It was just a normal day for Marshal as he was walking back home from the elite four after beating his first challenger after a few weeks without having one. All of a sudden as he passed by an alleyway he heard such an unusual sound, someone was crying. He decided to go check it out to see if anyone was hurt. Marshal walked over to where he heard the crying and saw the familiar figure of the dark type elite four member Grimsley. He had never expected the normally cocky trainer with his high and mighty attitude to ever show such emotion, even if no one could actually see him. Marshal was standing directly in front of the other man and cleared his throat to get his attention. "Ah, Marshal it's you. What are you doing here?" Grimsley looked nervous as he tried to back away as far as he could, rubbing the tears off his face and sniffling slightly. "Of course it's me, who else would be walking outside at this time of day? The real question is what are you doing here?" Marshal asked in a gruff tone and made a slight gesture at the alleyway they were in. "N-nothing," Grimsley stuttered as he got up and tried to walk away before his wrist was grabbed lightly by the larger man. Grimsley pulled away from Marshal and had a look of absolute terror as he clutched the same wrist that was grabbed. "Don't touch me!" Marshal was shocked to see the look of fear on Grimsley's face and backed away slightly, afraid that he might have hurt the lighter skinned man.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you." Marshal backed away in some attempt to comfort his co-worker as he watched Grimsley rub his wrist gently, showing obvious signs of discomfort. "Do you need somewhere to stay for the night, or are you going home now?" "I-I don't have anywhere to stay tonight, I didn't have enough time to find a motel." Marshal's eyebrow rose in confusion at the sound of Grimsley saying that he was trying to be staying at a motel instead of actually having somewhere to live outside of going to the elite four arena. "Well, do you want to spend the night at my place?" It took a moment for the Grimsley to register what Marshal had asked him before he looked up at the much more muscular man. "S-sure, I would like that a lot. Thank you Marshal."

Marshal smiled at the thought of the slightly smaller man spending the night at his place as he lead the way down the street with Grimsley following close behind. By the time the two men had arrived at Marshal's small but nice enough house Grimsley had stopped crying and just calmly waited for Marshal to unlock the door. Marshal opened the door and let Grimsley step in first as he closed the door behind them and took off his shoes like the other man was already doing. "Your house looks very cozy Marshal. I didn't expect something like this would be where a big tough guy like you to live in." "Well thank you Grimsley, but we really aren't here for conversation. Why were you crying next to that dumpster?" "I wasn't crying, Marshal." Grimsley was starting to get annoyed at how persistent his friend was about his crying. "Bullshit! I saw and heard you crying your eyes out in that alleyway, so either you tell me what has gotten you that bothered or you can find somewhere else to stay!" Marshal didn't notice how he had moved to stand in front of the smaller man until he saw the tears at the corners of Grimsley's eyes again when he stopped yelling. "Fine! If you want to hear what happened to me so badly I'll tell you! I got raped, you happy?!" Marshal's eyes visibly widened at what Grimsley told him and immediately shut up after that. "That's right, I got fucked in the ass by big Mr. Nice guy Alder, and I had to deal with the trauma of being forced on the floor on my own battlefield after I had just lost another match against some stupid brat."

"Grimsley...why didn't you tell anyone?" "Oh, and risk having all of Unova know that I'm so weak and pathetic that I couldn't even stop the champion from assaulting me? Yeah sure, why don't I just scream it from the rooftops?!" Grimsley was visibly starting to have trouble breathing and Marshal only did what he thought would help, he pulled his friend in for a tight hug to stop the panic from rising. It took a little bit, but soon enough Grimsley hugged back and took comfort in the hug as his breathing settled back to normal. "That old prick is gonna get it one way or another if I get my hands on him, I can promise you that. No one is allowed to hurt you and get away with it." Grimsley looked up in confusion as he tried to pull away but couldn't as he felt Marshal's grip tighten slightly on his upper arms and locked his gaze with him. "Grimsley, I love you. I've always loved you and now I want to show you that you are so much more than you think and are anything but weak or pathetic." "Marshal..." Grimsley grabbed both sides of Marshal's face and pulled him in for a breathtakingly passionate kiss. "I love you too, make me yours tonight and let me forget about that douchebag until tomorrow." With that Marshal tugged the smaller man forwards so they fell on the sofa with Grimsley lying underneath Marshal and boy was he in for the time of his life.
