Gunfire, firing from the front. shooting at multiple bugs, or that's what the federation called the aliens who fell from a meteor "Bugs". The common bugs ranged from eight to

ten feet tall and had long sickle like arms that had sharp ends that can easily cut through metal with relative ease and beaks that can rip and tear into metal. They also used

it to climb, they were quite fast, and taking one down was easy, but they would often come in swarms. "Delta C Squad here, Making heavy contact with the enemy, everyone

HOLD your positions!" shouted an officer who was in command of a four-man delta squad that had already lost three of its squad members and had only three people with

him, a man named, a Japanese man named Yuu and a American named Johnny who was severely wounded. And Tom, the squad leader. Yuu concentrated burst fires into the

bugs since ammunition was low. "Dammit, I keep blacking out sir." Said Johnny, struggling to focus. "You'll make it, just keep talking to me." said Tom in frustration.

"Tossing last grenades!" shouted Yuu, quickly tossing two of the grenades towards the huge swarm of bugs. "Johnny! Gonna need you to hold the left flank!" shouted Tom.

There was no response. "Johnny hold the-" Tom looked and Johnny, motionless and had his gun resting on the ground. "Yuu! Cover the left flank!" said Tom. "On it sir!" said

Yuu. Laying suppressive fire towards the oncoming bugs. "This looks like the end of us sir." Said Yuu. "It was an honor." He added, looking to his sword, drawing it out. "Sorry

I couldn't get you back home Johnny.." said Tom. The bugs were just only twenty feet away from them as Tom heard a click in his gun and Yuu's did as well. Then, other

multiple gunshots was fired and killed the last remaining bugs. "Finally, bout time." Said Tom. More footsteps echoed through the corridor were Toms squad made their last

stand. "This is A squad, are you there Delta C squad?" asked a male voice. "Delta C squad here. We have one casualty."

"The others are dead. It's just me and an officer." Said replied Tom. "Got it, were here to rescue your squad sir." Tom and Yuu came out of their last stand area to be greeted

by other soldiers who were wearing the same metal uniform as they were. "Didn't expect to rescue delta squad." Said an officer from A Squad. "We didn't expect to stay here

longer than needed." Said Tom. "Looks like delta couldn't handle the bugs either huh?" spoke a man from A squad. "We've been holding this position for three days straight."

Said Yuu. "Do we have a way out?" asked Tom. "Yessir, after we blow this place." Said the captain of A squad. "Are there any more survivors?" asked a member from Squad A.

"At first, but the bugs kept coming, we tried to rescue as many as we could, now it's just us two left." Said Tom. "Sorry to hear about your squad sir." Said the squad leader of A.

"Here's to the dead." Said the squad leader of A. "And to the next to die." Said the rest of squad A in unison. "We located and found Delta Squad C, now moving on to the

next phase of the mission." Said the squad leader of A. Yuu looked over at Johnnys dead body and pulled out his dog tag. "Rest easy." Yuu said quietly. "Whatever you gotta

do captain, well accompany you. We're just empty on ammunition." Said Tom. "We can spare you some." Said the captain of A as he ordered some of his squad to spare some

ammo. Tom and Yuu accompanied squad A as they planted a bomb near a reactor of the ship they were on. They ran into a few more bugs along the way. "There's too many!"

shouted man from Squad A who fell on his back while a bug charged him. A couple of his squad mates tried to shoot, but it was risky hitting him also. Yuu then pulled out his

sword and jumped on the bugs back, driving the sword deep into the middle of the bug, making it drop dead with a scream. "Don't fall behind." Said Yuu as he stepped off the

dead bug.

"That's delta huh?" said a man from squad A. "Yeah. Too much of a difference in skills it seems." Said another one of the squad A. A few more bugs came screaming in the

direction the group just came from. "We gotta move sir." Said a man in squad A. Yuu suddenly heard one of the bugs fall into the ground dead with a giant hole on its face.

Then another, then another. "A sniper?" he thought, looking far off into a distance that showed a figure in prone position, shooting another round towards the group. "MOVE!"

shouted Squads A leader. The rest of the squad made their way into the area where they were supposed to be picked up in case of emergency. They all got on as bugs chased

them in desperation. "TRIG, we're on the move, get your butt in here right now." Said the squad leader of A. "Roger sir." Replied a female voice. The ship they were on lifted

off and was about to pick up their last remaining teammate. The ship made way to their teammate's location as they found the teammate running from a whole horde. "Hurry

up! Jump!" cheered a few of her teammates. TRIG, less than ten feet from the ship took a few more steps close to the ship when a few bugs came in front of her, stopping her

in her tracks. "TRIG" shouted a member of the squad A. TRIG tried to aim her gun and shoot, but she heard an empty click.

"Great." She said, slowly backing up. "Yuu, farewell." Said Tom before jumping off the ship and landed on a bug. "Go! I'm gonna blow this bug up! Hurry, jump!" said Tom as

he released a pin from a grenade. TRIG nodded and made her way as she had jump and was caught by a member of her teammate. A sudden loud BANG was heard with a

few dead bugs flew in different directions. The ship quickly distanced itself from the ship. "Thanks hun." Said TRIG as she quickly hugged the man who saved her. "You ready

MECH?" asked female that had a name ICY BLONDE carved into her armor. "Three…Two…One, Boom." Said MECH as he counted down. Yuu looked out the window of the ship

as an orange flash and flames came from the ship they were rescued on. "Oh that aint all of it." Said MECH. A second huge multiple explosives lit up throughout the ship,

blowing it up into pieces. The rest of squad A removed their helmets and breathed. "Another bug hunt down, another to go." Said a member from squad A. "He saved a

member of my squad, I hope to repay that someday." Said the leader of Squad A, offering Yuu a handshake. Yuu simply saluted without saying anything and kept his helmet

on.
