There was nothing that could prepare Zoelle for this. She came close to becoming a finalist in a few Grand Festivals. She even almost made it to challenge the Elite Four. Heck even her teams were a little temperamental, well her first team anyway. But nothing, absolutely nothing was as nerve wrecking as this. Zoelle became a teacher in Viridian City. A kindergarten teacher nonetheless.
Now you might be wondering how she got into this position. Long story short she lost a battle to the director of the school. Yep that's pretty much it. It wasn't all bad though. The director promised her a place to stay and compensate her work of course. Good thing too since she was homeless.
You would think traveling around the world you would have a place to call home. Nope not Zoelle. Not since her parents died and her maternal grandmother and family disowned her. She would go to her father's side but he was an orphan.
The closest thing she had to family was her Pokémon and Professor Oak to a degree. He kept the extra Pokémon of course so there's that. Other than that Zoelle did not like thinking about her past or her situations. All that matters is that she has somewhere for her and her Pokémon finally. Right now it was time for a new opportunity.
"Alright kids, my name is Zoelle Morris but you guys can call me Ms. Zo. Is there any questions for me?" She asked with a smile on her face.
One young boy bravely raised his hands. "Why is you skin brown?"
"My father is a black man from the Kalos region . " Zoelle answered honestly. Of course she would have been asked that question. She knows the kid didn't ask out of malice just curiosity.
"Where are you from?" a young girl with purple hair asked.
"I stayed in Slateport city in Hoenn for awhile. But I consider Kanto my home for the most part. It's where I met Rebel." Zoelle smiled fondly.
"Who's Rebel?"
"He was just a small Charmander who did not like to listen but now he is a powerful Charizard...who sometimes listen hence the name. But he is my most trustworthy friend."
"Wow cool. Can we meet him?" a bifocaled boy with orange hair asked.
"Not yet. I don't even know any of your names yet." Zoelle laughed. "Plus he doesn't like being awoken from his nap."
"Well my name is James but everyone calls me Spinda cause its my favorite Pokémon." Spinda smiled brightly with his glasses almost coming off. Zoelle learned that the purple haired girl name was Aoki and the first boy was Sammy. Of course she learned all of the kids names and their personalities quite quickly. There was Jackson the Quiet, Lily the Funny , Jace the Tall, and Nora the Sneaky. Six kids for her class just like training Pokémon. It should be easy right?
