I watch my lover sleep next to me, her breathing coming out in little, short pants, her chest heaving as she lays still.
Angel was a *fucking* idiot. How could he let this beautiful, vibrant creature go? No, he wanted her to be happy, and they both knew that could never be.
And now I've claimed her. She's mine, all mine.
"Darla." Buffy murmured as she turned in her sleep.
"I'm here, pet." the older blonde responds as she kisses her lover passionately.
"Mmm." Buffy smiles as they pull away.
"I have something for you." Darla pulled out a lavender box with a bow on it. She watches as Buffy opens it greedily.
"It's beautiful." Buffy admires the locket and reads the inscription. " 'Mine now and forever. Your lover and mate, Darla.' I love it, baby. I'll wear it forever."
"I know." Darla kisses her again. "In fact, I had this fantasy where you were wearing it and nothing else."
"I love the way your mind works." Buffy chuckled as she laid back down next to her lover. "I love you, Darla. Now and forever."
"I love you too, pet." Darla kissed her as they fell into a deep slumber.and that's the true tale of how Darla got everything she ever wanted. ~ -Fin
