I have no beta.
APOV
After Bella ranted about her egg donor, I chased Edward out of the room in order to have some girl time. Bella was still a bit stressed out, so I wanted to distract her. Girl talk is one of the best ways to distract someone.
"Is Rose coming up?" Bella asked.
"She's on her way in right now," I said just as Rose walked through the bedroom door with a huge smile on her face. Thankfully, Rose thought to bring Bella some Turkey Hill Box of Chocolates ice cream as well as some soda for her. They always say that chocolate is a cure for almost anything. I have no clue whether or not that's true, but it's what they say.
"I come bearing gifts, Bella," she said as she handed over the ice cream and a large serving spoon.
Bella practically yanked it out of her hands and quickly pulled the lid off the ice cream and dug in. The moment the ice cream hit her tongue, her eyes closed and she moaned loudly.
Rosie and I cracked up laughing. "God, Bella, it sounds like you are having the best sex ever," I joked and watched as the poor girl's face turned to beat red.
"Oh, God," she cried out while trying to smother her head with a pillow. I reached over and pulled the pillow away from her face. I couldn't help but laugh at the expression on her face.
"There's no need to feel embarrassed, Bella. We've all been there before," Rosie said trying to placate her.
"I know you mean to be helpful here, Rose, but I have never been there before," Bella mumbled as she refused to make eye contact with both myself and Rose.
"Bella, are you saying that you are a virgin?" I asked while already knowing the answer.
"My God, Alice, that's a personal question," she said a little too loudly.
Rose and I just looked at each other and said, "She's a virgin," simultaneously.
Bella grabbed her pillow and proceeded to pelt me with it. "Don't publicize it," she demanded.
Rose sat down next to me at the bottom of the bed. "Bella, sweetie, it's sort of obvious," she told her gently.
Poor Bella's eyes bugged out of her head. "Bella, relax, it's not a bad thing. In fact, there are plenty of guys out there that like it when a woman isn't skanky," I told her.
"How would you know that, Alice? You have Jasper. You don't need to worry about your reputation," she said giving me her best bitch brow.
"Bella, while it is true that I have my Jazzy, that doesn't mean that I don't know what I'm talking about. In fact, Rose and I happen to know of a particular male who loves your innocence very much," I said looking over at Rose who nodded her head in agreement.
Bella peeked out from underneath her pillow and gave me a skeptical look. "Who?" she asked, narrowing her eyes at me.
"Our beloved and equally innocent brother," Rose said.
Bella's eyes widened comically. "You're lying," she replied.
"It's the truth, Bella. We would never lie to you about something like this," I added quickly.
She put the pillow down and just stared at us in disbelief. "You two expect me to believe that Edward, also known as sex on legs, is a virgin? Come on. That's impossible. Every female at school, both teacher and student, have it bad for him. Hell, Jessica has asked him out a slew of times. I bet he gets hit on everyday," she said with a shake of her head.
"Sex on legs?" Rose asked looking over at me.
"I promised Edward that I wouldn't tell anyone. He overheard Mrs. Morgan and Mrs. Evans say that it was a shame he was underage because if he wasn't, there would be nothing stopping them from hitting on the "sex on legs," I explained quickly. I looked back over at Bella and asked, "How did you hear about it?"
"First of all, oh my God. Mrs. Morgan and Mrs. Evans are in their sixties. I can't even imagine what Edward was feeling when he heard two old ladies casually discussing hitting on him," she frowned with only a slight shudder showing her disgust.
"I'm with you there," Rose piped in with a grimace.
"Yea, yea, it was gross," I said waving off their comments. "How did you hear about it?" I asked impatiently.
"I heard about it the day you all decided to abandon me to that hoard of hormonally charged humans," she said.
"We didn't abandon you," I pouted.
"Sure ya didn't," she replied with a quirk of her brow.
"Ah, come on, Bella, you can't hold that against us. The parents wanted to have the family spend some time together," I hastily explained.
"I was joking, Alice. You can relax. I got so used to you guys in just a few days that not having you all there with me was odd," she said as she patted my hand.
"If you say so," I conceded. "So, where did you hear it?"
"I was walking to my car after school. Lauren Mallory and Jessica Stanley's moms were sitting on the hood of a car and were talking about how they would cheat on their husbands just to get a crack at Edward. Lauren's mom mentioned that Edward is known as "sex on legs" in the school office."
I exchanged glances with Rose. We were both appalled by what Bella told us. "Promise me that what you just said will never leave this room. Edward would be very upset to learn of that," I said to Bella.
"Girl, I didn't even want to tell you. I was horrified that two married women would talk about cheating on their husbands with a high school student. It's revolting," Bella insisted.
"You know what's really sad about that? Those two mothers are known for sleeping around," Rose added.
"Well, that explains what the hell happened to Lauren and Jessica. Look at what they have to live with," Bella sneered. "I have no patience with females that feel the need to sex up anything that has a dick."
"To each their own I say. I don't agree with that type of lifestyle, but I tend to be more old-fashioned than most," Rose told her. I nodded my head in agreement.
"I'm not into it either, but I completely disagree with cheating. If you are not happy or satisfied with your significant other then you need to do the right thing and end it. Renee cheated on Charlie, and I know for a fact that my dad still hasn't gotten over it."
"Aww… poor Chief Swan. He's a great guy and pretty cute with that porn 'stache of his," I said.
"Oh, hell no! You will never discuss my father and his possible attractiveness in front of me ever again. He's not a guy. He's my dad," Bella shouted as she jumped up from the bed to pace around the room. She covered her ears with her hands and began to hum to herself.
I walked up to her and pulled her hands away from her ears. "I promise I won't say anything about it again. Just come sit down," I plead.
"Fine, but if you renege, I'm making a run for it," Bella threatened. We walked back over to her bed and took a seat. Bella grabbed her ice cream and started eating it again. It had gotten a little melted, but she just drank what has melted anyway.
"So Bella, Alice and I wanted to know what you thought about our brother,' Rose asked.
"Why?" she asked not even bothering to look up from her ice cream.
"Well, we both noticed how close the two of you already are," I added while watching her for a reaction.
She was silent for a few moments and she used her spoon to dig around in the ice cream. She blew out a pent-up breath and glanced up. "I may like him a bit," she admitted.
"When you say like is it like or LIKE?" I asked putting an emphasis on the latter.
"Alice, has anyone ever told you that you are excessively nosy?" she asked.
"Often," I quickly replied with a shrug not really bothered by being nosy. "Spill."
"If you must know, I find myself drawn to him."
Rose and I grinned at each other. This was going to be easier than we both thought. "What would you say if Edward asked you out?"
"I'm not stupid, Alice. I'd jump at the possibility," she laughed. "I'm no idiot."
"That's exactly what we wanted to hear," Rose told her with a huge smile.
"Why would you want to hear that?" she asked looking back and forth between Rose and me.
"Well, we both love Edward and none of us like that he doesn't have anyone. He's always like the third wheel that never complains. Besides, we adore you and think you and Edward would be great together," I explained.
"Well, I do like him. He's funny, fun, and really sweet. Plus, he isn't a man whore which is a big deal in my book."
"Don't tell Emmett that you think Edward is fun. He'll claim that you're mental or something," Rose cautioned.
"You know, now that you mention the big lug, I noticed how quiet it is. Did he leave?" Bella asked.
"Emmett, Jasper, and Edward all went to the Jeep dealership in Port Angeles," Rose told her.
"Is Emmett going to buy another Jeep that he will eventually end up losing because Alice will outwit him in a bet?" Bella asked as she laughed at her own joke.
"Pretty much," Rose nodded with a giggle.
"Alice, I love ya, but I will never play truth or dare with the two of you. I just simply can't afford it," she said with a shake of her head. "I'm still in shock over the financial loss you inflicted on each other."
"You say that now, Bella, but I have a feeling that given some time, you will join in with our shenanigans," I said.
"Ooh… shenanigans, I love that word."
"I always considered it more of it being tomfoolery than shenanigans," Rose said.
"That's another great word that isn't often used. I've got another one. What about rascality?"
"That one's even better," Rose laughed with Bella joining in.
"Do the two of you mind?" I asked, feeling a little perturbed.
"Not at all," they replied in unison which caused them both to start laughing again.
I rolled my eyes at their antics. I wasn't really bothered at all. I was just happy that Bella fit into our family so seamlessly. "The guys are going to be gone for a while yet. How about we all go shopping in Port Angeles? We may end up bumping into the guys," I suggested.
"Ooh, that's a great plan. I need to get out of the house and get some exercise. Plus, I can never turn down a chance to go shopping," Bella said enthusiastically.
BPOV
Alice's suggestion to go shopping was exactly what I needed. As much as I love the Cullen house, I was beginning to feel couped up. Now that I was feeling so much better, I needed to go out.
I graciously allowed Alice to do my hair and makeup. The girl gets excited over the smallest things. When I looked at Rose in question, she just shrugged her shoulders and said that was just the way Alice was.
I wasn't going to complain. Alice had me looking smoking hot. She gave my hair long loose curls and did my makeup beautifully. She even managed to convince me to wear a darker lip stain than what I was used to wearing. She was right. It made my lips look fuller.
Rose and Alice always look great and didn't take that long to get themselves ready. By no time at all, we were on the road with Rosalie driving us in her BMW. The car was comfortable, and I just sat back in the backseat while the three of us joked and laughed all the way to Port Angeles.
We arrived at the outlet mall a few minutes after eleven and went directly to Angelo's Pizza. They both wanted me to grab a quick bite so that I wouldn't have to stop later on to eat. I agreed with them. Once I start shopping, I don't like to stop for anything.
After I finished my slice of pizza, we were on our way. The first store we hit was Abercrombie & Fitch. Alice made a beeline for the women's section, and Rose and I just followed along. Alice started pulling jeans off one of the racks and thrust them into my arms.
"Here," she said, "Go try these on."
I looked at the pile she gave me. "Alice, I just bought a ton of jeans."
"Bella, I was there. Ten pairs of jeans are not enough and don't amount to a ton," she tisked.
"Bella, just go with it. This is Alice. Shopping is her area of expertise. We've all learned to just keep our mouths shut and let her have her way. Trust me. You don't want her to start using her puppy dog eyes," Rose advised me.
I huffed and stomped over to the changing rooms. I love shopping as much as any normal person, but Alice seems to take it too far. It's either that or I'm just so used to having to pay for my own things that I've gotten used to being more conservative with how much I buy.
Alice had me trying on an ass-load of clothing for well over an hour. I finally had enough and called out to her. "Enough! I would like to survive this store. We have other places to be."
"Oh all right, fine, bring all the clothes that fit to the register once you've redressed," she ordered. Man, Alice is a bossy little thing.
I opened the changing room door and found Rose standing there waiting for me. "I thought you could use some help."
I just gave her the stink eye and dropped a huge pile in your arms. "Here you go."
"If it makes you feel any better, you should see the pile she bought for Edward," she said.
"You know, that helps a little. I hope she got him some jeans that showcase his ass. Edward does have a mighty fine ass," I said dreamily.
"Oh my God, Bella, how can you be so innocent and still say such things?" Rose asked in shock. We both trudged over to the nearest register that was open and dumped both our piles right on it.
"Well, Rose, I don't have to hold back with you and Alice. You two are the first real girlfriends I have ever had."
The poor woman that was ringing up the clothes looked completely exhausted by the time she totaled it all up. Alice appeared out of thin air and handed over her black card before I could even dig into my purse for my debit card.
"Alice, I could have paid for my own things," I said to her.
"Sorry, Bella, but I have a rule. Anyone I drag along with me to go shopping does not pay," Alice happily explained.
I looked over at Rose to see if Alice was being serious. She just rolled her eyes and nodded her head. "You know, Alice, you're a little dictator," I said as I turned my attention back to her.
"Yes, I am," she said proudly.
I was about to respond when Rose's cell went off. The ringtone had me laughing. It was Brittney Spear Oops I did it Again. "Is that Emmett's ringtone?" I leaned over and asked Alice.
"Yup," she said as she popped the pee.
"I can only imagine what that is in reference to," I mumbled.
"You would think a big lug like Emmett would have a manly ringtone," Alice said with a giggle. "He programmed that into Rose's cell."
"You gotta love that Emmett doesn't have a fragile masculinity. Most guys would consider that song as being too girly for their ringtone," I pointed out.
"At least the morons at school would," Alice replied.
"True, but they're morons, so they don't count," I added.
Rose finished up her call and shoved her cell back into her purse. "The guys were passing by and noticed my car in the parking lot. They want to know if we could all meet up and do something together."
"I'm all for it," I said quickly. "It would be nice to hang out more."
"I'm in as well," Alice told her.
"Good, because I told them to meet us by my car in fifteen minutes," Rose admitted with a smirk.
"Do you have any idea what they want to do?" I asked.
"Emmett mentioned playing some pool and doing karaoke at the twenty and under club that just opened up not too long ago," Rose said as we began to make our way out of the store. We were carrying several bags each. Although, I noticed that Rose and Alice were carrying more than I was.
As we neared Rose's BMW, we saw the guys standing around and laughing at Emmett's antics. Edward looked up first and made his way over to me. "Here, let me get these for you," he offered with a smile. I willingly handed over all the bags I was carrying and thanked him for his help.
"So are you ladies up to getting your asses handed to you in a game of pool?" Emmett asked as he laughed at us.
"Are we playing girls against the boys?" rose asked Emmett.
"Yea, since the teams are even now that we have Bella with us," Jasper replied, giving me a smile.
"I'm all for it," I said. I always did enjoy playing pool. I often played during the summers I spent with my dad. I managed to buy a pool table back in Phoenix. It was used at the time I purchased it but was still in great shape. I spent many hours playing pool for the past several years.
"All right, it's settled. Let's all pile into the cars and make our way over to Shooters Billiards," Edward suggested.
I was having a blast today and couldn't wait to play pool with the Cullen kids. I wasn't sure whether or not I should have said something, but I happen to be a bit of a pool shark. For now, I was going to keep that little tidbit to myself.
A/N: My family and I are still dealing with some serious issues. I wanted to get this out since I had already started it. I have no update schedule.
