It was the first of September and Chara would leave for Hogwarts today. She was nervous because she knew nobody there but also exited because she would finally see the place where her parents had met. When her mother had told her about her father for the first time when she was six she couldn't believe that she had fallen in love with someone she didn't like at the beginning. Her mother had only laughed and said that her father had a certain charm, you could barley resist. "What are you thinking about?" she heard her mother ask. "Nothing, just about how you met Dad", Chara said and pushed her card over the station of Kings Cross. Prue laughed and asked: "And you were wondering if you were going to meet your future one today?" "Mom", Chara called out and blushed, that was so embarrassing. "I'm only kidding", said Prue and wrapped her arm around her daughter, who shrugged it of immediately. Sighing she shook her head, slowly her daughter really turned into a teenager and by the time she came home for the holidays she would be quite mature and if it went on like this she soon would be taller than her. "There it is" said Prue and pointed at the wall between the platforms. "Are you sure?" Chara asked and looked at her mother with raised eyebrows. Prue nodded and Chara turned to the wall, after she had taken a deep breath she ran forward the wall and disappeared through it. Prue followed her daughter. With big eyes Chara looked up at the old steam engine. "Stunning isn't it?" she heard her mother say. Chara could only nod she was so speechless. "Come let's look for a compartment." Together they went down the train until they found a compartment and Prue helped her daughter to load her trunk and the cage with the barn owl. As Prue stepped back on the platform she looked around and saw close by a young man with scraggy black hair. She stopped this couldn't be. "Mom everything alright?" Chara wanted to know when she left the train as well. "Yeah", Prue said and kept starring at the man. "Who's that do you know that man?" Chara wanted to know. "Probably come with me", said Prue and pulled Chara through the crowd. The man was standing with his back to them and didn't realized that they came closer. "Harry?" Prue asked and the man turned around, his green eyes widened as he saw her. "Prue what are you doing here?" he wanted to know and hugged her. "It's my daughters first day", Prue said and pointed at Chara who was looking at the boy who was standing beside Harry. "Daughter?" Harry looked at Chara and paused. "Chara sweety that's Harry Potter." Chara turned her gaze away from the boy and looked at Harry and smiled. "Nice to meet you Mr. Potter my mom told me a lot about you." "Oh and what exactly did your mother tell you about me?" Harry wanted to know. Chara shrugged. "That he best friend was your mother and that my dad is your godfather." Harry's eyes widened as he heard this. He eyed the girl and he could really see similarities to Sirius. "Sirius", he mumbled and turned his gaze to Prue. She smiled and said: "Let's change the subject. What are you doing here accompany your children?" Harry laughed. "No, it will still take a while until my children are going to Hogwarts. I'm here for Ted", he said and laid a hand on the boy's shoulder. Prue looked at him and know she understood why her daughter had eyed him, because the hair of the boy was turquoise. Before Prue could say something a whistle sounded over the platform. "Mom I have to go or the train will leave without me", said Chara. Prue smiled and hugged her daughter. "I'm going to miss you. Behave yourself, understand?" Chara nodded and climbed into the train. In the meantime Harry had kneeled before Ted and talked to him before he hugged him and the boy just got into the train as it left. "What do you think will they get along?" Harry wanted to know when he got back up. "Their both marauders children I'd be surprised if they wouldn't," Prue replied with a grin.
Chara sat alone in a compartment and watched the landscape pass by the train. One of her drawings lay on the small table of the compartment. Suddenly she heard how the door to her apartment was opened and she turned her gaze from the window and looked at the door. "Hi can I sit with you?" It was the boy with the turquoise hair she had seen with Mr. Potter. "Sure", Chara said with a shrug. The boy smiled and sat across from her on the bench. "Your name's Scar isn't it?" Chara pulled a face. "It's Chara, it means star", she corrected the boy. He blushed and the tips of his hair turned pink. "I'm sorry, my name's Ted", he introduced himself. "Nice to meet you, what's about your hair?" Chara wanted to know. "Oh that", Ted laughed, "I'm a methamorph magus", he explained. Chara smiled that was pretty cool. Then Ted discovered the drawing on the table. "Did you draw that?" he asked and pointed at it. "Yeah but it's not so good", answered Chara. "Are you nuts this is great", said Ted and took the drawing into his hands. "That's my Dad", Ted said and pointed at one of the three men in the drawing. "Remus Lupin is your father?" Chara asked after she had seen on who Ted pointed. He nodded. "Yeah he died when I was very small", Ted said dejected. "I know how this feels, my Dad died before my birth." "Your Dad is also dead?" Ted wanted to know. "Yeah that's him", Chara said and pointed at Sirius. "Your Dad is Sirius Black, how cool is that", Ted's mood seemed to improve about this. Chara nodded grinning. She had the feeling that she would get along with this boy. The two spend the whole train ride together and told each other a lot about their lives. As they arrived at Hogsmeade they were brought across the lake with boats. "Nervous?" Chara asked as they waited that they would be lead into the great hall. "A little what about you?" Ted wanted to know. "A lot", Chara admitted. "Let's stay friends even if your put into different houses." Surprised Chara looked at Ted, she was glad, that he considered her as a friend after this short time, so she agreed. Finally, they were lead into the great hall by Professor Smith the deputy Headmaster. After the sorting hat had finished his song Professor Smith started to read out the names. "Black Chara" Chara took a deep breath and sat on the rocky chair. While the hat slipped over her eyes she breathed calmly. "I know exactly what I'm going to do with you. Gryffindor!" the hat called into the hall. With a grin Chara took the hat from her head and sat on her new house table. Curious she followed the sorting of her pals until "Lupin Edward" was called. Chara saw how Ted pulled a face at the mention of his real first name and decided to use it to annoy him if it was necessary. It took a while until the hat shouted "Hufflepuff". Ted cast a last glance at Chara before he sat on his table. It wouldn't be easy, but still Chara wanted to keep her promise, after all they were the children of the marauders so they wouldn't be stopped only because they weren't in the same house. They would stay friends no matter what happened.
