Chapter2-New Friends and Allies PT1
Flora and Terra stood in the greenhouse going over various Alchemy formulas as they did they wrote some down in a journal for future use. After Flora's sacrifice during the battle the two earth fairies had decided to write down their own formulae in a book such as Flora's magic pheromone as well as that for protection against the Blood Witches which were still there along with several other's such as Zanbak which Ben Harvey had created. "Here what about this one, Terra. Look it return's the consumer to their natural selves, I guess it was supposed to be a curse breaker" Flora said pointing to a formula which had been messily scrawled across several pages. Terra read over her shoulder '…..Shadow Phoenix's dark fire created the burned ones, the dark fire also enabled him to turn faeries evil for his own uses the Iliumia Gloria Amalgam is supposed to break his hold over them. There is also a footnote but it's too faded to make out'. The clicking of heels altered the two girls that they were no longer alone in the greenhouse. 'Ladies, how wonderful to see you both here. There was something I wanted to talk to you both about' Professor Chavarria Cho said 'I heard that you both helped greatly in the recent battle and therefore I would love for you both to become my right hands. I fear that there is something coming, something we should all fear, the earth has been touched by evil and it will only grow stronger. As two of the most powerful faeries here I would like to know that you are willing to help defend this school and the otherworld". The two girls looked at the professor and nodded "We will no one messes with our home". The professor nodded and moved over to another work bench and started placing ingredients into various tube and bottles, Flora tilted her head to the greenhouse door and the two of slipped off.
'Riven, Sky is still AWOL have you any clue where he has gone since Bloom disappeared, we haven't seen him anywhere, none of the specialist have, I know the two of you are close friends has he not been in touch at all' Silva's voice cut through the brooding specialist's thoughts. The dark-haired teenager looked at his mentor 'No I haven't seen him. I only saw him briefly after the battle but he left quickly after. It's been two days he won't stay away that long.' The older specialist sighed as a silence fell between them, Sky had confided in him about his feeling for the fire fairy early on at the start of the year, the boy was like a son to him more so than he had been Andreas' and his feelings for Bloom ran deep probably deeper than his for Guinevere Griffin had done. Their silence was interrupted by a loud shout and a yell, the pair of them turned round and saw Sky looking a little worse for wear, with a group of guys that were clearly specialists but ones who didn't attend Alfea. "Sky, where have you been?" Silva's voice rang out to the group, the boy he had cared for, for so long just turned again with a group of boys.
'Silva, Riv, hey' Sky gave a sheepish smile and rubbed the back of his head as he swayed side to side 'Silva, I'm sure you remember my early training partner's, Timmy, Helia and Brandon'. Silva eyes ran over the three boys and a smile broke across his face 'Yes I remember you three, running round mud wrestling and beating each other with training swords. So what happened to Sky?' The three boys smirked at Sky then looked straight at Silva and said 'He's hungover, sir, we've spent the last two and a half days in a pub watching him trying to drown himself in drink because his girlfriend vanished through a portal'.
'Told you not tosay' grumbled Sky.
'He gave the teacher stare' Helia replied.
'Come on Sky, you need to sleep this off' Brandon said. Riven stood up to help messaging Musa to let the girls know Sky was back 'I'll show you to the dorms'. The group of five boys headed back in the direction of the school, Silva sighed as he recalled Sky's first hangover when he first went out with the same three boys, they had reappeared the next morning sporting a few bruises apparently some fight had broken out because of a misunderstanding and they had gotten involved, it was the same morning he also discovery that a bottle of his favourite whiskey had vanished. His punishment on the four boys was an immediate training session which with a bit of foresight was not the best idea as Timmy, Helia and Sky threw up part way through. Brandon, it seemed had not drunk as much as the others had but he was still woozy. Life had been so much easier back then. Everything seemed black and white.

'Bloom, Bloom, can you hear me, wake up your safe' a soft voice broke through Bloom's unconsciousness. I'm dreaming, I'm going to wake up in Sky's arms back in Alfea. 'Sweetie wake up' the voice broke through again. She groaned as she forced open her eyes and took in her unfamiliar surroundings, she had half expected to wake up in her room with Sky but no she was now stuck in the realm of Shadow.
'Mum, is that you, I'm not dreaming am I' Bloom asked sitting up. The red headed woman smiled at her, 'oh my precious daughter it's been so long since I've seen you, you've grown so beautiful. Have you been well?" Questions flowed from the woman's lips and Bloom responded to most of them, from what her life in California had been like to the fight with the blood witches. Her mother laughed as Bloom told her of her childhood antics such as turning Mike's toothpaste blue on April Fool's day. Her mother's smile suddenly vanished and her expression darkened.
"Darling what exactly are you doing here? You have friends in the otherworld, adoptive parents who love why did you go through that portal?".
'I came for you mum, I wanted to meet you, know my true parents are. I learned from a blood witch Sebastian that you scarified yourself to seal the portal which was opened during the dominion wars. I was found after by Sebastian's father and taken to Aster Dell which was destroyed by Rosalind and her company not long after it was she who sent me to California to Mike and Vanessa.'
Her mother inhaled sharply and spun round her face set in a grim expression 'Rosalind, Rosalind Hayle, that dammnable fairy, fanatic witch. Did this Sebastian tell you who started this chain of events. Rosalind opened up that portal with a dark spell and set the Shadow Phoenix on our realm he created the first of those called burned ones. Your father and I called upon our friends and allies created an alliance to stand against him this included some of the blood witches. One in particular Guinevere Griffin helped us, her use and knowledge of dark magic allowed us to defeat him and send him back through the portal but it could only be sealed from the shadow realm I couldn't let your father do it it needed a fairy's magic so I did. I had to there was too much at stake….' Bloom listened as her mother told her everything which had happened all those years ago. '….As for you father and your sister I don't know what happened to them'. Bloom's mouth dropped open she had a sister and Rosalind had been behind everything from the start.

A black SUV pulled up outside the home known as cloud tower, wrought iorn gates opened allowing the car to enter. Beatrix climbed out from the driver's side and shuddered at the temperature it was beyond freezing, but she didn't complain she'd rather be cold and alive than dead. The hope of reuniting with her family after 17 years sent her stomach into butterflies. 'Who are you that come's here' a frosty voice cut through the air the temperature lowering by several degrees. 'Indeed, who are you? Seems like we have a trespasser sister' said another as the light was sucked out sending Beatrix into darkness. 'I am your long lost sister' Beatrix replied as lighting cracked between her fingers. 'Sister you say, imposter I say our sister died' hissed the first.
'Dead as a doorknob' cackled the second 'what's the matter no come back cat got your tongue' Beatrix's eyes glowed as she tapped into her enhanced powers lightning raged in a sweeping arc, stunning the voices. The light returned and the temperature rose ever so slightly 'oh it's nice to finally see you Isobel and Darcy' she responded. The other two smirked this girl really was their sister only a true dark fairy would have no hesitation in retaliating 'welcome back to cloud tower dear sister' said Isobel a thin smile appearing.
'Oh and look she had a guest with her' added Darcy. DUH DUH DUH DRUM ROLL
