, but…

No longer what you were;

A new creation,

Lost in a battle between apathetic love and hate;

The soulless feel nothing at all.

Looking down upon growing loneliness

You continue on, but…

Does some of what you were remain buried within,

Or has it all been washed away by the blood you've spilled?

Something inside cries, it weeps;

Crippled by your most cruel betrayal

You gave yourself to the darkness;

Let the cold take control.

It cries, in vain.

Holding on to a vanishing whisper

You continue on, but…

The tension inside your mind is building to a climax;

Realizing the truth hurt as much as you knew it would.

Your suicide cost more than your life.

It took your soul as well.

Yet a little of you remains,

Buried beneath the darkness that you have become.

Reaching for the fading light of you,

You continue on, only to find that you truly are…

Unreal like the tear upon your face

Empty like the body that you call home

Gone like love that's been drained away

Cold like the look burned into your eyes

Lost like the dreams you left behind

Dead like the child alone inside

Harsh like the choices you chose to make

Fake like the arm you had replaced

How can you expect them to love you?

Your suicide cost more than your life

You have been replaced with something false

Atonement is simply something you once hoped for

And still heaven is no closer than it was before the world turned gray.
