Same Night: Rose Hill, Tennessee
Inside: Timmy's Garage
Dipper and Mabel hide in Timmy's garage to hide out and stay low for a bit. Timmy is talking to Dipper, who basically just told him to leave Mabel alone as she lies unconscious on a couch.
Timmy turns back to the Iron Man suit. He asks as he sits next to it on the couch, checking it out, "What happened to him?"
Dipper answers, a little more relaxed as they're not disturbing Mabel, "Life. I built him. I take care of him." He reads more of the paper before folding it again and carelessly tossing it to the side, "I'll fix him."
Timmy looks at Dipper as he touches the mask of the helmet, "Like a mechanic?"
Dipper answers, "Yeah."
Timmy then points at the standing Iron Woman suit, "And that one?"
Dipper nods his head to Mabel, "She does."
Timmy nods before explaining, "Hmm. If I was building Iron Man, Ruby, and War Machine-"
Dipper cuts in as he fiddles with something in his hands, "It's 'Iron Woman' now."
Timmy raises his eyebrows, "That's way cooler!"
Dipper shakes his head as he quickly denies, "No, it's not."
Timmy continues, looking down at the suit, "Anyway, I would have added in, um... the retro..."
Dipper interrupts as he asks, "Retro-reflective panels?"
Timmy nods as he finishes the sentence, "To make him or her stealth mode." He points at the Iron Woman suit.
Dipper asks as he glances at the Iron Woman suit, "You want stealth mode?"
Timmy asks Dipper, "Cool, right?"
Dipper shrugs, considering the idea, "That's actually a good idea. Maybe I'll build one."
Timmy grabs and accidentally snaps one of the suit fingers off, "Oops!"
Dipper tells Timmy, annoyed and a little mad, "Not a good idea! What are you doing? Are you going to break his finger? He's in pain. He's been injured. Leave him alone."
Timmy fiddles with the finger in his hand as he tells Dipper sheepishly, "Sorry."
Dipper questions, "Are you?" The kid gives him a sad look. Dipper shakes his head as he tells him casually, "Don't worry about it. I'll fix it." Dipper then asks, "So, uh, who's home?"
Timmy answers as he continues to fiddle with the suit finger, "Well, my mom already left for the diner, and dad went to 7-Eleven to get scratchers. I guess he won 'cause that was six years ago."
Dipper takes the information in, "Mm. It happens. Dads leave. No need to be a pussy about it." Dipper then crosses his arms and looks at the kid sternly, "Here's what I need: a laptop, a digital watch, a cell phone, the pneumatic actuator from your bazooka over there-" He nods his head to his right, "-a map of the town, a big spring, and a tuna sandwich."
Timmy asks Dipper, "What's in it for me?"
Dipper shrugs a bit, "Salvation. What's his name?"
Timmy asks Dipper, "Who?"
Dipper explains a little slowly, "The kid that bullies you at school, what's his name?"
Timmy asks Dipper curiously, "How'd you know that?"
Dipper doesn't answer, "I got just the thing." He walks over to his suit and opens a compartment on the back of the suit. He takes out a metal object and kneels down by the kid as he holds the metal object up for the kid to see, "This is a piƱata weapon. Point it away from your face, and press the button on top." He shows this by pulling the object away from their faces and pointing at the top button with his thumb, "It discourages bullying. Non-lethal, to cover one's ass." Timmy reaches out to take it, but Dipper pulls his hand away every time Timmy tries to take it as he asks, "Deal? Deal? What'd you say?"
Timmy answers, "Deal."
Dipper repeats, "Deal?" Dipper gives Timmy the object and leans back as the kid examines the object, "What's your name?"
Timmy answers, "Timmy. And you're..." He trails off.
Dipper answers, "The mechanic." Timmy looks at him, and Dipper looks at him, "Dipper."
Timmy looks at Mabel on the other couch behind Dipper, "And she's..."
Dipper answers just as quickly, "The technician and lieutenant. Mabel." Timmy nods. Dipper looks at Timmy for a moment, "You know what keeps going through my head?" He points with his finger in a circular motion to his head, "Where's my sandwich?"
Night: Malibu
Dipper's House
At Dipper's house that's now surrounded by emergency rescue; firefighters, cops, and news reporters.
Pacifica stands alone by the edge of the cliff, looking out at the water and the night sky with a blank expression, almost like she's waiting for the siblings to show. Pacifica looks down at one of Dipper's shattered Iron Man's helmet in her hands. She then brings it up to her forehead, leaning against it for a second, her eyes closed.
Pacifica then hears a faint beeping. She narrows her eyes, confused. She turns the helmet around, looks inside, and notices a red flashing light. The helmet activates as she puts it on.
Inside: Dipper's Iron Man Helmet
The helmet powers on, and Pacifica looks around confused as she hears a female synth voice, "Pines secure server. Retinal scan verified."
Pacifica suddenly gasps as she hears Dipper's voice and starts hearing the messages Dipper had left her earlier, "Pacifica, it's me. I've got a lot of apologies to make and not a lot of time." Pacifica chuckles a laugh, thrilled and relieved to know he's alive, "So... first off, I'm so sorry I put you in harm's way. That was selfish and stupid, and it won't happen again."
Outside: Dipper's House
A car suddenly speeds into the driveway and stops abruptly by the fountain. The car door opens, revealing a worried Wendy Corduroy. She looks around at the scene in front of her as she closes the car door and walks forward as she sees Pacifica.
A police officer walks up to Wendy's right and starts saying, "Excuse me, you're not allowed to be-" Wendy takes out her fake FBI badge and holds it up for him to see as she continues walking toward Pacifica. After seeing the badge, the officer stops walking.
Wendy calls out, "Pacifica!"
Pacifica turns her head and looks at Wendy as she takes off the helmet, "Wendy."
Wendy walks up to Pacifica and hugs her. Pacifica hugs back. She asks gently, "Hey, what happened?" They pull away.
Pacifica shrugs carelessly, "Mandarin attack." But she secretly gives Wendy a look. Wendy sighed, lightly took her arm, and pulled her aside where no one would hear. Pacifica says quietly, "They're alive."
Wendy looks at Pacifica confused, "What? Who?"
Pacifica answers as she lets out a relieved breath, "Dipper and Mabel, they're alive."
Wendy sighs in relief before asking, "Where are they?"
Pacifica shakes her head, "I don't know, Dipper didn't say."
Wendy nods expectedly and sighs before giving Pacifica a look, "Pacifica, what happened?"
Pacifica takes a breath before explaining, "There were a few..." She shakes her head, "I don't know... military helicopters. The first hit came unexpectedly, and Mabel got hurt." Pacifica shakes her head as tears form, "I should have seen it coming, but I was..." She trails off, knowing her and the Pines siblings' bickering distracted her, "Mabel got hurt."
Wendy stares at Pacifica sympathetically as she tries to explain and tells her gently, "Hey, you wouldn't have known what was gonna happen."
Pacifica nods in agreement, muttering, "Yeah." She looks out in the distance, "But I should've."
Wendy sighed, knowing how her stubborn friend would not let that go, "She's alive. That's all that matters, okay? Both of them." Pacifica looks down and nods, "Where's Phillip?"
Pacifica answers, "With Candy."
Wendy nods. then look at Trixie by the ambulance truck, "Did she say why she was here?"
Pacifica looks at Trixie emotionless, "Probably to warn Dipper. I'm not really sure. I'm going to ask." She looks at Wendy, "I'll handle it."
Wendy looks back at Pacifica as she denies, "No, I can handle it. You've been through enough the past 24 hours."
Pacifica shakes her head, "No. I'm okay. I just... I need you to look after Candy and Phillip for me. Please."
Wendy nods determinedly, "Yeah, you know I will."
Pacifica nods gratefully, "Thank you." They hug for a moment before pulling away.
Wendy nods towards Trixie, "Go. I can handle it from here." Pacifica gives her a grateful smile before walking away.
Inside: Pacifica's Sports Car
Minutes later, Pacifica's driving down the road with Trixie in the passenger seat. With an emotionless look, Pacifica glances at Trixie as she asks her with a semi-stern voice, "Why were you at the house tonight?" Trixie looks at her, a little frightened by her tone. Pacifica continues to question her, "What was so important that you had to speak to Dipper?"
Trixie takes a sharp breath, hesitating as she looks at Pacifica before admitting, "I think my boss is working for the Mandarin." Pacifica glances at her with narrow, confused eyes. Trixie looks away, "So if you still want to talk about it, I suggest we get ourselves someplace safe."
Pacifica questions Trixie as she takes in the information, "Your boss works for the Mandarin, you think? But Dipper says you're a botanist, so..."
Trixie interrupts humorlessly as she glances at Pacifica, then out the windshield, "That figures. I am a biological DNA coder running a team of 40 out of a privately funded think tank. But sure, you can call me a botanist."
Pacifica glances at Trixie with a stern expression, not liking to be interrupted, "This boss of yours, does he have a name?"
Trixie answers simply as she looks down, "Yeah, Bill Cipher." Pacifica's eyes widen a bit at the confession, and she turns her head to look at Trixie with surprised-shock eyes.
Unknown Location
Bill is sitting in an office on the phone talking to Giffany. Giffany's voice informs him, "Well, we took the house down, sir..."
Bill hums in understanding, "Mmhmm."
Giffany's voice finishes explaining, "But there's no sign of a body."
Bill states, "I see."
Giffany's voice concludes, "No Dipper."
Bill stands up abruptly as he tells Giffany, "I have to go." Bill explains as he walks out of the room, "The Master is about to record, and he's a little... Well, you know how he gets." He sighs knowingly, "Keep your appointment tonight and call me when it's done."
He hangs up the phone and puts it in his pocket.
Inside: Studio Room
Bill walks into a room after having the doors open for him by two men. The room has been set up as a set with all The Mandarin's props in place and a camera crew ready to record The Mandarin's message. Bill stands by the director and the screen and tells everyone, "Alright everybody. No talking and no eye contact unless you wanna get shot in the face."
Outside: Road
3 cars drive up the driveway and stop in front of the house. The men get out of the cars with one stating to them, "Report in."
The backdoor of the middle car opens, revealing The Mandarin. He gets out as one of his entourages calls out, "Path is clear." With his hood up, The Mandarin walks up and enters the house with his entourage on the lookout behind him.
A Mandarin lookout by the entrance reports on his walkie-talkie, "The Master is traveling."
Inside: Studio Room
The Mandarin enters the studio, heading straight to the set. Bill, talking to the director, notices him enter, steps away from the director, and watches with narrowed eyes as The Mandarin takes a seat and two women pull his hood down.
The Mandarin stares forward with a blank expression and barely glances at Bill as he asks bluntly, "Well then, what are we waiting for?"
