Standing before Minato Namikaze, Konoha's Fourth Hokage, Kitsune, a veteran Anbu who has been in the core since he was seven years old. He is current sixteen years old and is preparing to take an S rank mission. "Alright, you are to go to the Land of Snow and meet with Lady Koyuki Kazahana, the daughter of the Snow Damiyo. You will remain their for a month. Afterwards, you will return back to Konoha and help her get settled in." Minato said.

"Yes, Lord Hokage. I will make sure that Lady Kazahana is in safe hands along with making sure she is returned to Konoha, safe and sound." the blond anbu said.

"Okay, you will be leaving tomorrow morning. Why don't you let your mother and siblings know?" asked Minato with a warm smile.

"Yes, Lord Fourth." Kitsune said as he vanished in an orange flash.

Minato was sitting at his desk with a sad look in his eyes. "It's okay. Nobody can blame you." said a silver haired man with face mask.

"Nobody can blame me? I litterally sealed Kyuubi away in my newborn son, sixteen years ago. The hatred this village has given him is unreal. I had absolutetly no choice but to put my son into the anbu blacks ops, just so he would have a fair and unbias career." Minato said.

"What kind of hokage would ask another parent to sacrifice their own child? Not you, you're a hero of this village. Naruto is too. It's because of you, that Naruto's potential is revealed. I mean, the boy has not only three kekkei genkai, but also a kekkei tota. The council would go balistic if they knew your son was like this. He'd probably be praised more than your children and Sasuke combined." said Kakashi Hatake.

Namikaze Compound

Kushina Uzumaki Namikaze, the wife of Minato, and mother of Menma and Mito, along with Kitsune, was currently preparing dinner. While she was stirring the Miso ramen, a knock was heard at the door. "I wasn't expecting anyone." she muttered to herself.

"Hello, Lady Kushina." Kitsune said in his professional voice that lacked any and all emotion.

Kushina frowned. "Naruto, why don't you call me mom anymore?" Kushina asked.

"My apologies. You're the wife of our hokage. It's only natural that I show you the proper respect. Even if the two of us share the same blood." Kitsune said.

"Well, come on in. Menma and Mito are in the back." Kushina said.

"I cannot stay for diiner. I've been given a new mission that will require me to be away for a little over a month. I've come to say my goodbyes." Kitsune said.

Kushina looked at her son and gave him a tight hug. "Naruto, will you please remove your mask?" asked his mother. Naruto gave her a nod and removed the Anbu mask that symbolized a fox. "Please, this one too?" asked Kushina.

Naruto sighed and removed the face mask that was the same as Kakashi's mask. Across his mouth, a massive scar appeared. Naruto looked at his mother with a broken expression. Soon, Mito and Menma came downstairs and were surprised to see their brother.

"What are you doing here?" asked Menma with a slight fearful tone.

Naruto looked at him. "Hello, . I'm currently informing Lady Kushina, yourself, Miss Namikaze, and Lord Fourth that I will be leaving for a month long mission, tomorrow morning." Naruto said.

"Whatever." Menma said as he walked over to the dinner table.

"What is the mission?" Mito asked her older brother. Unlike Menma, Mito tried to get closer with her brother, even if he scared her.

"My apologies Miss Namikaze. I'm currently unauthorized to speak about an S class mission. However, if you speak with Lord Fourth, he might inform you of the details." Kitsune said.

After the four of them spoke, Naruto left and proceeded to his apartment and prepared to pack for his mission. Inside his room, Kakashi appeared with a single eye smile. "Yo." Kakashi said.

"Hello, Captain." Kitsune said in his professional tone.

Kakashi sighed. "I heard you've got an interesting mission. Who knows, you may fall in love." Kakashi jokes with a chuckle in his voice.

"Not to worry, captain. I assure you that I'll remain professional at all times. As you know, the anbu are the shinobi that protects the village in the shadows. By allowing myself to become involved with another individual, it would pose them to danger for their connection to a member of the anbu." Kitsune explained.

"That's not entirely true." Kakashi commented. "Naruto, your parents and myself are worried about you. You don't go around your friends and you drown yourself with solo S rank missions. Something is bothering you and as an older brother figure in your life, I'd like you to open up." Kakashi said.

"There is nothing to worry about, captain. I am simply dedicated to my role of being a shinobi of Konoha. But, as your student, I would like to request some help. Could you obtain the items on this list?" asked Kitsune.

Kakashi grabbed the scroll and raised his single eyebrow. "This is quite the list. Are you sure it's for a single month?" asked Kakashi in a friendly tone.

"You've always taught me to expect the unexpected. I'm preparing for a minimum of six months." Kitsune declared. Kakashi nodded and agreed to assist the young blond.

The Following Morning

Kitsune arrived at the gate and met with Genma Shiranui and Aoba Yamashiro. Once they saw the S rank scroll, they nodded and wished the anbu well on his mission. Amusing the two guards, Kitsune threw a kunai with added chakra and vanished in an orange flash.

As he jumped through the trees and continued throwing kunai to flashed ahead, Kitsune was preparing to arrive at the harbor within the next eight hours.

"You're oddly anxious today." said a dark voice inside Kitsune's head.

"What makes you say that?" Kitsune asked his tenant.

"You seem nervous about meeting that women. Could it be that my jailer is ready to open his heart up?" joked the voice.

"No. Fool me once, shame you. Fool me twice, shame on you." Kitsune muttered.

"Haha. You want to know something funny?" asked the voice.

"What is it, Kurama?" asked Kitsune in a slightly annoyed voice.

"Your fellow villagers consider you to be a demon brat that's going to kill all of them. Haha, after all they've done to us, they're the real demons." Kurama declared.

"Yeah. I don't care. I tried to open up to this village and I got screwed over. Never again will I allow myself to be filled with such a weakness." growled Kitsune as he threw a kunai much harder than he planned to. When the anbu arrived at the harbor, he revealed the special pass given to him by the hokage.

He got on the ship and proceeded to his room. As he sat down, Kitsune went through a series of hand seals to create a privacy barrier. This will prevent anyone from walking in or bothering him.

Konohagakure Hokage's Tower

Minato was working on paperwork while his former sensei appeared in the window. "Hello, sensei." Minato said without looking away.

"Well, rumer along the grapevine is that you sent Naruto to go find his happily ever after." Jiraiya said in a chuckle.

Minato narrowed his eyes at his sensei in annoyance. "What makes you think that?" Minato asked.

"Haha. Come on, you know that I'm the number one genius when it comes to love. I see what you're doing. While I do indeed question your mental process, you have my full respect. Go big or go home, right?" Jiraiya asked.

"I'm doing this to further increase Konoha's relationship with other countries." Minato said.

"You're doing this because you feel that Naruto has completly shut off his heart." The toad sage said with a more serious glare.

"Can you blame him? I've never seen a person so heartbroken in my years as a human. To think that we call tailed beast demons. Sometimes I wonder who the real demons are." Minato muttered.

"I agree. As humans, we tend to do horrible things with our own justifications. But you can't blame that girl. It wasn't her fault with how she reacted. You knew this would be a problem for Naruto." Jiraiya said.

"I know I shouldn't hold this against her. Even if she's long gone, it doesn't change the fact that Naruto can no longer trust people. Shit, he calls me by my official title along with his mother and siblings. Yeah, we didn't exactly make his life easier, but still. We tried." Minato said as he slammed his head into the desk.

"I guess not hard enough. But I don't blame you. You did what you could. It's up to Naruto if he decided to make a change in his life. If anything, he may just open up to this girl. Especially when the two of them meet each other." Jiraiya said.

"You know something, don't you?" Minato asked suspiciously.

"Yes. You see, Koyuki has never had a friend before either. Everyone kisses her ass to benefit from her. When she meets our young anbu, she'll be shocked to see that he's just as cold and shut off as she is. Koyuki gives Kurenai a run for her money when it comes to the title of Ice Queen. I can only imagine when she comes here." Jiraiya said while chuckiling.

"I hope you're right. I did this because she doesn't know about what Naruto contains. I'm hoping that within the month, the two can become close and she'll accept whatever he has inside of him. I know a month isn't a long time, but it's the best I could do." Minato said.

Land of Snow

Kitsune arrived and exitted the boat and was greeted by Mr. Sandayu. The two walked through the snow in relative silence with the older man occassionally starting up with small talk.

"My boy, you aren't cold? Wearing a sleevless vest and shorts, along with open sandals. You'll catch a cold." Sandayu said with an innocent smile.

"It's no problem, . Due to a rare bloodline, I don't feel the harsh effects from the snow. Thank you for your concern." Kitsune said in his emotionless tone.

"How are you liking our home? I know it's different from yours, but we try to welcome our guest with warm hearts." Sandayu.

"It's nice. Yes, it's much different from Konohagakure. I do appreciate the hospitality that the people of your home have shown me." Naruto said with a sincer meaning.

The two walked eight miles and arrived at the castle of the Snow Damiyo. They entered the building and Kitsune was greeted by the multiple house keepers.

"Welcome to our home. Lord Sosetsu will be with you momentarily." said one of the house keepers.

Thirty minutes passed and Kitsune was greeted by an older man with long black hair, a green vest over his clothings. "Hello, thank you for coming all the way from Konoha to assist us. My name is Sosetsu Kazahana, I'm the snow damiyo and the father of Koyuki Kazahana." Sosetsu said.

"Good evening, Lord Kazahana. My name is Kitsune. I will protect and keep an eye on your daughter at the cost of my own life." Kitsune said with a bow.

"Please, call me Sosetsu. I don't care much for the honerifics. Now, please follow me. I will show you your bedroom." The Snow Damiyo said. Kitsune nodded and followed behind the Damiyo. When the two arrived to the bedroom, Sasetsu informed him that Koyuki will be in the upstairs room.

"Excuse my disagreement, Lord Kazahana. I must suggest that you allow me to stay within the room and around your daughter at all times." Kitsune said professionally.

"Do you really believe such things are really needed? I mean, isn't she safe in her home?" asked the Snow Damiyo.

"In my experience, my gut instinct has always turned out to be correct. If you're concerned about your daughters honor or privacy, you have nothing to be worried about. My duties of a shinobi will always come before anything. I will allow your daughter privacy, however, I cannot allow her to be alone. I get the feeling that someone in this home has negative intentions with you and your daughter." Kitsune explained.

Sosetsu looked at the masked boy. "Lord Fourth, you weren't exaggerating about your boy." Sosetsu silently thought. "I see. Well, you're highly recommended by your hokage and advisors, along with the legendary sannin, Jiraiya. I shall let this happen. However, be warned, if I find that your intentions aren't as pure as they're being made out to be, there will be hell to pay." Sosetsu said with a stern glare.

Kitsune bowed. "Yes, Lord Kazahana. I assure you, I will protect your daughter with my life along with keeping her honor in tact." Kitsune said.

"Alright, follow me." Sosetsu said and guided the anbu to his daughters room. He knocked on the door and when he was allowed to enter, Koyuki bowed.

"Hello, father." Koyuki said.

"Hello, dear. I've come to introduce you to Kitsune. He's been sent by Konohagakure and will be keeping an eye on you from now, until you move to Konoha." Sosetsu said to his daughter.

Koyuki looked at the mask anbu. "I don't need someone to watch over me." Koyuki said with annoyance.

"I know, dear. But please, it will put your father's heart at ease." Sosetsu said.

The girl sighed. "Fine, but I don't want to know he's around." Koyuki declared.

"My apologies, Lady Kazahana. I must inform you that due to the threat of an unknown foe, I cannot allow you to be outside of my sight. Of course, you will be allowed to handle any personal business. But I will still be around." Kitsune said.

"Absolutetly not! Father, how could you allow this?" Koyuki asked with rage building up inside of her.

"I'm sorry, dear. But it's for the best. I assure you, Kitsune has promised to maintain the level of honor that represents Konoha." Sosetsu said.

"Really? So, if Kitsune said he would make our land sunny outside, we just take his word?" asked Koyuki.

"Excuse me, Lady Kazahana. As unconvient as it may be for you, this is not up for debate. I will be keeping you in my presence." Kitsune said in a more stern tone. This shocked both Koyuki and Sosetsu due to nobody ever speaking to her in such a manner.

"Whatever. Just don't talk to me and make sure you perform your duties." Koyuki said as she walked over to her bed and pulled the covers over her head.

"Well Kitsune, there is more to you than what meets the eye. I heavily underestimated you." Sosetsu said mentally and let out a chuckle as he walked away to leave the two to their devices.
