"These hunters are getting further each day," said a man using binoculars with a hood covering his face, "Ana."

Just as he finished speaking, a bird-like wyvern flew down next to him as he took off his hood revealing a young adult with long crimson-colored hair and blueish eyes, wearing a wool cape, blue shirt with a light blue vest, black leather pants and brown wool boots.

The Legiana cooed to him as if talking to him.

"We need to move, it's not safe here anymore," he said as he looked at her, "with these hunters expanding their hunts it's only a matter of time before they stumble upon us."

He looks once more toward the direction where the hunters were.

"Let's get back to camp and pack up, I know I've made the right decision leaving my village," he said as he climbed on the Legiana's back, "I just hope it was worth it."

It's been two years since I left Kiurui village, I've never agreed with the way the riders get monsters, from stealing eggs and using kinship stones to bond with monsters, that's not a bond, there is no need for a kinship stone to befriend monsters. This is the reason I felt I didn't belong there, that I needed to leave

During my stay, when I was ten I used to very often explore the territory around the village and that was when I met Legiana, curled up next to the corpse of her mother who had bravely fought off a predator, but unfortunately in the end succumbed to her wounds, leaving her daughter that she protected alone.

Ever since then I've taken care of her, difficult at first but she grew on me after a few weeks.

I left at the age of nineteen years old, and not a word was shared of my abrupt departure, not that anyone would care anyway, after all, I was considered a freak by many, with no friends no family, conversating with monsters, who wouldn't?

I began to notice a pattern in the way monsters interacted with other monsters and humans and after a while, I started to develop a language to understand monsters, even speak to them in what I assumed was roaring, the villagers started gossiping about me making growling noises even if I was speaking normally as I always have?

And now Ana and I have traveled for about three months, looking for a place to stay away from hunters and riders, to start a new life alongside monsters,

To become one with them.

Hello! this is a story idea I had in my mind for some time now and I decided to make a prologue for now to remember better later, also my first fanfiction written, hooray. And a warning, the main character won't remain human for the whole story, if you're not into this kind of story you'll probably not gonna enjoy this one.

As for Casey's (didn't have the opportunity to introduce his name here) view on riders, this is how he portrays riders in general and its not about my personal thoughts about them.

I'll try to make more chapters, as my first story ever written is probably going to take some time to get used to write more and hopefully someone will enjoys this.
