Race against the past
This is our first Rimba racer with zzdragon and I hope you all like it and it'll be awesome, enjoy.
"Okay whoever is choosing the races and their location is really punishing their luck!" a racer wearing a full-body jumpsuit that leaves only his head exposed; the body is mostly orange but with black sides. The sleeves are black and gray, with black fingers on the glove portions. The logo is emblazoned on the left breast and shoulder of his suit, as well as on the back, the logo itself is a stirp with a rising lightning bolt. the driver's helmet is mostly black, but with orange sides and a series of orange stripes on the top, said
"Tag, focus on the race at hand, and keep your mind on it," said a voice over the intercom
"Tag is right Miles, the tracks of late seem to be hating on everyone." a cheerful female voice said as she saw a car that like it came out from the Borderlands game series having a hard time on the track.
"Meika, guys, be careful okay, maybe what Miles says might be true, and make sure Sonny is okay, Got it," said a female voice over the intercom, and Tag and Meika knew what she was talking about
"Roger that Tamira." everyone said.
"I'm sure they are gonna be okay, Miley, have faith," Miles turns towards the Female Arctic fox in a short dress to her knees and pink high-heeled boots with yellow straps, and she has on a short jacket with rhinestones like a heart. Her tail is fluffy and down towards her legs and on her arms are gold bracelets. Around her neck is a pink heart-shaped choker and in her hair is a bow barrette. "I hope so Miles," she said
As the racers reach the next turn the ground beneath them started to shake.
"OH NO! the car's vibrations had broken loose that part of the track." a voice said as the cameras showed that turn broking away from the track
Tag knew as he steady his car and drove towards a ramp-like rock, jumping over the rocks back onto the track
Then a mainly white car launches two drones.
'It's now or never!' the driver of the car thought.
"Incoming drones, Bro," said the arctic fox from the speaker
But instead of heading to Tag, the drones were heading towards the Belladonna.
"Meika, behind you," said Tag
"What!" Meika said
Meika swerved to avoid the drones and using her skill, the drones missed
But thanks to the drone Tag and Meika miss their chance to get off the rock.
"Need a hand," said Sonny
"Sonny don't!" Everyone on team Tag said but it was too late, the sun bear activates his car's special feature the sonic blast did more damage than help while it may have saved himself and Meelo however Tag and Meika weren't so lucky.
"Tag, Tag come in," said Miley as she panic looking at the screen
"I'm sorry Miley but the signals from both the Ripper and the Belladonna, but I'm sure they are fine," Miles told her
"Miles, im gonna get him out, I'll get my car," said Miley as she ran to her car, The Heartbreaker
"Miley you can't RGP rules say until the official search team has their time no other search teaming will be allowed!" Miles told her.
"I don't care, Tag is my brother and I'm helping no matter what," Miley started her engine
"Listen the Ringmasters use this against us we been close to taking them down and with what Pike just pulls, he won't get off easy not only does he possibly take a follow Ringmasters agent, he had break rule eight which could be seen as him try to kill both Tag and Meika, but thanks to him and Sunny there make be a new rule coming," Miles told Miley
"Listen to Miles, Don't worry, Miley I'm sure Tag and Meika are gonna be okay and besides Meelo might have the cameras programmed so please trust me on this, okay," Sonny said as she turned off the engine and nodded her head. "Okay, I trust you Sonny, and thanks, your the best," she said as he blushed when she said that.
With the duo, they went looking over what used to be their cars.
"Well good news is the in case of emergency bags won't damage, bad news is our cars are total," Meika said as she grabbed her duffle bag.
"So what are we gonna do, how long till rescue comes," said Tag
"We should set up our shelter a bit away from here since the search teams might need to blast their way here." Meika said
Tag got out his duffel bag and set up his camp, he even got out the basket of food his sister packed him
"Woe easy there Romeo, we might just be here a few hours not for the rest of our lives." Meika jokes
"My sister made this for me she is a great cook," said Tag
"Tag it was just a joke," Meika said
"I know," he said as he opened the lid
Inside were a whole roast chicken, a garden salad, mashed potatoes with butter, and one cherry pie.
"And yet it does seem like she's trying to play matchmaker," Meika added
"Yeah, but I think that she wants me to help her get closer to someone," he whispered to her ear.
"Let me guess Sonny? and thanks to the crash landing the com systems is out" Meika said
"How'd you know, and I'm sure they might find us," said Tag
"I meant that since the coms are out you don't need to whisper in my ear and Sonny feels the same towards Miley and they act around each other is basically out of a rom-com," Meika said as she sat down
"Well, it turns out she does like guys with funny personalities and she does like him," said the tiger handing out food
"Thank you, but what's with Pike and that move he tries to pull I know for a fact the Ringmasters doesn't like when one agent takes out another without it being an order and to do it on TV," Meika said as she grabbed the plate
"Miley told me about the drones, I thought he was aiming for me," said Tag
"And what we know about him, he's more cloak and dagger than trigger happy," Meika said confused about her former partner's actions
"So how long till help arrives," asked Tag to Meika
"When they know the area is more stable," Meika answered
"that means," the tiger asked
"Tag! a part of the canyon broken off because ten RGP cars just racing on if a search team isn't careful, we might be crushed while they are looking for us! so at least an hour or two." the vixen told the tiger
They found a lamp and lit it
"Man, this reminds me of my last family camp out." Tag said while he eats
"anything happened," asked the fox
"Before we could set up the tent a thunderstorm rolled in, and we had to camp in a cave." Tag answered.
"Miley was kinda afraid of the dark, happened when she was little and one time, she tried to make something and she almost woke the bats," Tag continued
"Then what happens?" Meika ask
"She ran deeper into the cave and I had to find her," he said
"I found at this pool with glowing moss on the wall." Tag continued
"Wow, then what happened," Meika asked fascinated
"We took off our clothes and went for a swim." Tag said
"And then what happened after," the fox asked
"We put our clothes back on and head back to our camp." Tag answered.
"But we were kinda covered in moss and mom had to clean us off," he said
"You rarely talk about your parents or your childhood," Meika said
"After my dad died, Our mom did her best to raise us," Tag said sadly
"At least you knew who your parents were as well as a real home," Meika said with a sad tone
"What about you," asked Tag
"I never knew my parents they die when I was a baby, and they didn't have no other living relatives, so I was sent to an orphanage but when I turn six some rich Jerk made it where the orphanage went bankrupt and buy the land the orphanage is on, so I was rase on the street and didn't have a good place to call home, you know the rest from there," Meika answered
"I'm so sorry, I didn't know really," Tag said sadly
"It's fine, but I do wonder sometimes if the guy who bought the orphanage might have worked for the Ringmasters," Mekia said
"Maybe," said the tiger as Meika asked how Miley came into his life and he told the whole story
:Flashback:
It was closing at the restaurant where Lilly work at.
"Hey mom, are you ready yet," said a small tiger as Lilly was putting on her coat
"Yes, I'm ready, Tag sweetie," Lilly told her son
Suddenly they heard a crash and an owie
The mother and son duo went to the back of the restaurant to see who make the owie, much to the two shocks it was an Arctic vixen wearing a dirty green sun dress with wore out sandles.
She was digging somewhere to find food
"Hello, there are you okay?" Lilly asks the child
She let out a grrrrrr as she was ready to attack and her stomach growled
"Hey! My mom isn't trying to hurt you!" Tag said in his mother's defense.
She calmed tag down as she ran inside and brought out some food
Tag kept an eye on the fox in front of him.
"You hungry," she asked in a calm voice as she put down a plate of food
The fox just nodded her head as she slowly went to the plate
She grabbed it and ate hungrily
"See we're not trying to hurt you," Lilly said with a sweet smile
She sniffed and hugged both her and Tag with tears in her eyes
"Here, here you'll be okay, Tag go unlock the car please," Lilly asks her son
He ran to unlock the car as they got in and drove off
Within a few minutes, the fox girl fell asleep
"Can we adopt her, mom, I always wanted a sister," The tiger asked his mom
"We have to wait and see what your father says about it," Lilly told her cub.
"But she has nowhere to go," the little tiger petted her head
"It's a big decision Tag and the paperwork needs both me and your father to signed," Lilly said as she drives
"I'm sure dad and Miles would understand, why don't we call them," asked the tiger
"Tag sweetie they're coming home tonight remember the season is over," Lilly told her son
"All right, can't wait to ask them," said Tag
Lilly smiled at her son while he was still petting the girl's head
They made it home
The lights were on showing that Riq was home
Lilly picked up the sleeping girl as she and Tag went inside
"DAD! UNCLE MILES!" Tag shouted as he rushes towards to greet the two men
"Hey there Kiddo, what's happening," Riq said as he hugged the kid tiger and Lilly
Riq's and Miles' eyes widen when they saw the female tiger bring the young vixen.
"Where'd you find this girl," miles asked as he stroked her head
"Behind the restaurant, the poor dear was looking for a meal," Lilly said as she put the kit on the sofa
"Dad, please, she has nothing to eat and no one is even looking for her, can we adopt her please," their son begged
Riq looks toward Miles for help
"You know your son Riq once he has his mind set on something he won't stop at nothing to get it and you know the old saying happy wife, happy life." the owl told his friend
"If it's okay with your mother, and what do you think miles," he turns to his friend
"Tag wanted a little sister now he's getting one, sounds like someone from upstairs help out." the owl said
"All right Tag, We'll adopt her but you must help take care of her okay, but what should we name her," Riq asked
"I will, as for her name how about Miley?" Tag ask
"Perfect name, Welcome to the family, Miley," Miles said as he petted her head
"I'll come over tomorrow to help you set up Miley's room as well as the forms you and Lilly need to fill out," Miles said as he leaves the house.
"Thanks, Miles," Riq said as he got covers for the fox girl
"Good thing it's still summer," Lilly said with a bit of a laugh.
"Let's do it, gang," said Riq as they went to bed and went to sleep ready for tomorrow
Before he leaves the room Tag kiss the top of Miley's head.
"Night Miley, sweet dreams," he said as he went to his room
: Flashback over:
"I never left her side ever since," he finished
"Whoa," Meika said
"Yeah and since we met you guys, she was filled with happiness including her secret crush," Tag said
"Yeah, from living the dream to walking on eggshells," Meika said
"Yup," said the tiger as he heard something
"Tag are you okay?" Meika questions
"It's all my fault, I made us come in here," Tag said folding in his knees
"Tag if you didn't, we might end up dead," Meika said
"But it was my fault," he said sadly
"No! wasn't if anything it's my fault if I didn't put that dumb device on the black box then the Ringmasters, Pike, Vyxx, Xeno, King, and his team would have been locked up by now." Meika said blaming herself.
"It's not your fault Meika, they made you do it, you didn't have to listen to them," he said holding his hand out to the fox's
"Thanks Tag," the vixen said as she takes the tiger's hand
"You think we'll get out of here," asked Meika
"I'm sure we will." Tag answered
"Do you think they will find us," asked the fox
"I'm sure of that too." Tag answered
"I hope we will find a way out," said the fox
"You know the old saying. They say in every life, there will come a time.
We must go on faith." Tag started to song
"We can not lose hope, We must not let go,
Take my hand and we will find our way," sang Meika as. She took Tag's hand and got up
"There's a light at the end of the tunnel.
Just you wait and see." Tag sang then he saw a golden light far down the cave.
"There's a place far away from our troubles
There's a light beyond the night shining for you and me," sang both Meika and Tag
"Meika look a light!" Tag said as he pointed towards the light he's see.
"It's a beautiful light, Tag, your right," Meika hold hands with Tag as they sang:
"There's a light at the end of the tunnel.
Just you wait and see.
There's a place far away from our troubles.
There's a light beyond the night shining for you and me."
They then see an ancient temple surrounded by a small forest.
"What is this place, it's so shiny and bright," said Meika as they walked towards it
"I don't know and yet it feels like I been here before." Tag said.
"Let's check it out," said Meika
"Okay, but don't you feel like you've been here before?" Tag asks
"Maybe," the fox said
As they enter the temple, they failed to see a picture of two people that look just like them.
Meanwhile onboard the Arc
"YOU FOOL WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?" one of the ringmasters shouted at Pike
J"I can explain, apparently I may have caused a cave-in, but by accident," Pike said
"The cameras catch everything Pike you try to take out both Tag and Meika! while Tag is one thing Meika is one of our agents!" another Ringmaster said
"It wasn't my fault," said the wolf
"While holding a Rimba race in a canyon was a very poor decision, you choose to use your car's special feature!" The first Ringmaster said.
"But, anyone can make a mistake, not just me," the wolf said
"This is your only warning!" the second Ringmaster said
"OK, I know," Pike said as he had hands in his face
"COME BACK HERE YOU LITTLE CREEP!" Vyxx shouted at Xeno as the horned lizard was running away from the mad spotted hyena female
"What's going on in here," shouted Pike
Instead of an answered Pike getting punched by the mad spotted hyena, the wolf looks at Vyxx.
"Sorry I was aiming for Xeno!" Vyxx said while pointing at the horned lizard.
"What did he do and what is going on here," asked the wolf angrily
"It's more like what he didn't do is his car can warn him about dangers near the track and he didn't warn us, so I decided to teach him a lesson about giving his teammates a heads up!" Vyxx said with a dangerous tone then she looks at Pike and saw blood coming out of his nose.
"I'll get an ice pack," said the hyena as she ran for the fridge
Confuse why the female hyena is thing Pike touch his nose, then he felt it Pike turn to see something he hadn't in an ever long
"Thanks for worrying about me, you know what go to the loading area there's a box with the real good drinks in it go get yourself one better yet try finding one that Tamira likes I know you're into girls and she is your type, so win her over with fav drink," Pike said trying to make Vyxx leaves
"And Xeno you should had warn us about that turn breaking off so if you don't to be Vyxx punching bag put the same warning gear in our cars or I let Vyxx have her way with you for ten minutes and if my memory isn't wrong, she makes guys around Krom size gone in less time than that!" The wolf told Xeno
Xeno nodded as he went to work
Vyxx thought about not taking the offer, but the chance gets closer to the panther was too good to pass up.
So she went to get her and the panther's favorite drink
Pike waited until the two are far enough so he could lock his room.
"After all these centuries, after so many failed searches, soon I'll be freed from this curse!" Pika said himself
