Over the next couple of weeks, the team had continued to follow Malcolm and all of the members of Tempest around and it looked like they had all of the information they needed to take Malcolm down. They still needed to take out all of the other members of Tempest first, so that they could use all of the information that they would give the police against Malcolm as well. The team was sure that once some of these useless members of Tempest would turn on Malcolm to get less time in jail for themselves.
The more pressing concern right now was that the particle accelerator at STAR Labs was going to go off in the next two weeks and if what they heard about it could go wrong if something did happen to go wrong, then this could be really bad. They would have to keep an eye on that. Not that it would bother them that much, since they already had powers, but who knows what would happen to the rest of the people in the city.
"Barry, I am going to put you, Cisco, and Caitlin in charge of looking after things that happen at STAR Labs. You three have the scientific minds to know what is going on." Oliver said.
"Yeah, this thing could cause a lot of problems. It could help with a lot of things as well. If all goes well, nothing will happen and it will be good for the city." Barry said.
"I guess it is good that Caitlin and I work there then. Everything looks to be in good shape so far, but I have done enough studying on it to know what could happen if something went wrong though." Cisco said.
"Yeah, me too. I just hope that everything goes ok." Caitlin said.
"Ok, so now that we have that settled, have you heard anything out of your aunt lately, Kara?" Oliver asked.
"No. Nothing at all. It is like they left the planet or something." Kara said.
"That would be great if that was the fact, but I don't think we would ever be that lucky." Laurel said.
"Me either. I am hoping to get to talk to Astra one day though. I might be able to change her mind about this with some time. She always had a soft spot for me." Kara said.
"That is a good thing. Do what you can if you do get the chance to talk to her." Oliver said and Kara nodded.
"So, what else do we need to look into tonight?" Thea asked.
"We know everything there is to know about Malcolm and his plan. We will start working on the members of Tempest tomorrow night unless something else comes up that is more important." Oliver said.
"Sounds good to me. I can't wait to beat up on some of those smug assholes." Sara said with a smile and Laurel couldn't help but shake her head, because Sara had always been the more violent minded one of the two sisters.
"Ok. Let's head out. We can work on the rest of this tomorrow." Oliver said and the others nodded as they left the bunker.
. . .
Barry and Kara decided to go on a date, but things didn't go as planned because while they were walking down the street on the way to the restaurant, they ran into someone that Kara knew.
"Hello, Little One." Astra said.
"Hello, Aunt Astra." Kara said.
"Do you mind if we have a word in private?" Astra said and Kara nodded and looked at Barry, giving him a look that told him to stay close just in case.
They walked into the park that was near them and then they sat down on a bench. "What is it that you need, Astra?" Kara asked.
"I was hoping to talk you into helping us. We are doing this so that this planet doesn't become like Krypton. It is the only way." Astra said.
"Taking away people's free will is not the way to go about doing that. I will not be a part of something like this. I am hoping that you will see things my way and change your mind. I can't take people's free will from them and be ok with it." Kara said.
"There is no other way Kara. These people aren't going to change their ways, just like the people of Krypton didn't." Astra said.
"It was too late for Krypton. People here on earth know that things are wrong and they are working on it." Kara said.
"But they aren't working fast enough." Astra said.
"We have to give them time and we can help with that by giving them technology from Krypton that might help. We don't need to take their free will." Kara said.
"Ok, you make a good point. I won't be able to stop my people though. They are too set on this." Astra said.
"You mean Non is too set on this." Kara said.
"Yes. You were always a perceptive one." Astra said with a smile.
"I don't know why you ever married that bastard. He has always been an asshole." Kara said and Astra's eyes widened at Kara's language.
"Who are you, and what have you done with my sweet niece?" Astra asked.
"I haven't had an easy life. I was trapped in the Phantom Zone. When I got here I had a good life until I was shipwrecked five years ago. When I was gone, I was trained by a group called the League of Assassins. I was turned into a hardened warrior there. I will do whatever it takes to keep this world safe even if it means killing all of your people and your bastard of a husband." Kara said.
"I am so sorry that you have had such a hard life. I will do what I can to help make it easier. Let me go and talk to my people. If that doesn't work, I will join you in taking them down. Go and have fun with your boyfriend. I will let you know how things go." Astra said.
"Good luck, Aunt Astra." Kara said as her aunt left and she went back to Barry so that they could resume their date.
