Trilogy Surprise

Chapter one: Trilogy Tuesday

Four friends, Vivian, Meg, Darla, and James had been waiting weeks to see the three Lord of The Rings movies on Trilogy Tuesday, and the day had finally come. They were now waiting outside the theater in the rain.
"We should have dressed up," Vivian said looking around at some girls dressed as hobbits. "I'd make a great Frodo."
"We should have brought umbrellas," Darla said.
"They should let us in soon," Meg told them.
"Not soon enough, just look at my hair." Vivi complained.
"Shut up," Meg said grumpily.
"We're going to be here all day!" James whined.
"Ooh, they're opening the doors, finally!" Vivi squealed, pushing past some people who were ahead.
"Viv, get back here!" Meg yelled after her.
"No, I'm getting good seats!" She replied, walking through the door.

Twelve and a half hours later, they had watched all the movies. The credits were playing and the audience was now leaving. But the girls stayed in their seats. James got up and started to leave when Vivi pulled him back down.
"Why are we staying? Come on, let's go."
"No, we're staying to see Elijah's name," Vivi said.
James groaned.
"No, Orlando Bloom," Meg corrected.
"Ok, we're not having this argument again," James intervened.

They waited until both names had appeared and noticed Darla was asleep. James moved to wake her, but Megan stopped him.
"She's tired; we'll let her sleep through all the credits."
James groaned again.
"You do know they're like thirty minutes long right?"
"Yeah, I just want to stay."
"We want to get the whole experience."
"Fine," James said, sighing.

Thirty minutes later and the credits were over. They were the only ones left in the empty theater.
"Ok, wake her up," Meg said.
Vivi, who was sitting right next to Darla, shook her arm gently.
"Huh? Oh, did I fall asleep?" Darla asked groggily.
"Yeah," Vivi answered.
"Let's go." James said. Before he could get up, the lights went out and the room was pitch black. Vivi let out a little scream and grabbed James arm.
"Ok, what just happened?" Meg asked, looking around.
Before she could get her answer, there was a bright flash of light from the screen.
