Funny story; I legit swore I posted this story months ago...but it turns out I just sent it to a few friends to get a second and third opinion. Whoops! Ah, well. I also did not mean to be posting this on Halloween, but here we are lol.

Anyway, hope you like it!

God Bless and Good Day!

My experience with Fazbear Entertainment has always been a bit…tainted, I guess I could call it.

I had always liked at least the idea of that pizzeria but…my family had never wanted anything to do with that company.

I saw commercials and ads and always loved the look of those animatronics, even as a young girl. In particular, the purple bunny and the red fox. They seemed so cool!

But no one in my family ever looked at anything to do with Fazbear Entertainment with anything but loathing since…the Incident.

It had to do with my grandfather, Jeremy. No one wanted to talk about it. At least, not til I was older.

My grandad used to work at a Fazbear Entertainment site, but then…something awful happened and now my grandad is dead. Sure, he initially survived the, er, incident, but he died only four years later, after being in a coma that entire time.

My dad, his son, was only five when the incident occurred. Needless to say, our entire family has never liked Fazbear Entertainment.

After all, getting your head bitten into (resulting in the loss of your frontal lobe) by an animatronic that should've had plenty of safety programming in place preventing said bite would make anyone distrust the company, but somehow Fazbear Entertainment has stayed open all this time.

But I was always curious about the company…not that I'm ever allowed anywhere near anything to do with that company.

Hell, I never even got any merch from Fazbear, much to my chagrin.

I do think there's a dark side to this company, especially as I grow older, but I can't help my enjoyment of the animatronic designs and curiosity about what the company is really like.

When I turned 18 I finally decided to do something about my burning questions regarding Fazbear Entertainment and its darker side.

I decided to start looking into jobs with Fazbear Entertainment.

Of course, I did it in secret. It would be the worst thing I'd ever done, at least in my parents' eyes.

Unfortunately, there were no job openings with my level of experience (which is none). The jobs were for some kind of video game beta tester or programmer, which I had no qualifications for, but I did get some news about some kind of giant mall being constructed, with the project completion estimated a few years down the line. Which means I have to work somewhere else first, to get experience while I wait for this place to open.

So I got a job as a daycare cook. It was an awesome job and I loved getting to see the kids so excited for their lunch and snacks.

Sometimes it got a bit stressful, but I had always been a fairly quick learner so I got the hang of it.

Then, a few months before my 21st birthday, I got news that the 'Mega Pizzaplex' was finally at the point of construction where the company would begin hiring so they could be fully staffed from opening day onward.

I sat in my car after my shift at the daycare and sent in my application. Surprisingly, there weren't too many openings.

But I did see an opening for a cook in one of the many small restaurants in this place. So I sent in applications for a few different places, hoping I'd get one.

I don't think I was qualified or prepared to be a security guard and I read on the website that there was some kind of security robots that patrolled the complex so there weren't many job openings in security.

So I kept quiet about this to my family, kept my head down at my job, and waited to hear back.

Finally, my phone rang! I'd put the hiring manager's number from the website in my phone so I wouldn't accidentally decline his call and I'm so glad I did!

"Is this Jemima Fitzgerald?"

"Yes, this is Jemima. Is this Mr. Terrence?"

"Yes. I will say, Jemima, we are somewhat desperate to get the human part of our staff situated and oriented before opening day, so is there any way you would be available in the coming weeks?"

"Well, I am still working at the daycare I put in my application, so I would need to put in my two weeks."

Thank God I'd moved out or I'd have to explain myself to my parents…eesh.

"Alright. So two weeks from now?" He asks. I frown. Why were they so eager to get the human part of their staff in the building so quickly?

"I'll keep you posted, but that should be fine."

"Good, good. Sorry if I seem super pushy. We're finalizing both construction and our animatronic characters, and we feel it's important to get the humans and animatronics acquainted before we open so there are no issues."

"Why would there be issues?" I ask before I can stop myself.

"Well, these animatronics are rather unique in that they're programmed to be as lifelike and sentient as possible so they can fully interact with guests and staff. Now, there are plenty of safety precautions in place, of course, so there's absolutely no possibility of danger. We simply want to ensure that no one is overwhelmed on opening day. If we're all friends before opening day, things will be smooth from the get-go. Does that make sense?"

I nod. "Yes, of course. I was just curious. I'll put in my two weeks' notice tomorrow and after that, I'll be available to come by whenever."

"Good, good. See you then!" With that, he hung up, leaving me vaguely unsettled but also excited.

What he said about the animatronics being sentient…wasn't possible, right? Programming can only come so far in human interaction stuff, right? There's no way these things are actually gonna be fully sentient…right?

Either way, I guess I'll be finding out soon.

In two weeks, I'd be starting my investigation!

If all goes well, I'll finally be able to find out what's really going on at Fazbear Entertainment and hopefully get some real answers.

I want to know if what happened to my grandfather was a freak accident, or if it was hinting at a darker purpose for those animatronics.

In all likelihood, I'm gonna find that it was just a freak accident and I'm just paranoid for no reason.

Yeah…that's probably what's gonna happen.

This'll be totally fine!

And if it isn't…well, I'm in too deep to back out now, I guess…
