**OK again let us see if I can manage to finish this story. it's been
taking me over several years to work on and finish. Why? Besides the fact
that I'm busy with school and work. there is a bit of the story that's hard
to portray the way I want to. So I'm left thinking long and hard on it.
Plus I have to be in a certain mood to capture it all right. I thank those
who have been supportive by reading this story. and poking at me to
continue and finish. I apologize for the delays. ^-^
Flowers From the Heart By: Maria / Gv Part Twelve
Trowa awoke sometime around eight o'clock. He rubbed his eyes for several seconds then stood and stretched. 'I feel so exhausted.' He walked into the bathroom where he filled the sink with cold water. He thought about Quatre's tear streaked face. He sighed. 'He shoved his face into the cold water and held his head in for a while.
Duo walked into Trowa's bedroom looking to see if he got up to fetch the flowers. "Trowa?" He looked around but didn't see him anywhere around. "Maybe he already left." Duo said out loud and stepping into the room. He was about to leave when he heard a noise from the bathroom. "Trowa..??"
Duo walked over to the bathroom and peaked in. He saw Trowa standing motionless with his head in a sink full of water. "TROWA!!" Duo panicked and grabbed a hold of Trowa's shoulders pulling his head out from the water.
Trowa was shocked when someone grabbed a hold of his shoulders that he opened his eyes and mouth as he was pulled from the water. He came sputtering out water. He rubbed his eyes and looked at Duo.
"Why did you do that?" Trowa asked him. Duo heaved a sigh of relief. "I thought you had drowned!! You weren't moving you know." Duo shook his head. "You really had me scared."
Trowa smiled. "Well I'm glad you care, Duo. I'm happy we're friends." He turned to the sink and released the water.
"So you going to go get what you need?" He asked Trowa. Trowa nods. Duo swifts from one foot to the other. "So are you sure you don't want me to go with you? It's a lot of things. and."
Trowa cuts him off. "It's ok Duo. I want you to remain here with Heero and to get some rest. You have to take Quatre out tomorrow and I asked Wu Fei to help me tonight."
Duo smiled. "Wu man is going to help you huh? I'm glad then. I'll go check to see if he's up and ready to go." Duo skipped out of the room. Trowa smiled after his friend.
~~~~~~~~~Outside in the Garden~~~~~~~~~~
Wu Fei was sitting out side where the garden use to be. He stared down at the ground. 'Repairing this is going to be a major task. Especially for just one person.' Wu Fei's thought were interrupted when Duo bounded over to him.
"Wu Fei, what are you doing here?" Duo asked him.
"I was just looking at what was once Quatre's garden." He says quietly.
Duo nods. "It's going to be awesome when Trowa finishes it tomorrow."
Wu Fei looks at him and frowns. "How do you expect him to finish repairing all this on his own? It's going to take a few days. Lots of flowers and seeds. Gardens take a lot of time and love."
"Gee... I'm sorry. I was just saying... cause well Trowa is very determined. That's all." Wu Fei nods.
"I'm sorry. I'm just worried."
Duo nods back at him. "I understand. Trowa is getting ready and should be down in a sec. Thanks for helping us out Wu Fei." Wu Fei looks at him for a moment.
"I'm doing this also for Quatre." He says and walks inside the house.
Duo smiles and goes inside as well.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~On the Road~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Trowa and Wu Fei rode in the car silently. They came to the large Mall complex that the town had, and it was pretty large because it had a large gardening store at the very top. The mall complex was had four floors if you counted the roof- where the part of the garden shop was. The roof had been made into a green house and they had vegetables and fruits of all kinds growing there amongst some flowers from exotic islands.
The guys walked into the mall and headed for the elevators. There weren't as many people as normal, from what Trowa could tell. Although the mall complex was located a ways out of town, people from other surrounding and not so surrounding towns came to this mall complex. A lot of times it was because of the garden shop they had.
They reached the third floor and head for the entrance to Unmei Garden Store. The store always had a refreshing smell to Wu Fei. He enjoyed walking into a store that smelled like flowers and gardening dirt. He scanned the area noting that there was a few more people in here then there was out in the rest of the stores. Trowa pointed in the direction of some of the garden extras.
"I was thinking of getting some of these flower barrels for some of the smaller flowers and then some of those wooden fence decorations for the flowers and plants that like to grow upwards." Wu Fei took all this in and nodded several times.
"Sounds like you're going to give the garden a bit of a new look too." Wu Fei had a half smile on his face. "I think it's going to please Quatre to see it that way too."
Trowa relaxed, relieved that his ideas weren't thrown back at him as being bad. "The barrels could sit one on each side of the doors going out to the garden. Then last time I came by here I saw these neat stones that said Welcome and other sayings. I though maybe we could get some of those and make a small walk way through the flowers where every now and then one of the saying stones would lay."
Wu Fei laughed. "Trowa I think you've gone Gardener."
Trowa smiled with a hint of a blush. "Yes. I suppose so."
He had been picturing what he wanted to do for his sweet beloved. He image of the garden to be amazed him. It made him determined to give Quatre something like that.
They sent about the story gathering the stuff in two separate baskets. Wu Fei also gathers some extra flowers and found a Venus Flytrap flower which he thought would be neat for him to keep in his room. They paid for the things they got and headed for the car with the baskets.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~8:30 a.m. Home~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Quatre woke up the next morning feeling pretty good, although very hungry. He went to his bathroom and washed up. He walked over to his closet and blued out some blue jeans and a yellow tee shirt. He smiled into the widow on the wall. 'I don't know why I feel like wearing yellow." He ran a comb through his hair and then headed downstairs.
Duo was walking up the stairs when he saw Quatre coming down the stairs. Duo whistled at Quatre who looked at him shocked. Duo laughs. "You look bright and sunny this morning Q! Are you already?"
Quatre loked at him confused. "I'm sorry Duo, ready for what?"
Duo blinked and then slapped his forehead. "That's right I forgot to tell you. Heero is taking us out for brunch!" He beamed, then muttered. "Wu Fei didn't want to go."
Quatre looked at him. "What about Trowa?"
Duo looked at him blankly. "Umm. well he's left for somewheres. I don't know where he's run off to." Duo sighs.
Quatre watches him. 'It sounds almost as though Duo has feelings for Trowa.' Quatre sniffs suddenly and Duo looks at him worried.
"Are you alright Quatre?" He asked genuinely worried. Quatre smiles at him. "I am fine and yes I am ready to go as well."
Duo took him by the arm and they walked downstairs together.
~~~~~~~~~~~~Living Room 8:40~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Heero glanced up at the two youths walking into the living room. He noted Quatre's silence and the sad aurora. Duo was trying to get him to be more talkative but running his mouth. How that was going to get him to talk was unknown. Heero walked over to them and nodded. "Ready?"
Duo grinned still holding on to Quatre. "Ready!"
"Good let's go." Heero walked ahead of them as Duo continued to babble away.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Upstairs~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Trowa watched as they left from upstairs. He sighed heavily once the door was shut and hurried to his room to grab some of the tools he bought last night. He hurried down stairs and to the garden area. Wu Fei was sitting there waiting. Trowa looks at him surprised. "Is there something wrong?"
Wu Fei shook his head. "I am here to help you work on this garden. As much as you may want to work on it by yourself there is no way that you're going to finish it before the end of the day. Not alone anyways. So I'm here to help."
Trowa smiled widely. "Thank you Wu Fei. thank you my friend."
They set to work. Wu Fei took one side of the ground and Trowa the other. They first plowed through the soil and made sure to remove all the unwanted weeds and roots left over. Trowa then got a stick where he started marking the soil for where the half circle walk way was going to be laid. Wu Fei was going back and forth from the tool shed where Trowa and Duo had placed a lot of the flowers they were going to plant.
Trowa soon was going to the tool shed where he started bring out some of the stones he had gathered to use on the walkway. Wu Fei came out with a sledge hammer. Trowa looked at him quizzically.
"You're going to need this to hammer the stones into the ground." He said. "Just to smash down on them cause you'll break the stones."
Trowa nodded and started separating the smooth, round stones from the rest. He was going to lay these down along the edges of the pathway. Wu Fei got a shovel and started digging some space along the edges of the pathway. Explaining that having a little bit of a hole to put the rocks in would make it easier to then hammer them down. After Wu Fei finished making small little path, he and Trowa started placing the round rocks into the space.
Once they finished with that Wu Fei started hammering the rocks down and Trowa started laying the other rocks along the inside of the walk path, including the stone with sayings he bought.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Yume Family Restaurant~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Duo kept chatting away when they got to the restaurant, where he sat down next to Quatre. Quatre smiled politely and would comment every now and then. Heero sat on the opposite side of them not saying much of anything. It took Duo a long while to finally decide what he wanted, simply because he was busy running his mouth. It wasn't until Heero told him to be quiet long enough to order that Duo fell silent.
Duo waved the waitress back to their table. Quatre had ordered some scrambled eggs and toast, plus a large bowl or fruit and a tuna sandwich. Heero asked for a grilled turkey and swish cheese sandwich and some French fries and mustard not ketchup. Duo looked at him oddly and then up at the waitress. He scanned the menu again and ordered a large bowl of vegetable soup and four grilled cheese sandwiches.
Heero narrowed his eyes at Duo when Duo started rambling on. "Quatre is something bothering you?"
Quatre smiled over at Heero. "No, I was just wondering why Wu Fei and Trowa. didn't want to join us. That's all."
"I think Trowa was going to help Wu Fei with his martial arts this morning. That's why neither of them was home when we left." Heero lied.
Quatre's lit up a little bit. "Well maybe we should get them something on the way home. I'm sure they're going to be pretty hungry."
Duo nods. "How about we make them some food. We could go to the grocery store and get some stuff. we are kinda in the need of more food."
Quatre looked thoughtful for a moment then nodded. "It sounds like a good idea Duo."
They food came in no time and they sat there talking and eating. Duo made it a point to eat very slowly. He didn't know exactly how much time he was going to get to stall them from returning home. Heero trying to keep they're conversations rolling too but he wasn't much of a talker.
Quatre was the first to finish. Duo looked at him surprised. "You must have been hungry. Do you want something else? We could get you something else Quatre." Duo chirped.
Quatre shook his head. "I'm quite full actually."
Duo looked at him. "But that was hardly anything. are you sure you're feeling ok?"
Quatre smiled at him and nodded. Heero gave Duo this look that told him to stop acting suspicious. Duo fell silent for two minutes before talking lightly about things going on in the world.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Back at the Garden~~~~~~~~~~~~
Trowa and Wu Fei had completed the walkway in no time at all. Trowa heaved a big sigh. 'That was a lot of work. My muscles are feeling a bit worn out.' He looked at Wu Fei and could tell he was feeling a bit tired too. "Do you want to work on the barrels while I work on the laying down some of the flowers here on the ground?"
Wu Fei nodded. "It sounds fine to me. Which flowers are you going to want in the barrels?" He asks as he gets the soil Trowa bought and started pouring some of it into the barrels. Trowa walked over to the assortment of flowers they had.
"Put in one of the barrels some Chrysanthemums, Asters, Iriss, some of these Billy Buttons and Anemones. Then in the second barrel put some Dahlia, Pincushions, Queen Anne's Lace and Delphiniums. For now I think that will do." Wu Fei stared at him amazed that he recognized the flowers by name now, without looking at their labels.
"I'm impressed. you know them by name now." Trowa hadn't realized that until Wu Fei pointed it out to him.
"I do, don't I?" He said amazed. Trowa started picking up some carnations and stephanotis's. "Do you think I should reserve this small space for the lilies?" He asked Wu Fei pointing to the part of the garden that lay in front of the walkway. "I was also thinking of moving the little sitting bench from against the house and placing it in the middle of where the walkway goes."
Wu Fei was nodding. "Good idea, we'll leave all that for last though."
~~~~~~~~~~~At The Grocery Store~~~~~~~~~
Duo looked up and down at each shelf trying to decide what he thought they should buy to make Wu Fei and Trowa something good to eat. Quatre walked beside him and Heero was pushing the shopping cart around.
"Duo, I thought we were just going to make something simple like sandwiches." Quatre said.
"But.. we still need some goodies just to have around. In case we get some midnight munchies!" Duo pleaded. Quatre sweatdropped. Heero shook his head.
"Duo, you're the only one who gets those midnight munchies." Heero said grabbing some oreo cookies and some graham crackers. Duo looked at him oddly. "For some of those things with marshmallow and chocolate." Duo grinned.
Quatre grabbed some bags of noodles and some tuna. He walked off to the next aisle while Heero and Duo continued to stare at what was there.
'Just need to make them some quick sandwiches and then I can talk to Trowa about us.' Quatre sighed as he held a bag of potatoes in his arms. Duo bounded over to him grinning. "Can we get some ice cream Quatre?" He said giving him big droopy eyes.
"Sure, maybe we can have a small party of some kind." Duo's eyes beamed.
"A party for what? Or to what?" Duo asked.
Quatre thought about it for a few minutes and then he said, "To happiness for all of us."
Duo smiled. "That sounds great, Q-man."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~On The Way Home~~~~~~~~~~~
Duo was twisting every single way in his back seat. He was nervous that Trowa wasn't going to be finished. He knew Wu Fei was going to help him, he had told Duo as much that morning. Duo was debating as to whether he should stall some more by requesting a snowcone before they got home. He didn't want to make Heero mad though. 'Please let him be done. please!' He thought to himself.
Heero tried to drive at a slower pace, he could tell Duo was anxious. But didn't want to make Quatre suspicious about them getting home too soon. 'You better be done Trowa, because we can give you no more time.'
"Do you think he's. I mean they're home by now?" Quatre asked disturbing the silence. Duo jumped and Heero's hand twitched for a moment.
Duo nodded. "They should be home by now." He trailed off. Quatre wondered what was wrong.
"Is something the matter Duo. You're awfully quiet now." He said.
"Nah, I think I'm just getting tired." He looked at his watch. "It's six thirty after all. I missed my nap."
Quatre smiled. "We've been out for nine hours or so."
They fell into silence again. And it stayed that way all the way home.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Home in the Garden~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Wu Fei came back to the garden. "They're back Trowa. You need to hurry up." They had managed to complete everything else. They laid out the walkway, prepared the barrels, planted all the other flowers around the garden, put up the little white picket fences, and Trowa was finishing laying down the lilies Quatre loved so much.
"I'm nearly through. and then when I am we can move the bench down to that spot over there." He points to a section he has left cleared off.
Wu Fei looked around at the garden they had worked on for nine hours. They even got out some Christmas lights and strung them along the concrete wall surrounding the garden. Trowa had recommended putting some on the bench once it was moved as well. Plus the barrels had some as well.
"The colors look wonderful. he's going to love it very much Trowa." Wu Fei pulled out a camera and snapped a picture. Trowa looked at him. "For memory sakes."
Trowa nodded as he hears the voices of the other three. Duo's especially since he was yelling at the top of his lungs.
"TROWA! WU FEI! WE'RE HOME!! WHERE ARE YOU!!? ARE YOU GUYS. HERE!?"
"That moron." Wu Fei mutters. "We're out here Duo."
"You don't need to yell Duo." Quatre scolds him lightly.
Wu Fei looks inside and sees them coming. Duo was pushing Quatre forward, he had a confused look on his face.
The trio stepped out into the garden and Quatre's eyes widen. He looked around the garden. He felt as though he were in another planet. 'What is going on? How did this happen? It's enchanting.' He stepped forward as Trowa stood up and dusted himself off. He wasn't finished with the lilies but he wanted to see how Quatre felt. Quatre walked over to some flowers and touched their delicate petals. Tears filled his eyes and he looked at his friends behind him, not Trowa.
They were all smiles at him and then point over to Trowa. Quatre turns to face him. He wipes at some of the tears. "Trowa?"
"I hope you like it." Trowa swifts from foot to foot nervously. "We all worked hard on this."
"You worked hard on this.." Duo corrected.
Wu Fei nodded. "It was all your doing."
Quatre walked over to him. He stood there tears streaming down. "Thank you." He whispered. Trowa wiped at his tears. "I love you, Quatre."
They embraced each other. Everyone was all smiles, Heero even wrapped an arm around Duo's waist. Then the sounds of engines was heard and a mobile suits foot ended up landing on the lilies Trowa hadn't finished laying down.
They stared at utter amazement and disbelief. Trowa moved away from Quatre and looked at the metal sitting there. He looked up and saw Rashid. He frowned down at Trowa.
"I'm sorry, I lost control and was trying to set it down away from the house. I am sorry Master Quatre." Rashid said.
Trowa kneeled down and Rashid moved his 'vehicle' off of the property. Rashid ran back to the yard afterwards and bowed. Quatre placed a hand lightly on Trowa's shoulders.
"We'll fix it Trowa. Together." Trowa looked up at Quatre and smiled.
"It'll make it more special that way. they will be from both our hearts." Trowa said looking into his soft aqua eyes.
"Yes, our flowers from our heart." Quatre said.
** Bwhahahahahahaa!!! I HAVE COMPLETED MY MASTERPIECE!!!! After what? Three years!!!! Oh my goodness. I am good. Just kidding. But it took me ALL day today (Jan. 3rd) to finish it. I don't how I became in the mood to write this up. and I know the end is corny with it's reference to the title. but who cares.. I pretty much laid everything I had wanted to say and do in it with some. YES! Well I hope everyone liked the way it ends. Wu Fei shook his head. "I am here to help you work on this garden. As much as you may want to work on it by yourself there is no way that you're going to finish it before the end of the day. Not alone anyways. So I'm here to help."
Trowa smiled widely. "Thank you Wu Fei. thank you my friend."
They set to work. Wu Fei took one side of the ground and Trowa the other. They first plowed through the soil and made sure to remove all the unwanted weeds and roots left over. Trowa then got a stick where he started marking the soil for where the half circle walk way was going to be laid. Wu Fei was going back and forth from the tool shed where Trowa and Duo had placed a lot of the flowers they were going to plant.
Trowa soon was going to the tool shed where he started bring out some of the stones he had gathered to use on the walkway. Wu Fei came out with a sledge hammer. Trowa looked at him quizzically.
"You're going to need this to hammer the stones into the ground." He said. "Just to smash down on them cause you'll break the stones."
Trowa nodded and started separating the smooth, round stones from the rest. He was going to lay these down along the edges of the pathway. Wu Fei got a shovel and started digging some space along the edges of the pathway. Explaining that having a little bit of a hole to put the rocks in would make it easier to then hammer them down. After Wu Fei finished making small little path, he and Trowa started placing the round rocks into the space.
Once they finished with that Wu Fei started hammering the rocks down and Trowa started laying the other rocks along the inside of the walk path, including the stone with sayings he bought.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Yume Family Restaurant~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Duo kept chatting away when they got to the restaurant, where he sat down next to Quatre. Quatre smiled politely and would comment every now and then. Heero sat on the opposite side of them not saying much of anything. It took Duo a long while to finally decide what he wanted, simply because he was busy running his mouth. It wasn't until Heero told him to be quiet long enough to order that Duo fell silent.
Duo waved the waitress back to their table. Quatre had ordered some scrambled eggs and toast, plus a large bowl or fruit and a tuna sandwich. Heero asked for a grilled turkey and swish cheese sandwich and some French fries and mustard not ketchup. Duo looked at him oddly and then up at the waitress. He scanned the menu again and ordered a large bowl of vegetable soup and four grilled cheese sandwiches.
Heero narrowed his eyes at Duo when Duo started rambling on. "Quatre is something bothering you?"
Quatre smiled over at Heero. "No, I was just wondering why Wu Fei and Trowa. didn't want to join us. That's all."
"I think Trowa was going to help Wu Fei with his martial arts this morning. That's why neither of them was home when we left." Heero lied.
Quatre's lit up a little bit. "Well maybe we should get them something on the way home. I'm sure they're going to be pretty hungry."
Duo nods. "How about we make them some food. We could go to the grocery store and get some stuff. we are kinda in the need of more food."
Quatre looked thoughtful for a moment then nodded. "It sounds like a good idea Duo."
They food came in no time and they sat there talking and eating. Duo made it a point to eat very slowly. He didn't know exactly how much time he was going to get to stall them from returning home. Heero trying to keep they're conversations rolling too but he wasn't much of a talker.
Quatre was the first to finish. Duo looked at him surprised. "You must have been hungry. Do you want something else? We could get you something else Quatre." Duo chirped.
Quatre shook his head. "I'm quite full actually."
Duo looked at him. "But that was hardly anything. are you sure you're feeling ok?"
Quatre smiled at him and nodded. Heero gave Duo this look that told him to stop acting suspicious. Duo fell silent for two minutes before talking lightly about things going on in the world.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Back at the Garden~~~~~~~~~~~~
Trowa and Wu Fei had completed the walkway in no time at all. Trowa heaved a big sigh. 'That was a lot of work. My muscles are feeling a bit worn out.' He looked at Wu Fei and could tell he was feeling a bit tired too. "Do you want to work on the barrels while I work on the laying down some of the flowers here on the ground?"
Wu Fei nodded. "It sounds fine to me. Which flowers are you going to want in the barrels?" He asks as he gets the soil Trowa bought and started pouring some of it into the barrels. Trowa walked over to the assortment of flowers they had.
"Put in one of the barrels some Chrysanthemums, Asters, Iriss, some of these Billy Buttons and Anemones. Then in the second barrel put some Dahlia, Pincushions, Queen Anne's Lace and Delphiniums. For now I think that will do." Wu Fei stared at him amazed that he recognized the flowers by name now, without looking at their labels.
"I'm impressed. you know them by name now." Trowa hadn't realized that until Wu Fei pointed it out to him.
"I do, don't I?" He said amazed. Trowa started picking up some carnations and stephanotis's. "Do you think I should reserve this small space for the lilies?" He asked Wu Fei pointing to the part of the garden that lay in front of the walkway. "I was also thinking of moving the little sitting bench from against the house and placing it in the middle of where the walkway goes."
Wu Fei was nodding. "Good idea, we'll leave all that for last though."
~~~~~~~~~~~At The Grocery Store~~~~~~~~~
Duo looked up and down at each shelf trying to decide what he thought they should buy to make Wu Fei and Trowa something good to eat. Quatre walked beside him and Heero was pushing the shopping cart around.
"Duo, I thought we were just going to make something simple like sandwiches." Quatre said.
"But.. we still need some goodies just to have around. In case we get some midnight munchies!" Duo pleaded. Quatre sweatdropped. Heero shook his head.
"Duo, you're the only one who gets those midnight munchies." Heero said grabbing some oreo cookies and some graham crackers. Duo looked at him oddly. "For some of those things with marshmallow and chocolate." Duo grinned.
Quatre grabbed some bags of noodles and some tuna. He walked off to the next aisle while Heero and Duo continued to stare at what was there.
'Just need to make them some quick sandwiches and then I can talk to Trowa about us.' Quatre sighed as he held a bag of potatoes in his arms. Duo bounded over to him grinning. "Can we get some ice cream Quatre?" He said giving him big droopy eyes.
"Sure, maybe we can have a small party of some kind." Duo's eyes beamed.
"A party for what? Or to what?" Duo asked.
Quatre thought about it for a few minutes and then he said, "To happiness for all of us."
Duo smiled. "That sounds great, Q-man."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~On The Way Home~~~~~~~~~~~
Duo was twisting every single way in his back seat. He was nervous that Trowa wasn't going to be finished. He knew Wu Fei was going to help him, he had told Duo as much that morning. Duo was debating as to whether he should stall some more by requesting a snowcone before they got home. He didn't want to make Heero mad though. 'Please let him be done. please!' He thought to himself.
Heero tried to drive at a slower pace, he could tell Duo was anxious. But didn't want to make Quatre suspicious about them getting home too soon. 'You better be done Trowa, because we can give you no more time.'
"Do you think he's. I mean they're home by now?" Quatre asked disturbing the silence. Duo jumped and Heero's hand twitched for a moment.
Duo nodded. "They should be home by now." He trailed off. Quatre wondered what was wrong.
"Is something the matter Duo. You're awfully quiet now." He said.
"Nah, I think I'm just getting tired." He looked at his watch. "It's six thirty after all. I missed my nap."
Quatre smiled. "We've been out for nine hours or so."
They fell into silence again. And it stayed that way all the way home.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Home in the Garden~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Wu Fei came back to the garden. "They're back Trowa. You need to hurry up." They had managed to complete everything else. They laid out the walkway, prepared the barrels, planted all the other flowers around the garden, put up the little white picket fences, and Trowa was finishing laying down the lilies Quatre loved so much.
"I'm nearly through. and then when I am we can move the bench down to that spot over there." He points to a section he has left cleared off.
Wu Fei looked around at the garden they had worked on for nine hours. They even got out some Christmas lights and strung them along the concrete wall surrounding the garden. Trowa had recommended putting some on the bench once it was moved as well. Plus the barrels had some as well.
"The colors look wonderful. he's going to love it very much Trowa." Wu Fei pulled out a camera and snapped a picture. Trowa looked at him. "For memory sakes."
Trowa nodded as he hears the voices of the other three. Duo's especially since he was yelling at the top of his lungs.
"TROWA! WU FEI! WE'RE HOME!! WHERE ARE YOU!!? ARE YOU GUYS. HERE!?"
"That moron." Wu Fei mutters. "We're out here Duo."
"You don't need to yell Duo." Quatre scolds him lightly.
Wu Fei looks inside and sees them coming. Duo was pushing Quatre forward, he had a confused look on his face.
The trio stepped out into the garden and Quatre's eyes widen. He looked around the garden. He felt as though he were in another planet. 'What is going on? How did this happen? It's enchanting.' He stepped forward as Trowa stood up and dusted himself off. He wasn't finished with the lilies but he wanted to see how Quatre felt. Quatre walked over to some flowers and touched their delicate petals. Tears filled his eyes and he looked at his friends behind him, not Trowa.
They were all smiles at him and then point over to Trowa. Quatre turns to face him. He wipes at some of the tears. "Trowa?"
"I hope you like it." Trowa swifts from foot to foot nervously. "We all worked hard on this."
"You worked hard on this.." Duo corrected.
Wu Fei nodded. "It was all your doing."
Quatre walked over to him. He stood there tears streaming down. "Thank you." He whispered. Trowa wiped at his tears. "I love you, Quatre."
They embraced each other. Everyone was all smiles, Heero even wrapped an arm around Duo's waist. Then the sounds of engines was heard and a mobile suits foot ended up landing on the lilies Trowa hadn't finished laying down.
They stared at utter amazement and disbelief. Trowa moved away from Quatre and looked at the metal sitting there. He looked up and saw Rashid. He frowned down at Trowa.
"I'm sorry, I lost control and was trying to set it down away from the house. I am sorry Master Quatre." Rashid said.
Trowa kneeled down and Rashid moved his 'vehicle' off of the property. Rashid ran back to the yard afterwards and bowed. Quatre placed a hand lightly on Trowa's shoulders.
"We'll fix it Trowa. Together." Trowa looked up at Quatre and smiled.
"It'll make it more special that way. they will be from both our hearts." Trowa said looking into his soft aqua eyes.
"Yes, our flowers from our heart." Quatre said.
** Bwhahahahahahaa!!! I HAVE COMPLETED MY MASTERPIECE!!!! After what? Three years!!!! Oh my goodness. I am good. Just kidding. But it took me ALL day today (Jan. 3rd) to finish it. I don't how I became in the mood to write this up. and I know the end is corny with it's reference to the title. but who cares.. I pretty much laid everything I had wanted to say and do in it with some. YES! Well I hope everyone liked the way it ends.
