Just Friends

'They're all watching us now, they think we're falling in love, they'll never believe we're just friends'

- Toby Kieth 'Kiss me like that'

Dot shifted slightly against him, waking Bob from his slight doze. He lay on his back with the living room rug beneath him, while Dot lay at a right angle to him, using his stomach as a pillow. He tightened his arm round her shoulders, pressing a soft kiss to her hair.

"You think they know?"

"About us?"

"Yeah."

"Maybe, I had another 'talk' from Mouse last minute." Bob smiled.

"Again?"

"Yep."

"We're going to have to tell them soon."

"But I love winding Mouse up!" He whined with a laugh.

"Bob, you are a big kid."

"Am not!"

"My point proven." Dot smiled sweetly at him.

"Is that so?"

"Yep."

Bob suddenly landed a pillow from the couch onto her face, making her squeal in surprise.

"You are so going to pay for that." Dot warned him, trying her best to glare at him without smiling. She grabbed the pillow from his hands before he could stop her and retailiated.

"Alright, now this is war!"

"Hey hey, not in my condition!" Dot protested quickly with a laugh.

"You're going to use that excuse for the next seven months aren't you?"

"Only if you insist on hitting me with pillows!"

"I suppose we should tell everyone before she makes it too obvious." Bob grinned proudly and rested a hand over her flat stomach.

"She?" Dot asked with a curious smile as she slipped an arm round his waist.

"Yeah. Definitly a girl."

"How do you know that then?"

"Special guardian powers. Ask Glitch if you don't believe me." He replied with a straight face, causing her to burst out laughing.

"Let's tell everyone tomorrow at the meeting." Dot suggested, cuddling up to him on the sofa.

"Yeah, tomorrow sounds good." He agreed, placing a kiss on her hair.
