Page XII: Other Road
Gus seems to be training near the Oak Tree, CMO simply watches Gus practice his magic until taking a break.
CMO gives Gus a bottle and says. "Glad you came, ready to play some video games?"
"Never play these video games of yours...sure," Gus said seeing CMO alarmed come on. "What's wrong?"
"Someone coming in East," CMO said
Gus turns to see bushes rustling until someone comes out, it was Luz. "Luz?"
"Hi, Gus, I come here to ask you a huge favor..." Luz said
"Sure everything," Gus said with a smile.
Luz spoke quickly yet nervously look. "Can I borrow your Enchiridion?"
Gus looks at his bag and sees his book, he turns to Luz with an uneasy look. "I don't know Luz...last time you were in it was a big challenge."
"Come on, I owe you one...please," Luz said making puppy dog eyes.
Gus only sigh in defeat, he grabbed his book and give it to Luz. "Here, be sure to be safe okay...I will be out in the forest playing inside the Oak Tree."
"Sure, I am sure to protect it at all costs," Luz said hugging the book.
Luz begins to walk away, as Gus looks at his hand he breathes and focuses on his illusion once again.
Gus simply walks through the town getting some stuff for tonight, he simply gets snacks. "You alright CMO?"
CMO pop out of the sachel. "I'm alright. Long time to see the town, really change."
"Then, what you wanna go?" Gus asked
"Hmm, how is that place," CMO answered
Gus sees a certain sight. "A book fair, wait...so that means..." He walked through the fair, until spots a certain person. "Katya!"
Katya who wears a black shirt shows her stomach, a blue skirt with a brown belt, and black heels. "Hey, G-man, how are you doing?"
"Getting some snacks for little game night," Gus answered looking at the books. "How're your sales?"
"Pretty well, twenty copies sold of the newest book I made... it's a secret," Katya said as she look surprised. "Get behind this stand!"
"Wha?" Gus said gets pulled in, and three of them have to see someone coming to a stand. "Ms. Clawthorne?"
Indeed it was Lilith, who was wearing her usual coven cloak but in a different outfit. She wore a sleeveless black button-pop collar dress where it leaves a line that split to show her bare legs and black knee-high boots.
"The uh, outfit makes you look good, Head Lilith." Steve, her coven scout, comments.
"Thank you, Steve," Lilith told him while stopping by the stand.
"Head Witch Lilith, what do I owe the pleasure to see you?" the ferret demon asked.
"I've required information about the Flower of Eternal Youth." Lilith told him, "I hear the gangster Canipichu, is looking for it to sell to the black market.
"Why yes, he stop today to find it and sell it." The ferret demon said pulling out a map. "And I give you this just for your payment."
Lilith looks at the map, which is glowing with a blue light when she opens it. "Aw, nice..."
"But ma'am, should we hunt the Owl Lady, joining our coven, the motto?" Steven said
"Eda is simply old age lately, she probably drinking Apple Blood at home. With the Youth, I can please the Emperor." Lilith said
Steve hits some books. "Yeah, All hail the Emperor!'
Lilith pat Steve's head. "Very good Steve." Walked off.
"Shoulder pads for Steve," Steve said to following Lilith.
"Well guess it's over now, time get me some food-" Gus responds about walking.
Katya only grabbed Gus's head and make him turn back to the scene. "Hold it."
Eda came out of hiding, and look at the ferret demon. "Yo nerd, what you give to my sister?"
Seeing Eda requiring the same map, Gus and Katya look in deadpan.
"We're gonna have to help her, are we?" Gus asks.
"Yup," Katya replied deadpan.
Luz sitting on the couch, while looking at the book she borrows. "The book of Enchiridion," she glares at the point of it. "Alright you mind inside the book, you help me become friends with Amity...now you need to help me help Eda with her curse, so send me away!" Opening up the book.
King appears and jumped on Luz's shoulders. "Hey, Luz, ready to make the story?'
Luz shocked. "Wait, King!"
Too late, both Luz and King's eyes see the Enchiridion, as they passed out on the couch. Just then Eda came in with her cape, putting on the hood.
"Now listen to you two, I'm about to leave for tonight...don't-" Eda said stopping seeing them; King laying on Luz's lap while her head was down thinking sleep. 'Aw...kids.'
Eda makes a circle and makes a blanket float to the kids, covering them. She walked out leaving them to have their little adventure on their own.
"AAAAAAAAHHH!"
Both Luz and King end up in a strange realm. This time they're on a boat in an illustrated sea.
"Where are we?" King asks.
"We're in the book, and apparently you got dragged in with me," Luz said as she looks around. "And we're in the middle of the sea."
"Weh?!" King questions looking around to see the endless sea. "Oh no...it's can't be happening!"
"Well least it's a perfect sunny day," Luz started looking at the sky.
"AHHHHHHH! Take us back, Luz!" King screams running all over the boat.
"It does not work like that King, the book brings us here to know a lesson, new spells, or learn about ourselves," Luz said grabbing a paddle.
King look at Luz who's paddling. "Why are you even here in the first place, this is so crazy!"
"Eda's curse is getting worse even drinking her exiler, this book might help find something to help Eda," Luz answered focusing on mowing the boat.
"Fine, one more question...what is the water doing?" King questions in fear, seeing the sea forming.
"Might be the quote might help us," Luz said stopping to see the quote.
'The easiest way isn't always a good path.'
'Sometimes, hope is the best cure.'
"What does that mean?" King asks Luz.
"Maybe it's a clue about what to do to get out of here," Luz said feeling an earthquake.
The sea gets spilt open as a floor, the surface appears making a big wall. Luz and King see two ways right in front of them, one with a slow flow and the other having rocks and waves moving up and down as hears splashing sounds.
"I think we should pick," King said looking at the paths.
"We should this way..." Luz said rowing down the path of easy."
King sees the paths beginning to change, and goes inside a tunnel. "Luz..."
"Don't freak out, it happens when picking a choice either be good or-" Luz said
They made it out only seeing a path that goes up, down, sideways, having rock sharp spikes, even having a loop de loop. But their first one...a gigantic waterslide.
"Our lesson is not taking any shortcuts?" King asked
"Yeah..." Luz said as they went down.
"I HATE THIS BOOOOK!" King screams as they fall.
Eda walks through the forest wearing her cloak, underneath is a crimson dress with a diamond open window, silk open shows her legs, having on black stockings, and red long heels.
"Ah looking good when getting a hand on that flower," Eda said
She then heard rustling, she quickly hides, hearing grumbling noises means it was close by. She created a fire sword and an ice dagger, she came out while screaming.
"ARGHHHH!" Eda shouts
The voice happens to Lilith whose hair got few leaves, she turns and screams in fear. "AHHHHHH!"
Eda stops in his track. "Lily?"
Lilith stops and little glares. "Edalyn, should know you always attack first and think later..should have gone to bed now?"
"Sorry sister, I'm stronger than you think...I am here to save Flower of Eternal Youth from the likes of you." Eda said running ahead of Lilith and shouting. "I'm gonna get there before you~"
"Ah! No, you won't!" Lilith shouts and runs after her.
Unaware of both of them, they are being watched in the sky by Gus who riding on his disc while Katya is at the back holding on to him.
"Wow, even adults...they act like kids," Katya chuckled
"Yeah, wearing different clothing...even you, why are you wearing that tonight?" Gus asked looking at Katya.
Katya is shown wearing a red midriff shirt with red short-shorts, black stockings and red boots.
"Just thought looking stealthy tonight," Katya replied.
"Is that stealthy?" Gus asks her.
"Just don't worry about it much," Katya told him. "Let's follow Eda before she gets herself into trouble again."
"Right..." Gus said as he flies down, keep up the two runnings.
Back to Luz and King who boat a bit of damage, while the wet and one of them is looking green.
"No wonder my mom doesn't get on the SeaWorld rollercoaster," Luz said holding her mouth.
"Okay, we made it... can't this get any worst," King said to stop his mouth. "I just have to say it."
The sea begins to twirl, around and around, causing a big vortex until Luz shouts.
"WHIRLPOOL!" Luz shouts trying to paddle away.
Eda and Lilith run through the woods, fast as they compete to get to the Flower of Eternal Youth.
"Heh, just like running to the kitchen," Eda shouts
Eda didn't hear Lilith's response, turning around to look for her, "Lily? Where'd you go?" she asked, only for a blur to swoop in to grab her to the bushes.
Gus and Katya had witnessed this, "This is bad." Gus said.
"Come on, we gotta find them," Katya told him while they travel around the area.
"Oh...what happened?"
Eda opens her eyes, finding herself somewhere secluded. She was in chains and saw her sister as well.
She not wearing her cloak anymore, her button losing up shows her cleavage, and her boots are off showing only stockings. She looks at herself, not wearing her cloak and stocking show.
"You know this means..." Lilith said deadpan.
"Oh dang it..." Eda said sees someone coming out of the shadow and happens to be the ferret demon. "You!"
"Yes, I simply brought you here just get captured," the ferret demon said
"But the Flower of Eternal Youth?" Lilith's question makes the ferret demon laugh.
"That flower is long gone, only get the boss here to please." Ferret demon as step side. "Huh, boss?"
Stepping out is a large, black wolf biped, with bones sticking out of his chest, arms, and bone claws. His hindlegs have talons, and his tail is that of a snake.
"Well, if it isn't the Head Witch Lilith, and the Owl Lady Edalyn." the wolf demon spoke.
"Canipichu." Lilith narrows her eyes, "I should've known you'd be involved."
"Where's the flower of Eternal Youth like I was promised?" Eda asked.
"Don't you get it? There is no Flower of Eternal Youth!" the weasel mocks "This was all a setup so the Canipichu can capture Lilith for information on the Emperor's Coven! But then you came along and we thought, what's one Clawthorne sister to have with another!"
"Who with it thought capture two Clawthornes, in one night..." Canipchu said
"One of the information and one can give me powerful magic." The weasel said
"What now you fools?" Lilith question
"Now I'll just have lunch." Canipichu declared.
"Yes! We shall feast upon their flesh-"
CHOMP
Eda and Lilith witnessed the weasel getting his head bitten off by Canipichu, much to their horror. He turns to them "What? I was hungry and he was close to food."
"I'd say I'm disturbed, but I did eat a puppeteer once." Eda comments.
"He was served-" Lilith said interrupted by Canipichu's laugh.
"SERVED?! I have loads of minions who are better than him...hell, I can eat ones who finished the job, there's one who foolish replace to get some money in their lives." Canipichu states
"Wow, and I thought to join in ones who got problems." Eda states
"Now...for your knowledge and your magic..." Canpichu said snapping his fingers that green magic.
Suddenly loads of vines came out of the ground through Eda and Lilith's bodies; their smooths legs, thighs, waist, between their bosoms. For Eda flowers popped out of the vines and sucked on Eda's skin, Lilith got vines wrapped around her head and glowing in light blue.
"Whhhhaaatttt~~" Eda moans seeing her magic (orange) sucking out.
"HeeeeelllPPP!" Lilith said getting drowsy.
Canipichu looks at them down. "Your magic's useless with these suckers draining your magic down." he said with a grin, going up to grab Eda's leg up, rubbing it "Such smooth, tell me how you get such power?"
"Like I'm telling you, creep!" Eda shouts as she felt him tickling up her foot "Cuhuhuhuhut thahahahaahhaahat ohohohohohoout!"
"Leave her alllooone." Lilith said drowsily, struggling to get out from the vines, feeling drained. She is grabbed by her bare leg and is hanging upside down, Canipichu licks his chomps.
"Lovely," he said as he gives Lilith's foot a lick, causing it to flinch from his tongue licking her sole.
"Ehehehehehehehehehewwwwwww!" Lilith shouts shaking her head furiously.
'Gosh like we can't control our magic wrapped around this magic.' Eda thought clicking her teeth.
Outside of the entrance, Katya sees the whole thing making her face disgusted, meanwhile, Gus was behind her with a confused look.
"What's going on in there?" Gus whispered who can't see her.
"Nothing but I got a plan to get them out." Katya told him "Can you make an illusion duplicate of me?"
Back inside, Canipichu kept licking up Lilith's foot while tickling Eda's foot under his arm. His tongue slobbers around Lilith's bare toes and soles while he racks Eda's foot up and down making both twitches.
"AHAHAHAHAHAHAH!" Lilith laughs while shaking her head in reaction while feeling his tongue licking down her leg.
"Stahahahay ahahahaway from heheheher!" Eda shouts while feeling him tickling up her leg.
"I simply started to have fun, no one possible..." Canipichu said hearing a door crack. "Who dares interrupt my-"
He stops to see a leg come out between the doors, showing a black stocking and red boot. Does s little kicking to please the man.
Canipchu makes a howl. "What a leg..."
Canipchu panting like a dog, he walking toward the door, unaware coming out of the hole is Katya who pulling out a dagger...going towards Eda and Lilith. Canpichu holds the leg, makes a sniff then licks the thigh making the leg winch, he slowly takes off the boot, scratching the feet.
"Tickle, tickle," he said while the foot twitched.
Katya uses the dagger to cut the vines from Eda and then Lilith. Both witches got up, and Eda turns to her giving her a thumbs up. She turns to Lilith who gave her a nod and a smirk, both summon their staffs.
Canipichu was busily distracted by the leg, it disappeared from view "What the-!? What happened to the-?" but then he is blasted out of the cave by Eda and Lilith's magic.
Eda gets a smirk, she did stretch and spoke. "Oh yeah, gonna enjoy this."
"Me too," Lilith said they fly out of the place.
Katya gets excited and wanna see the action. "Come on Gus, grabbed their boots and hurry up!"
Gus running in sees the boots and grabbed them. "Coming-Ouch!" He tripped a big rock making it fall. "Stupid rock..." He sees something glow...light blue. "Huh?"
Luz holding onto the rock tried to not let them suck in the whirlpool while King held onto the side.
"We gonna die!" King screaming
"There's has been the way..." Luz said then remember the lesson. "Of course,"
King sees Luz letting go. "What are you doing?"
"Trust me..." Luz said going inside the whirlpool.
They go inside, in the blink second. they spit to the sky and the exit.
Back in the place, Eda and Lilith standing in front of a very injured Canipchu who has missing teeth, bloody snot, and black eyes.
"Ah remember when beat that punk took your glasses," Eda said
"Kick them in the must until they cried," Lilith said
Katya sees this and shivers. 'So cool...hope is like them.'
"Hey, guys!"
They see Gus coming in with their boots and strange blue liquid.
"Gus, what is that?" Katya asked
"Find this in the ground, maybe worth-WHOA!" Gus said sees the hole, making the strange liquid spill on Eda and Lilith. "I'm sorry! Please don't kill me!"
"Relax, you just covered us in...tree sap," Lilith said while Eda looks at the sap.
"Actually, this sap is...yeah, it's regular sap," Eda replied while turning to Gus as she whispers to him. "This sap can be a good use for one of my potions sales. I owe you one, Goose."
"Um, thanks, Eda," Gus replied while Lilith uses her magic to bind Canipichu.
"Well, since my mission was a failure, but at least I got one criminal to bring in." Lilith said as she turns to Eda "Edalyn...I know that we've had our differences, but I just want to let you know that...I want you to come to the Emperor's Coven on your own. I don't want to force you this time, just...come on your own terms. The Emperor can help you cure your curse."
Eda was surprised when Lilith says that, as well as Gus and Katya. Eda simply snorts "Ah forget it, I don't need to end up owing the Emperor something. If I need to find a cure, it'd be under my terms. But...it's nice of you to say that, Lily. Thanks."
Lilith smiled, "No problem, it's nice talking to you again." Lilith said as she exits out with her prisoner.
"So does this mean she's gonna stop pursuing you?" Gus asks.
"I doubt it, but hey it's how things are." Eda replied, "Too bad for the Flower of Eternal Youth being a dud."
"Eh, you don't need that to look youthful. You already look foxy as it is." Katya comments.
"Yeah, yer right. I don't need validations to look beautiful. Besides, I don't need some flowers to look beautiful, because I already am." Eda declared "Now let's get you kiddos home."
"Thanks..." Gus said as he make a yawn. "Cause I tired out to fly on my own."
"Don't worry little guy, I got you," Katya said as she hold onto Gus who taking a nap. "Aw...he little cute when he sleeps."
Eda laughs a little. "Yeah, Goose is a little touche kid."
Luz and King finally see the exit; an island both of them smiled when goes out of the boat and walked inside. Both awake from their slumber, seeing them back in the Owl House.
"That one adventure that was so crazy," King said closing the book.
Luz looks down. "I learn something that can create some way to help Eda...just need to support her."
"Yeah, it could be a long time to find a cure, we can't just rush it." King states, "Cause there are no shortcuts."
Entering the home, Eda shows up "Hey, glad to be back home. How was your day?"
"Just tired..." Luz yawns.
"Yeah, you wouldn't believe the day we had," King replied.
"Well, goodnight. I'll sleep on the couch tonight." Eda said as she kicks her heels and fell onto the couch.
"Goodnight Eda/Night Eda." Luz and King replied as they exit out of the room to sleep, with Luz holding the Enchiridian.
Eda lay down, on the couch, she took out a tree sap, with a smile. 'You a key making the potion ten times stronger.'
In the realm, Cole appears he sees his student trying to make a full blast at a large boulder but only sends the boy away.
Cole goes to him deadpan. "What are you doing?"
Gus got up, and look at him. "Trying to make move full blast, tomorrow will be last for showing Principle Bump what I can do...but sees my skills, what can I do Gata...Cole?"
The shadowy figure named Gata looks at the summoner. "You know what to do."
Cole crosses his arms and thinks. "Maybe it is time to teach you another level..."
Gus alarmed. "Y-You mean..."
Cole smiled at him. "Yes kid, a little hardcore training."
The Knee, where icy snowy place above Bolin Isles...where all the ice monsters are simply down while one is standing barely...it roared as charge at someone in the lake.
"Sit."
A big ice shard slammed the monster to the ground, making the whimper. The one who talked is in the middle of the lake on an ice throne; is s female who is a height similar to Emira, beautiful and slender with long, light white hair and blue eyes. She wore a finely-tailored icy blue ladies' suit with a matching skirt, with short heels.
She stands up and begins to walk while shaking her hips. While walking, she made an ice path with each step she takes toward the monster...simply place her hand on her forehead, and make a pat.
"Good boy, now you know how behaves...this my Ice Kingdom!" She shouts with a smirk.
