How is he doing has there been any change has he said anything today, Bant the young Targruta girl asked the healer as she stared sadly at the young man who sat the hospital chair staring blankly out of window at the Temple grounds and gardens .
The healer sighed and shook her head and then said sadly " Ashoka i hated to say this but we're going to face the fact that, we've done all we can and that his mind is broken and that he is living in his own head in a dream world that we can not be a part of ".
Tears welled in the Targrutan teenager's eyes and she shook her head and said " I can't just give up on him and accept that he just the shell of the person that was once my master I... I just can't Bant !" her voice faltered.
At this the healer put her hand on the girls arm and said softly " Ashoka it's been 3 years s...Bant swallowed back her own tears that threatened to flow , 'don't cry she told her self crying isn't going too fix Anakin or bring Obi back from the dead.
"I know Bant" but I am still not ready too accept that he is ... Ashoka swallowed unable to say the words, so she looked over the blonde haired physical shell of the young Jedi knight that had once been before his best friend, his master and Older brother died.
Oh Obi wan why did you have to take that kriffing mission , why did you have to die , how could you not know what your death would do too Anakin Ahsoka thought too herself as she walked over to where Anakin sat lost inside his head as he stared out of the window.
She sat down on the empty chair beside Anakins chair and said softly "Hi Sky guy I 'm back just promised, that I would be "Ahsoka told him ,But Anakin as always remain unresponsive Ahsoka sighed perhaps Bant was right maybe Anakin was happy in the world in his head.
Maybe it was a world where Obi wan was still alive and the war and the Rako Hardeen incident had never happened, and Anakin got to be happy maybe was why Anakin refused to rejoin the real world mentally Ashoka thought.
Because in his little make believe world in his mind where he could pretend that the last 3 years had been cruel nightmare and that Obi wan wasn't murdered by Hardeen and he was still here with them.
Was she just being selfish and cruel by trying to get Anakin to rejoin the real world and deal with what had happened? When he clearly didn't want too! Was she just clinging on to the Anakin she remembered as she didn't want to accept that person was just gone Ahsoka wondered now.
Was she just clinging to the ghost what had once been ,to the person that Anakin had been 3 years before that Awful , terrible day that Anakin's world and yes his sanity had crumbled. Ahsoka sat there beside the catatonic shell that had once seemed so strong and thought back to a time ,when she had thought things would change that Anakin and Obi wan would be around forever.
