Chapter 1
Comm. Peshk Ynr: Okay crew, listen up. We have been issued to a top-secret mission that some of us might not return from. We have been ordered out to Quadrant 807.6. Yes that is right. We are going straight into enemy forces. We are and so is crew 35,87, and 94. It is vital that we destroy the starship there at all costs. Like I said. Some of us may not return. If you are going on this mission, please step forward.
Only four of the 10 crew members stepped forward.
Comm. Ynr: Okay. Those who have stepped forward stay here. I will go into the mission a little bit more. The people that didn't step forward go back to your corridors.
After everyone left, Captain Erisi Forge started to talk about the mission.
Capt. Forge: Okay. This is going to be our most dangerous mission yet. The other crews that are going got 8 men each. We only have seven. This is going to be 23 against maybe 100 dark forces TIE fighters. All we have to do is destroy the starship and then get back to the base. Sounds easy, but it is not.
Lt. Corran Zraii: That is right. It is going to be 23 against 100 or more. That means that we are going to have to surprise them. It is also going to have to be a hit and run. We leave in two days at 0600 hours. I want everybody in the stimulators. We have set it to the mission that we have. Now go.
All four men and women left. But the leaders remained there.
Comm. Ynr: It is going to be a long two days. And even a longer third. Most of us will not return to see the light of day.
Lt. Zraii: Then why are we still here? We should be at the stimulators with the rest of the crew.
The three leaders left the room. End of Chapter 1
