Timberwolves vs Thunder

Sasuke was currently sitting in front of his locker as he was in deep thought. In about a couple minutes he was going to play his first ever NBA game and not only that he was on a ten-day contract so he needed to perform or else he was back on the street, but there was also a lot of pressure coming into this game, that's for sure. He spoke to the coach earlier and he had him be the tenth man on the rotation as he got 8 minutes to show he needed to get signed. There was no pressure whatsoever. Checking his phone Sasuke read a couple of tweets that were pinned to him.

ShotCaller73- Timberwolves are giving Sasuke Uchiha a shot. And you know what. I'm all for it. You gotta love a good redemption story, I'll be rooting for him.

Alex Kennedy- Looks like the Timberwolves have signed Sasuke Uchiha to a 10-day deal. He's looking to prove himself after sliding all the way out of the draft in June.

Those were the only two and they were pretty positive, to say the least. Putting his phone back into his sports bag, Sasuke took his Jordan 4's from the upper deck of his locker. Wearing them he began to tie them as then Cory Brewer approached him.

"So you're the rookie that's gonna shock the world, huh?" Cory asked as Sasuke replied with a blunt. "Yes."

"Well if you just work hard, listen, and watch how we do, and you've got a chance to do something special. Now let's go out there and see what you got." Sasuke stood up and looked up at the tall Power Forward. "Oh I got plenty that's for sure, I got more than anyone on this team."

"Now that just sounds like arrogance," Cory replied as Sasuke chuckled. "You're the last person to tell me about arrogance, this season is already over for this team, when I got here you guys are sitting on a 7-37 record. That just tells you how this season has been going, you all are trash and I'm not sorry that I was supposed to be the one that told you this." Sasuke stated as he walked away. Cory just ticked as he just walked to his teammates.

When the game started Sasuke sat on the bench as he waited for his time, looking at the Timberwolves play, was such a bore for the Uchiha that he closed his eyes and slept through the first quarter. Most of his teammates didn't already like him, and the fact he was sleeping wasn't rubbing off them nicely.

When his coach saw this and the fact it was his time on the rotation. He just screamed at him. "UCHIHA!" he shouted as the fans close to the bench just jumped off their seats as they were caught off guard by the man, the Uchiha not even fazing just sighed heavily as he got off his seat.

"Coach?" he lazily said as he walked to the man. The HC didn't even know what to say as he just cheekily spoke. "Just get in there and show everyone why you went undrafted." when the man said this Sasuke just laughed a bit. "Ha...please don't try to make me laugh. You wouldn't like me if I took that serious." Sasuke gave the man a Madara Uchiha stare as the man just gulped at the glare. As Sasuke walked towards him, the man just got out of the way, only to be tripped into his seat by his assistant coach. Trying to show he was professional he fixed himself only for Sasuke to stare at him as he took off his warmup suit and handed it to the locker room manager.

'Just because I didn't play those stupid scrimmages everyone thinks they had the right to leave me on the board. I'll show them all what happens to waste my time!'

Folding his arms Sasuke waited at the Sub In station as he waited for the next dead ball. After a couple seconds, a free throw was won by the Thunder and both were scored.

"And coming in to replace J.J Barea at Point Guard is Sasuke Uchiha." the commentator stated as Zach Lavine brought the ball up the court.

Sasuke's POV

Zach stood at the right side of the key as he signalled for a play that was for me. The play was simple all I needed to do was bait my matchup to follow me into the paint and only to get his path blocked when I was outside. Pretty simple should I say and when I did so, my matchup actually fell for it. Being alone I got the ball from Zach and with one shot the ball just swished into the net.

"And with those points, Sasuke Uchiha has scored his first ever points in the NBA, wow what a milestone there for the youngster." the commentator added.

Retreating to D, I spread out my arms high as I widen my stance, Reggie Jackson was bringing the ball down the court and he seemed to have a purpose as he tried to actually get past me by calling an Isolation. It was never going to work as he telegraphed his moves a little to easily. Reaching in for the ball I got it but the ref blew his whistle.

"Reach in foul, Number 13." the ref told the score table. I just felt like complaining to the ref but I just didn't feel like wasting my breath. Jackson scored the two layups and because of this I needed to respond to his points.

Bringing the ball, I linked up with Lavine as I opened up a chance for him to shoot a three that had me get an assist, the Thunder inbounded very quickly before our defense could set up, but seeing that Jackson was bringing the ball up, I met up with him half court to stop him but he just passed over to Kevin Durant who just dunked the ball in.

'This is going to be an uphill fight.' I thought as it was going to be since we were down 45-31 coming into the second quarter.

You would think that I would be given more time to help my team tie up this game but guess what? Only with three minutes later I was subbed out, since my minutes were small. "Coach, can you explain how I'm going to be able to prove myself when I don't get anytime to show my worth?" I asked the HC as I walked to my chair. The man didn't even bother to reply to me. "Yo rook there's no point for you to argue for more minutes, remember your place, your just a rookie." Anthony Bennet of all people told me that.

"Well let me tell you Bennet this rookie here has more game than you ever had in your whole career." I told him as some of the guys began making 'ooh' noises. "Say that again rook?"

"I said you're just a waste of a 1st overall pick." I told him as I sat down on my seat, the man was fuming that's for sure but I just ignored him only to put a towel over my head as I took the Gatorade cup that was offered by the equipment manager.

In the end I could tell you one thing and that is...we lost. Are you surprised? Well you shouldn't as we have to play with Anthony Bennett of all people.

Back in the locker room I was in raged, this was the first game of my contract and I only had 7 points! 7 messely points in under ten minutes! I knew I could do better, that I knew but I just needed some more time on the court.

"You look like someone stole your lunch money," Cory Brewer walked up to me and he seemed to be chilled with a lost.

"I might as well look like this, if I continue to play like this, after my ten days I'll be gone."

"I mean it can't be that bad, sure we lost the game but you did your purpose, I saw you get a couple boards, running up the court with purpose, hell you even showed enthusiasm on D. I'm sure the GM won't be looking at how many points you score, what my mom used to tell me was that, every little thing counts. Besides you can't expect to adjust to the NBA game in one night. Just keep working, study film, spend time in the weight room every day and before you know it, you'll be playing instead of thinking out there. Alright?"

I just huffed as I nodded. After having my shower I just simply walked to the team bus with everyone else as we all headed for the airport for a fly back to Minnesota.
