Far south, Malta was busy as usual.
MALTA
Among it's streets, a Mercedes-Benz GLA and Mercedes-Benz Sprinter drove as a cell phone rang, and a woman dressed in white named Soyona Santos answered a phone.
"I said I'd call you." She said.
"They land yet?" Lewis asked as he and Wilma wandered through a hall.
"Second plane is incoming."
"Who said anything about a second plane?" Lewis questioned.
"We flew them separately." Santos explained. "I'm not taking any chances."
"And we'll need payment before delivery."
"I didn't like what happened last time." Santos said.
"Okay. Okay, just... call me when it's done." Lewis said.
He then hangs up as they walk off.
"Remind me again why she was hired?" Wilma said.
"Sometimes I wander that too." Lewis said.
Santos soon placed her phone down.
Elsewhere in Malta on an airfield by the shoreline, a Cessna Citation CJ3 jet rolls up near a Fairchild C-119 Flying Boxcar and Santos teams were waiting.
Inside, Maisie and Tom looked outside as Maisie glanced over to the woman by them.
"You said I was going someplace safe." Maisie said.
"You are." The woman said.
Outside, 2 men rolled a cart with cages holding Blue's daughter and the Night Fury cub as the little Raptor squealed. Maisie and Tom soon stepped out of the jet and saw Santos by her car waiting.
"Walk to the car." Carolyn instructed.
Maisie and Tom then turned to her.
"No." Maisie denied.
"It's not a choice." Carolyn said.
They turn back to Santos.
Tom then turns back to Carolyn. "You and your team of smugglers are gonna real sorry very soon." He glared at her. "I promise you that."
Squealing was heard he and Maisie turn to the Sprinter van and saw the men loading the 2 cages into the van.
At the Fairchild C-119, an African American woman named Kayla Watts stepped out from it's cargo bay as a smuggler went up to her with a bag.
"50 grand to fly one little Raptor and dragon." He said. "Not bad."
Kayla looks through the bag and noticed Maisie and Tom walking over to Santos' car.
"What with the kids?" Kayla asked.
The dealer turns to them and soon back to Kayla.
"Not your problem." He said.
Kayla zips the bag close as Maisie and Tom saw her.
"Don't worry, I have good friends back home that should be looking for us." Tom whispered. "We just gotta play low for now."
Maisie nodded as they near Santos removing her shades.
Kayla placed the bag of money on her shoulder.
"Pleasure doing business." Kayla said.
The dealer scoffed and he turns and walks off as Kayla heads back into her plane.
"We're ready." A man said. "Let's go."
Kayla looked back seeing Maisie and Tom entered the car as she couldn't help but feel concern.
Elsewhere, Owen, Claire, Olivia, Jun, D'Angelo and Alex wander through the walkways. Before arriving, Olivia tried to get the kids to return home to ICARIS, but Jun managed to convince her of joining in. Oliva didn't like it one bit, but made them promised to stay close and do exactly what she said.
"Owen." A voice called.
They looked around and saw Barry and he and Owen hugged each other.
"Hi, Claire." Barry smiled.
"Mm." Claire hugged Barry.
"Long time no see, Olivia." Barry said to Olivia and hugged her.
"You too, Barry." Olivia said.
"I thought you would've chosen a quieter line of work." Claire said.
"I tried." Barry said. "My cousin and I opened a café. I lasted 3 weeks. The way the world is headed, it's hard to look away."
They soon head off.
"Delacourt was hired by Soyona Santos, a broker in the underground dinosaur trade." Barry explained. "We don't have intel on his cargo, but once they make the exchange, we'll see what they know about your girl and boy." He then hands them each an ear-piece comm. "You can listen in, but promise me you will not make contact."
"No." Claire said as they placed their ear pieces on.
Barry stared not looking convinced.
"Ouais, c'est ça." Barry said.
They soon head off as they near a harbor.
"There's a big underground market for dinosaurs now - Europe, Middle East, northern Africa." Barry said. "It all comes through here. And recently the market been getting some new creatures that our guys can't work out what they are."
They got to a man with a dog by a door, and Claire placed a coin in his cup as the dog grumbled. And the man brought out a phone and pushed a button, and behind the door, a red light turns green as it unlocks and opens as they head inside and indistinct shouting was heard.
"Don't look at anyone." Barry instructed. "Don't talk to anyone. Just try to blend in."
They wander through the hall as clanking was heard along with a dinosaur roaring. More dinosaurs were heard squealing and snarling as they entered a large room. Excited crowd chatter was filling the place as they head down the steps, nearby a crowd of men indistinctly shouted as they cheered as a juvenile Allosaurus and young Baryonyx with a robotic prosthetic left arm circle each other chained to their necks as they fought and snarled.
In a cage, a number of Compsognathus squawked squealy as another a few cages held Fireworms and Terrible Terrors that were somehow caught. Elsewhere, a man with a mask on sat by a young Carnotaurus chained and muzzled as indistinct chatter was heard, and a Stygimoloch sneezed as it was in a cage and heavily restrained in straps. In another part of the market place as indistinct shouting was heard, a cage held a trio of Microceratus resting as a smuggler grabs one of them as it whimpered.
Jun, D'Angelo and Alex felt sorry for the dinosaurs as well as Olivia and Claire saw a man with a Dimorphodon perched on his glove-covered hand. They looked around as indistinct shouting fills the place as a vendor was grilling cooked meat, a large lamprey and locust, and pass by Kayla sitting as next to her was a cage with a Lystrosaurus as it grumbled.
Close by, a man with a gray beard looks at a caged Stygimoloch and it growled and it lunged forward though restrained as the man gasped. And he soon turns to Kayla and went up to her.
"Hey, still flying for Santos, huh?" The man named Wigi said. "You must need money."
"What's it to you?" Kayla asked.
"I've got cargo." Wigi said. "Thousand kilos of dinosaur to Palermo."
The Lystrosaurus lightly grumbled as Wigi turns to him.
"Lystrosaurus?" Wigi said. "Very rare. I give you 2,000." He brought his money out.
"Eight." Kayla countered.
Wigi turns to her.
"He may be ugly, but he's got spirit." Kayla said and reached her hand out.
Wigi soon hands her the money.
"What are you gonna do with him?" Kayla asked unlocking the cage.
"He's mine, now." Wigi said smugly. "What do you care?"
Kayla then opens the cage.
Shortly later, indistinct shouting fills an arena as the Lystrosaurus was chained, and with him was an Oviraptor as it squawked. It tries to lunge at him but was pulled back from it's chain as everyone watched as the Oviraptor was eager to attack the Lystrosaur as it just stood there motionless.
Then the bell chimed as the fight begins, and the Oviraptor lunges, but suddenly the Lystrosaurus snatches the dinosaur by it's neck, and wrestled it off it's feet and then clamps down hard snapping the head off as the body got up and wanders around blindly.
In a restroom, Claire was washing her hands and Jun was catching her breath after nearly losing her last meal from the disturbing sight of the black marketers and the dinosaurs' predicament.
Soon Kayla appeared as Claire turned to her as she went up to a sink.
"You lost?" Kayla asked.
"You're American." Claire said.
"That make us friends?" Kayla inquired.
"Uh... She wasn't saying that." Jun said.
"Listen, I just got here, and..." Claire said.
"Oh, no, that was not an invitation." Kayla said. "Here." She hands them both a dinosaur tooth. "Souvenir. Go back to the hotel. You know, throw some bath salts in the bath. This place - not your vibe. Especially for someone your age, kid." She turned to Jun. "This isn't a place for kids." She then turns to leave.
"Wait." Claire said.
"Look..." Kayla said turning back to her.
"Claire." Claire introducing herself.
"I'm Jun." Jun introduced.
"Claire, Jun, I know this must feel exotic, but if you mess with the wrong person down here, you disappear." Kayla said. "You feel me?"
"We understand." Jun said. "But..."
"Good luck, okay?" Kayla said and leaves.
"Wait." Claire said.
Kayla walks off and heads down as Claire and Jun caught up.
"Wait." Claire said.
"What is this?" Kayla asked.
"I need your help." Claire said.
"I don't know." Kayla said.
"We're looking for someone." Claire said.
"Don't do that." Kayla said.
"She is all alone. Please." Claire said bringing out a photo of Maisie.
"My friend's been taken." Jun said bringing out the Halloween photo of her and Tom.
Kayla finally turns to them and looks at the photos recognizing them from the airfield.
"That your daughter?" Kayla asked.
"Yes." Claire said.
Kayla turns to Jun's photo. "He your boyfriend?" She asked.
"Ye- What, no! No, no." Jun quickly said. "Close friend since Grade School. Look, have you seen them or not?"
Kayla remained for a moment turning to the photos. "Sorry. I can't get involved."
She then walks off as a dinosaur snarl fills the marketplace.
Jun then sighed. "Now what?"
Meanwhile, a ship horn blasts through the air as Owen, Barry and Olivia were on a rooftop keeping watch on the waterfront.
Owen looks through a pair of binoculars and spotted 2 men as one of them in a long coat looked like Rainn.
"I think I got him." He said.
"Target on the move." Barry called through his mic.
Owen watches through the binoculars as Rainn and another man named Wyatt Huntley was with him.
"That's our undercover agent." Barry said.
"He better start praying I don't strangle him if he did anything to Tom." Olivia said.
"Claire, he's head-"
ed underground." Owen called Claire. "See him?"
"Yeah, I've got him." Claire said spotting him.
Rainn and Wyatt soon appeared.
"All right, let's go." Owen said.
They hurried across the roof.
"Team 4, need you to sweep spreading south." An agent called through a radio.
In the market, Claire, Jun, D'Angelo and Alex kept an eye on Rainn and Wyatt as indistinct chatter and laughing was heard.
"All units, take up bull's-eye position." An agent called.
On the roof of a building, a team of 4 agents begin to move into position as one with a sniper rifle got ready.
"This is Bravo One." He called.
"Primary target in sight."
Elsewhere, another agent looked through a camera seeing Santos in an alleyway by a Volvo N 10 looking at something behind a tarp as she snaps photos of her.
"No sign of the girl and boy."
Close by, Owen, Barry, and Olivia peaked behind from some boards.
"Alpha team, stand clear." An agent responded.
Not far away, Claire, Jun, D'Angelo and Alex got in position as well.
Soon, Rainn and Wyatt appeared as Santos turns to them.
"My people say the Raptor and dragon arrived in good condition." Santos said. "You boys didn't cock up this time. Color me amazed. I do have another job for you. Short hop. Money's double."
"What's the cargo?" Rainn asked gesturing the truck.
2 mercenaries moved the tarps aside revealing iron box cages as snarling was heard from inside them as Rainn and Wyatt stepped back tensed.
"Atrociraptors. And Speed Stingers." Santos explained. "Thoroughbreds. Trained to kill."
"Kill who?" Rainn inquired.
"Whoever they're told." Santos simply answered. "Laser marks the target, they attach to the scent, don't stop till it's dead. Inescapable. Those idiots making hybrids had it all wrong. You can't engineer loyalty. You have to nurture it. 50,000 to fly them to Riyadh. In or out?"
"She's not here." Claire said realizing Maisie wasn't with them.
"Neither is Tom." Alex said.
"Where are they then?" D'Angelo wondered.
Elsewhere in Malta, the GLA and Sprinter van headed down the streets as Maisie and Tom were in them.
"Where are we going?" Maisie asked.
The driver glanced through the back-view mirror. "Almost there." He said.
Back in the alleyway, a duffle bag was dropped as Rainn grunted unzipping the bag and reveals a large amount of money.
The agent with the camera saw this.
"That's the drop. Let's go."
"Weapons down!" A man demanded.
Rainn looked back as a pair of agents rushed in.
"Eye's on 'em!" One of them said.
"Hands in the air!" A third agent yelled aiming his pistol.
"Contact them!" Another yelled.
Santos' men aims their guns at them.
Wyatt then draws his gun out at Rainn.
"Delacourt, on the floor now!" An agent demanded.
"Get on the ground!" Wyatt demanded.
Rainn looked around.
"Delacourt! Stay with him!" An agent yelled.
"Shit." Owen cursed.
Then suddenly one of Santos' men fired as Claire gasped as Jun, D'Angelo and Alex got back as a gunfire started as Santos simply walked away and the Volvo N 10 speeds off.
"Get that truck out of here!" One of the mercenaries yelled.
Wyatt quickly nears a cage and fires as the bullet struck the duffle bag as Rainn and he flees as indistinct shouting fills the alleyway as Wyatt ducks behind the cage and fires at Rainn as he rushed through a doorway.
And the Volvo N 10 speeds off away.
In the market, Rainn runs through the hall as Owen and Olivia quickly chase after him.
"We lost Delacourt!" An agent called over a radio.
They got the marketplace as frantic chatter fills the place as Rainn jumps onto some crates and fell as he lands the floor.
Owen and Olivia hopped over the railing onto a platform and jumped down and saw Rainn running off.
Meanwhile, the Volvo N 10 speeds through the streets as the agent watches it through his sniper scope.
"This is Bravo One." He called out to the others. "Truck is approaching the underpass."
The Volvo N 10 turns towards a tunnel and ahead at the other end, an agent deploys a spike strip as it flew across the street, and the truck drove over them as the tires blew as and the truck served and tips over as the driver screamed as the Volvo N 10 crashed through the wall as the iron box cages flew out from the truck and hit the floor of a building's garage floor as the Atrociraptors and Speed Stingers snarled inside.
Meanwhile, Owen and Olivia were still chasing Rainn as dinosaurs snarled and chittered as Rainn rushed some crates, and then he flipped over a cage holding some Compsognathus as 2 others holding Fireworms and Terrible Terrors fell as well. The Compsognathus soon rushed out as some mobbed Owen as he quickly tossed them off as the small dragons flew around.
Rainn rushed up the stairs and pushed a guy out of his way grunting, and then fires at a set of chains holding some shipping containers. And then he halts to a stop as a Carnotaurus with a broken left horn came out growling. Rainn stepped back away from the dinosaur as an adult Allosaurus, Deadly Nadder and Monstrous Nightmare came out as Owen and Olivia arrived.
Rainn trembled as he aims his gun at the Carnotaur whimpering, and then he trips over the railing falling back as the Carnotaur snapped it's jaws missing him.
Owen gasped as Olivia stopped as the Carnotaurus growled turning to them as well as the Allosaur.
Rainn meanwhile whimpered as he got up as he was in a ring as a roar was heard as the young Baryonyx with the prosthetic arm charges at him as Rainn backed away. And then the Baryonyx snapped at him as it's chains held it back as a stone one of them jostled.
Rainn screamed as the young dinosaur was inches from him.
Owen and Olivia turned to the Allosaurus and then they both dive roll as the predator lunges just missing them as they quickly slipped under the railing as both dinosaurs ran into each other when the Carnotaurus tried to snatch them. They rushed off as the Carnotaur roared and the Nightmare roared igniting itself on fire.
Rainn runs off as then Owen and Olivia rushed in and tackled him as they fell into a fight ring as Owen and Olivia turned to Kayla's Lystrosaurus as he stares at them with a "Hmm?"-like grunt.
Owen and Olivia stared at the reptile weirdly and then turn back to Rainn as he turns to them, and they got up as excited chatter fills the ring as the smugglers watched as they start fighting and dodging Rainn's knife. The Lystrosaurus meanwhile plainly watches them as Owen ducks avoiding a slash move from Rainn, and then a young Carnotaurus lunges at him snarling.
Olivia punches Rainn as he stumbled as Owen turns back to him as he yelled.
Meanwhile, the Allosaurus snatches a man as others flee as the dinosaur toss him away and hits the Carnotaurus and the Nadder fires a blast as the smugglers dodge the flames as crates caught fire. The Carnotaur growled as it steps on the man and then roars at another smuggler as he stumbled back into a firepit.
He screamed and whimpered in pain as he falls to the floor and tries to roll out the fire as another smuggler rushed in to help.
"Come on!" He said as heavy footfalls thumped towards them.
He strained as then the Allosaurus snatches the man in it's jaws.
In the fight ring, Owen and Olivia were still fighting Rainn as they grunted dodging his knife as a spectator whooped and the Nadder lashed it's tail as spine flew in different directions. Owen then caught Rainn's wrist as Olivia upper cuts him, and Owen trips him as Rainn hits the floor dropping the knife. And then the juvenile Carnotaurus lunges biting down on his wrist as he screamed in pain. He turns to his left wrist as the Lystrosaurus was biting on his sleeve as he screamed more.
Owen pointed Rainn's knife at him.
"The girl, where is she?" Owen demanded. "Where did they take her?"
"What did you do to my son?!" Olivia fiercely demanded.
"Get it off!" Rainn cried.
"Where is she?" Owen yelled.
"I swear to God... if you did something to my son, I'll feed you to the dinosaurs myself." Olivia coldly threatened. "Where's my son?!"
"I don't know!" Rainn finally said. "We handed them off to Santos. I don't know where they took them after that."
The juvenile Baryonyx close by snarled as it continues pulling on it's chains, and then the stone holding the chain broke off and heads up the steps. Owen and Olivia looked and saw the young dinosaur growling as it turns towards them.
"There's one thing I forgot to mention." Olivia said to Rainn.
"What's that?" Rainn said in pain.
"I hate poachers." Olivia glared.
She then swiftly punches him, and he managed to recover as he then saw the Baryonyx and screamed as the dinosaur lunges biting down on his head as Olivia looked away. And then bones crunched as the Baryonyx snapped Rainn's neck as men exclaimed looking away.
"Claire's, it's Santos." Owen contacted her.
"The woman in white." He said.
"I'll find her." Claire said as she, Jun, D'Angelo and Alex were approaching the garage floor.
"Be careful, she has Atrociraptors and something called Speed Stingers." Olivia called.
"Speed Stingers?" D'Angelo frowned. "What are those?"
"Not sure, but can't be good." Jun said.
At the garage floor, the Atrociraptors and Stingers snarled in their cages as the team of agents rushed in.
"Bravo team, watch your six." An agent said.
They hurried to the down Volvo N 10 as an electrical buzzing was heard as the driver begins to recover.
"Hey, hey!" Wyatt yelled as they surround the truck aiming their guns. "Hey!"
"Hold it!" Barry said.
Then Santos appeared.
"Let them out." Santos ordered.
"What?!" The driver exclaimed.
"You heard me." Santos said with a fierce look.
The driver then pushed a button of a remove as it beeped, and one of the cages slots windowed as it whirred and buzzed. And the cage doors slide open as the agents turn to them joining up as snarling was heard.
Then an Atrociraptor with light gray coloration steps out of her cage growling and snarled, and a second Atrociraptor joins her with a brownish red and copper orange and tan striping. A third Atrociraptor had orange coloration and white underbelly, arms and lower jaws, and a black striping pattern like that of a tiger. And the fourth Atrociraptor has a primarily orange coloration, cream underside, and brown stripes running from the head to the hips.
And with them were 4 dragons similar in body shape, as they were Speed Stingers, the Velociraptors of the dragon world. And one of them slightly larger with a red stripe pattern and red fin on it's head as he was the alpha Stinger.
The pack of Atrociraptors and Speed Stingers then turn to the agents.
Santos then removes a laser from her bracelet, and then points a red dot on one of the agents, and then Barry as he saw it as he turns to her realizing what she was doing.
"Merde." Barry said.
Santos then pushed a button on the laser as it buzzed, and the Atrociraptors and Speed Stingers snarled viciously as their tails coiled their barbed stingers into attack position like scorpions.
And then Barry and the others made a run for it as the alpha Stinger roared as they charged and one agent screamed as a Stinger rushed pass him and struck him with it's stinger as he froze instantly from it's venom and Panthera lunges at him and mauls him as Barry flees to a boat. Another agent quickly rushed to a boat leaning on the wall and rushed and climbs up as Tiger leaps and snaps his jaws just missing him.
Barry quickly climbs inside a boat and pulls some tanks aside shielding him and turns a valve as gas hisses sprays out as Red and another Stinger as they squealed trying to get at him.
Close by, Claire, Jun, D'Angelo and Alex finally arrived.
"Claire, do you have her?" Owen called over from her earbud.
They looked around and saw Santos as she spotted them.
They hurried as Santos walks off as Claire grabs a taser stick from one of the cages and she turns it on with an electrical crackle.
In the boat, Red and the Speed Stinger snarled as they try to reach Barry as they reached through the gaps of the tanks snapping at him. Barry turns to the sunroof and grabs a baseball bat and starts banging on the window grunting hard as he bangs as it was locked.
Nearby, Santos was calling Lewis and Wilma.
"We had some trouble." Santos said.
"What kind?" Lewis asked.
"What happened?" Wilma demanded.
"The parents." Santos said. "Grady and Dearing - they're here. As well as Kullersen and the other 3 kids."
Lewis then sighed as Wilma growled.
"Can you take care of it?" Lewis asked.
"Not for free." Santos said.
Lewis scoffed. "Well, do it."
"Give me that!" Wilma said snatching the phone from his grip. "Listen, Santos, and listen closely." She warned with a cold tone. "I don't care how you do it, but get rid of them. Kill them all yourself if you have too!"
She then gives Lewis the phone back and walks off as he soon followed.
"Wong will thank me one day for getting rid of that myth nonsense failure of a daughter of hers'." Wilma said coldly.
Back in Malta, Claire, Jun, D'Angelo and Alex rushed of a doorway and soon spotted Santos entering a building a few people rushed by indistinctly shouting.
Santos rushed up the stairway as Claire's group hurried into the building.
Santos soon entered a room as a mother spoke in Maltese.
"Mama." Her son cried rushing to her.
The mother held her son protectively backing away as Santos got a window but looked back and pushed a button on her bracelet as the device buzzed and a snarl was heard as Claire, Jun, D'Angelo and Alex appeared.
"End of the line, poacher!" D'Angelo said.
"Okay, okay, listen." Claire said.
Then suddenly a flower pot flew by hitting the wall as she gasped, and then Santos snatches a paring knife and came at her.
"No, no, no." Claire quickly said.
Jun, D'Angelo and Alex got out of the way as Santos as Claire brought her taser out as it made an electrical crackle. And then Santos slash the knife as she dodges it and Claire swung the taser at Santos as she avoided it as they grunt and panted as they fought. And then Santos shoves against a window as it shattered and hits the floor. Santos then swung the knife fiercely grunting trying to slash her as Claire crawls back.
"Hey!" Jun yelled.
Santos looked back as then Jun swiftly punches her hard and fast as a rattlesnake in the face knocking her back as Claire jabs the taser at Santos as it crackled and she flew back into a table and groans in pain.
Claire got up as Santos turns to them with a black eye from Jun as they confront her.
"You don't use it on people." Santos said.
"Hey, you came at us with a knife!" Alex countered.
"Where's my daughter?" Claire demanded holding out Maisie's photo.
"What have you done with Tom?" Jun demanded glaring at her.
"She wasn't yours to begin with." Santos said.
Claire sparked the taser as it crackled as Jun's glare grew more dangerous.
"Tell me." Claire demanded.
"You literally have 5 seconds to tell us or I'll knock you into next Tuesday." Jun threatened holding a fist back to strike.
"Biosyn." Santos blurted. "They're taking them to Biosyn."
Elsewhere, the Mercedes GLA pulls into an airfield hanger as Maisie and Tom saw a Hawker 800xp jet with the Biosyn title on it as the car pulls up next to the jet.
"You missed them." Santos said. "They're gone."
Claire exhaled sharply.
"Well you're a fool thinking we're not gonna get ther-r-r... Ahh." D'Angelo then trembled fearfully.
A snarl was heard as they looked and saw Tiger in the hall with one of the Speed Stingers as they growled and snarled, and then they lunged as Claire jabs the taser at the Raptor as they were both knocked aside and hit the stove as Tiger let out a pained whimper.
Santos got up and points the laser at Claire's shoulder as clattering was heard as they turned to Tiger and the Stinger recovered and he hissed and snarled turning to them. They quickly got to a room and closed the door as the Stinger's tail jabs through the wood. Claire rushed to a closet door as the Atrociraptor and Speed Stinger bang on the door as Claire opened the door and saw the mother and son hiding whimpering.
They then turn to the door as Tiger rams through the door shrieking as Claire opened a window as they quickly jumped down landing on a pigeon coop and rolled off and hitting the lower roof as snarling was heard as Tiger and the Stinger crash on top of the coop as pigeons flew off as Claire, Jun, D'Angelo and Alex got up and took off running as Tiger and the Stinger chased after them.
Claire, Jun, D'Angelo and Alex run for their lives with the Atrociraptor and Speed Stinger in hot pursuit behind them as they ran across the roof.
A bell toll nearby as they ran towards the edge of a building, and then they jumped off and landed on the roof of another building. Tiger and the Speed Stinger leaped off the building as they flew through the air as he squawked as both has their claws out. The group quickly rushed off as Tiger and the Stinger landed hard just missing them.
They quickly ran as they got to a series of washing lines with hanging clothes as they rushed through them blindly as Claire looked back seeing the relentless Raptor and Speed Stinger right behind them.
They rushed through the hanging clothes as they got to a rooftop door and Claire closes the door gasping.
Tiger and the Stinger rams through the door landing on the staircase as they hurried down the steps.
Meanwhile, Barry was still trying to bang the sunroof open as Red shrieked and snarled as he and the Stinger were still trying to get pass the tanks.
Seeing they were nearly pass the tanks, Barry brought his gun out and then fires the lock off. Red and the Stinger begin to squeeze their way towards him as Barry gasped.
"Take my hand." Owen said reaching his hand down. "Come here."
Red then bites on the Stinger's face as it backs down, and he snarled viciously as he rushed forward as Owen quickly pulls Barry up as Red snaps at his feet just missing him.
Claire's group meanwhile ran through a hall panting as Tiger and the Stinger ran against the wall.
They continued running as they near the end leading to a patio, and then they stepped on a stool and made a leap over the rail and landed hard against the railing of the patio of another building as Claire yelped.
Tiger squealed as he and the Speed Stinger leaped over the railing and flew towards then as then the railing snapped as Alex and D'Angelo slipped and grabbed hold of Jun as the Raptor and Stinger missed them and crashed through the door into an apartment room.
Claire shudderingly breathes as Jun strained holding onto the bars.
Close by, Kayla stood in place hearing Claire's whimpering as a crowd of people shouted as they ran. Kayla turns and saw them hanging onto the railing as Claire yelled, she sighed and then heads over.
Tiger and the Speed Stinger got up and squealed as they looked around the room.
Claire pants as the Raptor and dragon hasn't noticed them yet as Jun slowly loosens her grip on the bar as it then snapped off and Claire lets go as they all fell and landed on the flatbed of a Honda Acty truck hard as Claire groaned in pain.
Kayla then got to the truck and got inside and got to the driver seat as the tarp peels back Claire, Jun, D'Angelo and Alex saw her as Kayla turns to them.
"Hold on tight." Kayla said.
"What?" Claire said as the truck's engine revved.
Kayla then floors the gas pedal as the Honda Acty speeds off as Tiger and the Speed Stinger ram through the doors chasing after them.
Back in the garage floor, Red and the Speed Stinger leap off the boat as he shrieked as Owen, Barry and Olivia turn to them each with a hand out.
"Any ideas?" Olivia asked.
Owen looked around and saw 2 iron cages behind them and thought of something.
"Do you remember how we used to get the Raptors in the truck?" Owen asked.
"Yeah." Barry replied.
"Yeah." Owen said.
They looked back seeing them as both Barry and Olivia were behind them.
"You're up." Owen said.
"No." Barry said.
"You gotta be kidding me." Olivia said.
Red and the Stinger stalked towards them as he growled and the dragon trilled.
"At the last minute, dive-roll." Owen said.
"I don't dive-roll." Barry said.
"You'll be fine." Owen assured.
"Easy for you to say." Olivia said.
Red snarled as he and the dragons stalked closer as Owen backs to the side of the cage.
"I never got the timing right." Barry said as he and Olivia stood in front of the cages.
Red snarled as the Stinger focused it's attention to Olivia.
"Now?" Barry asked.
"Any minute." Owen said timing it right. "Any minute now."
"Now?" Barry asked again.
"No." Owen said.
"Owen, sometime today please." Olivia said trying not to take her eyes off the Stinger.
Red shrieked as he rears into a lunging position as well as the Speed Stinger with it's tail curled forward.
"Now!" Owen said.
Red and the Stinger leaped forward as Barry and Olivia dive-roll just in time as the Raptor and dragon flew into the cages as Owen pushed the button as the cage doors closed.
"Whoa-ho-ho-ho-ho!" Olivia laughed. "That felt good!"
"Yeah. Yeah!" Owen said as they hugged each other.
And then Santos appeared.
"Freeze." Barry said drawing his gun out.
Santos saw them as Red shrieked in his cage as he and the Stinger banged against the walls.
"Where's my son?" Olivia demanded.
Meanwhile, the Honda Acty makes a sharp left turn as Tiger and the Speed Stinger chased after them as D'Angelo threw a bucket at them.
"I'm flying us out of here." Kayla said. "Tell me where you want to be dropped."
"You ever flown to Biosyn?" Claire asked.
Kayla turns to her.
"Owen, they took her to Biosyn!" Claire called through his earbud and Olivia listened. "There's an airfield on the north side of the island."
"Go." Barry said.
Santos held her hands up.
"If she tries something, blow head off." Olivia said heading off.
"You're under arrest." Barry said. "Stay where you are."
Owen quickly got to a Montesa 4Ride as Olivia got on a Yamaha YZ450F as they both start the bikes up as their engines rev as Santos placed her hands on her head. Owen and Olivia quickly speed off as Santos secretly reaches her laser and points it at them as Ghost rushed in snarling and hits the side of a boat as the alpha Speed Stinger appeared and chased after them.
Owen and Olivia leaped out from the alleyway as Ghost and the alpha Stinger chased after them as Panthera and another Stinger join in.
They raced through the street with the 2 Atrociraptors and Speed Stingers behind them as Ghost nears them and snapped her jaws. Owen looked back as Panthera snaps near them as Owen and Olivia turn dodging a truck as it's horn honked and a woman screamed as the 2 Raptors and dragons rushed by as they raced off.
Meanwhile, the Honda Acty speeds through the streets as Tiger and his Stinger partner pursue after them and dodged a passing car as it's horn honked.
Kayla drives as she glanced at the side mirror seeing them closing in, and Tiger nears the truck as he snaps at them as a steel bar and tarp slid off.
"Right!" Claire yelled.
Kayla banks the truck to the right as it grazes some bricks as Tiger and the Speed Stinger rushed through them. They rushed over other construction objects and a few bricks fell from a pile.
"Man, those things can move!" D'Angelo said.
"Heads up!" Kayla called out.
"Huh?" Alex looked ahead. "Whoa!"
They near some construction working platforms as a car honked it's horn and they ducked as drive through as steel bars on the flatbed were knocked off as Tiger and the Stinger rushed by.
The drove through the narrow gap as Claire grabs a shovel seeing the two closing in fast as Tiger snarled. Claire then jabs the shovel in the Raptor's face as he rushed out through a gap.
Kayla glanced back as the Atrociraptor follows them as the Speed Stinger joins next to him. And they soon got to the end of the platform and the Acty truck turns right and struck the Raptor and dragon off their feet as Tiger let out a pained whimpered as they hit the pavement.
Kayla glanced at the back mirror seeing Tiger and the Stinger quickly appearing as a passing car honked it's horn. Kayla looked ahead and saw a utility truck appearing as it's horn blasts. She quickly jerks the Acty left as tires squealed and the truck stopped as it banks right as it tips over and hits the side of the wall as Claire, Jun, D'Angelo and Alex held on. And the Honda Acty tips down as Tiger and the Stinger caught up to them.
Then the Speed Stinger rushed in and snaps at them and lashes it's stinger as Jun quickly grabbed a board piece and held it out as the stinger pierce through. The Stinger roared as it manages to bite down on D'Angelo's boot as he yelped as the dragon tries to pull him off the truck as Jun and Alex held onto him.
"No! Get back!" D'Angelo cried kicking the dragon's face. "Get off! Get off my ankle! Leave me alone!"
Jun then managed to grab the shovel and then whacks it hard against Stinger's face as it was enough for it to let go as he stumbled and fell as Tiger leaped over him.
Claire gasped looking up seeing Owen and Olivia on bikes rushed by as Ghost and Panthera snarled as they and the 2 other Stingers chased after them.
Owen and Olivia rushed through a walkway as pedestrians screamed rushing aside and the Atrociraptors growled along with the Speed Stingers as chairs and tables were knocked aside as they tripped over them.
They drove through the walkway as people screamed and Ghost snaps at a woman as she stepped back. Indistinct shouting fills the walkway as Owen looked back as they near them and Panthera snaps near the tire.
They then quickly rushed pass into another walkway as a chair flew and hits the wall.
Owen and Olivia speed through the street as then they near another as tires squealed as they slowed to a halt, and quickly speed off as cars pass by and a horn honks as a Range Rover hits Ghost and the alpha Stinger knocking them off their feet as Panthera and the other Stinger rushed by up a staircase.
Owen and Olivia looked by seeing Ghost and the alpha Stinger getting up and continued chasing. They then looked up seeing Panthera and the other Stinger on the rim of the upper level rushing in, and then Panthera snarled as they leaped towards then as Owen and Olivia banked right as the Raptor and dragon hit the street as a man shouted indistinctly as Ghost and the alpha Stinger caught as Panthera and the other Stinger hit the side of a car.
They turned to a staircase as Ghost lunges and they drove down as Ghost and the alpha stinger chased them as Panthera and the other Stinger catches up to them.
Meanwhile, Tiger shrieks as Claire slams some tools at him and the Stinger. She then grabs a steel bar and jabs it at the Raptor's face as he grunted.
The Speed Stinger snaps at them as Jun heavily bats the dragon on the face as Kayla glanced back.
Claire then saw they were approaching 2 cars and then held out the bar horizontal and it catches the 2 cars as Tiger and the Stinger clothesline the bar as they shrieked and whimpered as they back-flip in the air and hit the street hard.
Owen and Olivia meanwhile raced through the street as Ghost, Panthera and the 2 Stingers chased them.
They then near a plaza as people ran by as Panthera ran into Ghost as people crowd as the Allosaurus, Carnotaurus, Nadder and Nightmare from the market cause a panic after escaping as the Allosaur roared.
Owen and Oliva turns to the crowd as the Carnotaur roared as a man on a electric scooter looked back, and then was suddenly snatched by the Allosaurus. They drove by as the Allosaur chomps on the man as it swallows him, and the Nadder and Monstrous Nightmare roared as they then fly off as the 2 Atrociraptors and Speed Stingers rushed by as the Carnotaurus turns to them.
They raced through the plaza as Panthera and a Stinger knocks some tables overs as Ghost slips hitting a chair and the alpha Stinger tripped over her. Owen and Olivia raced through the crowd and tables as Panthera and the other Stinger chased them.
Meanwhile, the Honda Acty races towards the airfield.
The truck soon halts to a stop as Kayla, Claire, Jun, D'Angelo and Alex climbed off and quickly rushed to the Fairchild C-119.
Owen and Olivia raced out of a tunnel through the street as the pack of 2 Atrociraptors and Speed Stingers were still behind them with Ghost and the alpha Stinger leading them.
Kayla, Claire, Jun, D'Angelo and Alex quickly climbed into the C-119's cockpit.
"I always wanted to see a Fairchild C-119." D'Angelo said.
"We made a lot of enemies today." Kayla said working the controls. "We got to go."
"He'll be here." Claire said climbing to the co-pilot seat.
"Uh-huh." Kayla replied.
She pushed the throttle up as the C-119's engines whirred as it begins to roll forward. Kayla hurries with the controls as they lined up with the runway.
"Out of time, out of time." Kayla said.
Then Jun noticed something. "Wait, there!"
In the distance, Owen and Olivia were seen in the trail as Claire saw them.
"There he is." She said.
Owen and Olivia raced towards the airfield as Ghost and Panthera snarled as they and the Speed Stingers were right behind them.
"Pull over." Claire said.
"That's not how planes work." Kayla said.
Owen and Olivia near the runway as they turned and Panthera rushed up a small him and lunges narrowly missing them as they rush on the runway as Ghost momentarily slipped.
"Open the back." Claire said.
She then heads to the cargo bay as Jun, D'Angelo and Alex followed.
The Fairchild C-119 speeds across the runway as Owen and Olivia hurry towards it with the Atrociraptors and Speed Stingers behind them.
Kayla opens the cargo bay door as Claire stood by as Owen and Olivia rode through the dust cloud as the Raptors and dragons as Panthera snarled as they chased them.
"Come on!" Claire yelled.
The Fairchild C-119 speeds across the runway with Owen and Oliva, and the Atrociraptors and Speed Stingers behind it.
Kayla looked ahead and saw they were running out of runway as they were approaching the other end.
"HOLD ON TIGHT!" She yelled.
Owen and Olivia near the plane as Kayla pulls back the controls as the nose gear lifts off the ground. Panthera snarled as he approaches them as Olivia then kicks the Stinger in the face as it stumbled and bumps into Panthera as his jaw hits the front tire of Owen's bike and they both lost their footing and hit the ground.
Kayla pulls the controls back more as Owen and Olivia near the cargo door and quickly drove pass Claire, Jun, D'Angelo and Alex as they both grunted falling off the bikes as they hit the wall.
"Quick, close the door!" Alex yelled.
But then Ghost and the alpha Speed Stinger leaped into the plane as Ghost shrieked.
"Ahh! Don't close the door!" Alex screamed.
The alpha Speed Stinger roared at the 3 kids and then jabs his stinger at them as they dodged it. He then snarled as it cornered them.
"Hey, you!" Olivia yelled.
The dragon turns to her as Olivia grabbed hold a ceiling bar and then kicks the Stinger in the face knocking it back.
Owen then started sliding back towards them. "Oh, sh..." He grunted.
Claire quickly caught him as moved aside as the 2 bikes slide by as the alpha Stinger recovered, and then the 2 bikes hit him and Ghost as they were knocked out of the plane.
Ghost shrieks as she and the alpha Speed Stinger roared as they fell and soon hit the water.
Owen and Claire then hugged each other.
"Whoa." Jun said.
"Still got it." Kayla said.
The Fairchild C-119 Flying Boxcar flies off as it's landing gear retracts.
The group panted catching their breath from the chase.
"Man, those things were gnarly." D'Angelo said and looked at the marks on his boot. "I must've tasted like a double bacon cheeseburger to that guy."
"I think I finally saw why their called Atrociraptors and Speed Stingers." Alex said.
Owen soon got up and helped Claire up and hugged each other.
They soon climbed to the cockpit joining up with Kayla.
"Kayla Watts." She introduced herself. "You're welcome."
"Thank you." Olivia said.
"You don't like you fly for Biosyn." Owen said.
"I'm gonna take that they way you meant it and not the way it sounded." Kayla said as Owen placed a headset on. "I fly from whoever got a bag, but we'll call this one a favor." She turns to him. "Those don't work. They're broke."
Owen placed them down.
"I'll take y'all to Biosyn, but I can't promise it won't be dangerous." Kayla said.
"You're willing to risk your life for people you never met?" Owen asked.
Kayla turns to him. "You want to ask questions, or you want a ride?"
Claire finishing strapping herself turns to him.
"We'll take the ride." Owen said.
"I just hope Tom's holding up okay." Olivia said concerned.
"Don't worry, Mrs. Kullersen." Jun said. "Though Tom is incredibly stubborn sometimes, he's a lot tougher than he looks."
"Thanks, Jun." Olivia smiled. "He's lucky to have friends like you. Especially you, Jun."
Jun smiled from.
"Uh, Jun?" D'Angelo said.
Jun turns to him as he gestured to the cargo bay, and she, D'Angelo and Alex head down.
"What is it?" Jun asked.
"Um, those Speed Stingers." Alex said.
"And?" Jun inquired.
"They looked a lot like those Raptors, but, aren't they actually...?" D'Angelo said.
"Dragons." Jun said realizing that.
"How could Santos know about dragons?" Alex wondered.
"I don't even wanna know." D'Angelo said. "I mean, haven't the news been going on for weeks on end with sightings of flying creatures."
"They must be other dragons." Jun gasped.
"You don't that's why they took Tom, do you?" Alex said.
Jun uneasily sighed. "I don't know. I can't help but feel it is. I think the secret might already be out."
"Wh-What do we do then?" Alex asked.
The trio remained silent as Jun made a decision.
"Guys." Jun said.
D'Angelo and Alex turn to her.
"Maybe it's time." Jun said.
Alex and D'Angelo turn to each other.
"A-Are you sure?" D'Angelo asked. "I mean, Tom's not here to make it official."
"What's the harm in waiting a little more?" Alex asked.
"Guys, we don't have a choice." Jun said. "Mrs. Kullersen saw those Stinger dragons, I mean, you also saw those dragons at the market. "She uneasily sighed. "I don't like this as much as you do, but there's no choice now. It's likely Kayla knows about the dragons."
D'Angelo and Alex remained uneasily silent for the decision.
"No choice, is there?" D'Angelo asked.
"Tom would've wanted us to" Jun said. "We all agree?"
D'Angelo and Alex turn to each other and soon nodded.
"Okay." Jun said. "Time to break it to them."
"Hope Tom will understand when we find him." D'Angelo said.
"He will." Jun said. "Come on."
"Hey, Jun, there's something going with you and Tom, is there?" Alex asked.
"Uh... No. No." Jun said nervously laughed and turns to them. "I just... really worried." She nervously smiled as her eye twitched.
"Uh-huh." Alex replied unconvinced.
"By the way, where did you learn to punch like that?" D'Angelo asked.
"Well..." Jun said.
2 years ago, Jun was in wrestling class with another student as both had boxing gloves on.
"All right, go easy on each other." The instructor said and blew his whistle.
They then got ready as the boy was prepare to strike, but Jun swiftly beats him to it with a hard blow to the face and hits the matt.
"OH!" The entire room exclaimed.
"Oh, Jeez." Jun said. "I'm sorry. You okay?"
The boy groaned completely dazed.
"Yeah." He said shaking his head trying to regain his senses. "I'm... fine."
His eyes rolled back as he groaned and topples over.
"I... ended knocking the daylights out of him." Jun finished.
"No you did not." Alex said stunned.
"I did." Jun said.
Then Alex and D'Angelo laughed.
"Remind me not to get on your bad side." D'Angelo chuckled.
"Okay, okay." Jun said. "Come on."
They climbed back to the cockpit.
"Um... Mrs. Kullersen." Jun said.
"Yes, Jun." Olivia said turning to them.
"Um, there's something that we need to tell you." Alex said. "It's pretty much gonna shock you."
"What do you mean?" Olivia asked as Owen and Claire turn to them.
"Well, y-you see... Uh..." D'Angelo uneasily said.
"Guys, I'll tell them." Jun said and sighed. "Remember the time when Tom snuck out to the fissure the first night we came to ICARIS? Well, there was... actually a reason why."
Olivia was confused by that.

Seems like the secret isn't much of a secret anymore.
A while back, at first I didn't plan for the Lystrosaurus vs Oviraptor extended scene due to the "Off with it's head" part. But recently I shrugged, "Oh, what the heck".
I meant to say this in the last couple chapters, this story branches off from the actually timeline of Dragons: The Nine Realms. Think of something similar to that scene from Back to the Future part 2 where Doc explains to Marty of a chalk line being time, and another branching off to be an alternative timeline.
I thought having Speed Stingers since they were basically the Velociraptors of the dragon world. And likely the only dragons that could compete with Raptors.
I also felt like showing Jun bringing some 'inner Astrid'. And that wrestling match was something from Season 4 of Chicago Fire.
Meantime, with Season 4 of The Nine Realms 9 days away, I'm looking forward to it as I've seen the trailer. And with the Ice Realm, I knew that a Snow Wraith would make it's return as well as new ice dragons appearing. And that the Riders finally meet Buzzsaw, and I wonder how long before Eugene finally admits of knowing him.
And some of the new images I saw, we're finally gonna see Thunder's family as another Night Light was seen. Especially that Night Light cub, with it being mostly black, that has to be the closest to seeing another Night Fury. And there's also that adult Night Light mostly black with white edges on it's wings.
But one section of Season 4's description mentioned that ICARIS researches are coming dangerously closer to discovering the dragons the Riders are protecting. I have a feeling they may not be able to keep them secret for much longer.
And I don't know if Season 4 will finally have Tom and Jun to be a, well, you know. But this episode, Journey to the Snowcano, actually kinda sounds a little promising for it.
Last thing, the next chapter may reveal someone who, like the Riders, knew about dragons long before they did.
