Ahh, Gensokyo. Such a wonderful place, full of many things. Beautiful sights, diverse locations and much more. Here we see a native in a remote location of a forest called The Great Youkai Forest playing while another native watch her.
.
Fairy: Are you done making a fool of yourself, fool?
.
?: No.
.
The 'fool' moved her arms and hands around that caused a shard of black obsidian to form. The shard shot fast and hit a tree with a red dot on it. The tree has shards of obsidian on all over it and where the dot was at, had nothing until the latest bullet hit the mark.
.
The blonde haired 'fool' smiled whiled jumping in excitement.
.
?: Yes! I finally got it. Now it's time to celebrate by getting some sweet sap.
.
Fairy: Good work, fool. You can attack like fairies do.
.
?(While snacking on some tree sap): Yes but I'll have to keep practicing. After all, this bullet attack is still new to me.
.
Fairy: Wait? You never attacked like a fairy before?!
.
?: Huh? If you mean by making a bullet out of the material you are naturally associated with, then yeah, kinda.
.
Fairy: Then what did you do mostly?!
.
?: Making tools and sometimes weapons, like my sword.
.
The blonde haired fairy pulled out a black sword. The blade itself is sharp and it has a slight purple hue to it, making it look otherwise pretty.
.
?: It isn't perfectly sharp and slick but I'm still improving it. Same for my tools.
.
Fairy: Ugh...you talk like a nerd! This is why you have no friends. Too nerdy, too tall and too cowardly to play and fight.
.
?: And forgive me but you're too bratty and a nuisance.
.
Fairy: Yeah, whatever Soloda, or what even is your name-
.
?: It's Sokolov.
.
Fairy: Whatever. Why don't you go play science with the Kappa.
.
The fairy began to flutter away with her wings, leaving Sokolov alone.
.
Sokolov (To herself): Hmm, maybe I will.
.
She sheathed her sword, grabbed her bag and began to head off. She kept wondering around the forest, keeping herself away from any fairies or youkai in the way but she eventually made it out of the forest.
.
Sokolov: Huh? Did I just accidentally left the forest? Ugh...I really was lost.
.
Just then, Sokolov noticed a flying object zooming in the sky. She started to flap her wings, which are made out of obsidian and began to get closer to the object. As she got close, she noticed the object is a broom and a person is on it, riding it like it's a vehicle.
.
Sokolov (To herself): Huh? Is she a human?
.
The blonde haired fairy continued to follow the human but after a minute or two, she realized she was faster than Sokolov. The fairy tried to catch up but it was starting to become futile. In the last second before the human started to pick up speed, Sokolov shouted at the human.
.
Sokolov: Hey! Human!
.
Her face started to blush as she shouted loud.
.
Sokolov (To herself): Oh...didn't mean to yell there.
.
?: Yes?
.
To her surprise, her yelling caught the attention to the human and she is right above the fairy.
.
?: What? You wanna fight or...
.
Sokolov: Eh, not really. I just wanted to get your attention.
.
?: Hah! To get the attention to someone like me, Marisa Kirisame, must really mean you wanna fight.
.
Sokolov: Wait, No. No no no. I see your clothes and I want to ask if you're a Magical Scientist.
.
Marisa: Magical Scientist?! Excuse me, I think the word you're looking for is 'Ordinary Magician'.
.
Sokolov: That..sounds a little complicated but it must be factual.
.
Marisa: That's because it is. Now then, shall we spar my freakishly tall fairy?
.
Sokolov: Freakishly? That sounds a little..mean.
.
Marisa: It does? Meh, I don't see the reason. And besides, you're too tall to be a fairy. I mean, SDM fairy maids aren't even as tall as you and they're like what, 5 foot something?
.
Sokolov: Like 5' 5" or 5' 6"...maybe?
.
Marisa: Something like that, maybe.
.
Sokolov: But why would size matter? I'm still just a fairy.
.
Marisa: Indeed. Just freakishly tall.
.
Sokolov: Ok, please stop with the hurtful comments.
.
Marisa: Why?
.
Sokolov: Because it hurts.
.
Marisa playfully pondered for a moment.
.
Marisa: Hmmm, I don't see it.
.
Sokolov: Really? But what if I said something like "your body is sexually unattractive"?
.
The magician's smile faded into a frown.
.
Marisa: Ok...we don't go there, okay.
.
Sokolov: So you see what I mean?
.
Marisa: Yep and that was strike three.
.
Sokolov: Huh?
.
Marisa pulled out a little device that is shaped like an octagon.
.
Marisa: The first was bothering me.
.
She aimed the device at Sokolov.
.
Marisa: The second was calling me a 'Magical Scientist'.
.
The device started to glow.
.
Marisa: And strike three..was body shaming me.
.
Sokolov started to panic as she used her wings to shield herself.
.
Sokolov: Sorrysorrysorrysorrysorrysorrysorry!
.
The device shot a massive beam of light at the fairy and as she braced for impact, the beam connect to her wings and surprisingly, the beam reflected back at the magician.
.
Marisa: What the-
.
At the last second, Marisa dodged her own attack and the beam vaporized some of the trees behind her.
.
Marisa: Did...Did you just reflected my attack?
.
Sokolov: Huh?
.
The fairy put her wings away and noticed the damage.
.
Sokolov: Did I do that?
.
Marisa: What are those wings made of?
.
Marisa got up close to Sokolov and began to observe her wings.
.
Sokolov: Hey wait! Don't try a-anything.
.
Marisa: Relax, ze~
.
Sokolov: I can't because we're sort of fighting.
.
Marisa: Then I forgive anything you did. Now, let me see your wings.
.
Marisa started poking and pulling on the fairy's wings, making Sokolov quite uncomfortable.
.
Sokolov: Eugh...Isn't there a better way for this..?
.
Marisa: Hmmm...Nope. Can't think of anyth-ow!
.
Marisa cut her ring finger from the sharp wing. She stuck her bloody finger in her mouth while carefully touching the fairy's wings.
.
Sokolov: If I told you what they are, would you stop?
.
Marisa: Fine. What is it?
.
Sokolov: It's obsidian.
.
The magician let go of Sokolov's wing.
.
Marisa: Obsidian? Isn't that some jagged stone?
.
Sokolov: Not entirely true. It's more of a brittle, but hard and sharp glass rock.
.
Marisa: I'm confused but it sounds neat. What are the uses?
.
Sokolov: Well..It's mostly used for tools and perhaps even weapons. See-
.
Sokolov pulled out some surgical tools, scissors and she even pulled out her sword.
.
Sokolov: I based this sword off of some Eastern European sword and this fork-
.
Marisa: What about magic-related stuff?
.
Sokolov: Huh?..Oh-uh, not really much. I mean besides creating them because I can manipulate obsidian and crafting them to make bullets and tools like the ones I showed you.
.
Marisa: Well then how about we use some of this obsidian for more interesting things.
.
Sokolov: W-What do you have in mind?
.
.
