Chapter 14

After the other 7 wake up from their deaths, they all groan a little. "Where are we... what's going on here..." Marco mutters.

"I feel like I just had a long dream..." Sasha mutters as she notices Marco. "Marco? Is that you?"

"Sasha?" Both of them share a hug.

Petra notices Erwin and says, "Commander Erwin! Are you okay?"

Erwin mutters, "I don't...understand..."

Colt asks, "Hey, did any of you know what is going on here? What happened to the war?"

"War? What are you talking about?" Frieda asks.

"I see all of you are awake..." The seven of them turn around to see Eren sitting in front of them. Sasha asks, "Eren? Is that you?"

"Eren? You mean this is Eren Yeager? That Eren?" Petra asks.

"Yeager?" Fay asks in surprise, "That's also my last name..."

"Guys, calm down. I know you have some questions, and I'm willing to answer all." Eren says.

"You've better, murderer..." Colt glares at him.

"Murderer? You mean Eren?" Macro asks with confusion.

Sasha says, "Don't, Marco. We are not the same people that you used to know."

Erwin asks, "Eren, I'll ask the first question, are we dead?"

"You were dead, and so am I. However, we're given the second chance... as Titan shifters..."

"Titan shifters? We are Titan shifters?" Frieda asks.

"Even me as well?" Sasha asks.

"What is a Titan Shifter?" Fay asks.

Eren says, "A Titan Shifter is a person who can turn into a Titan. There used to be 9 of them. The Founder, the Armored, the Attack, the Beast, the Cart, the Colossal, the Female, the Jaws, and the War Hammer Titan. Each of them has different powers."

"So what year is today?" Petra asks, "How long have we been out?"

Eren says, "Today is the year 854, a month after the Rumbling."

Just then Colt grabs his shirt and says, "You bastard... you did the Rumbling, didn't you?"

"What is the Rumbling?" Marco asks Sasha, who replies, "The Rumbling was a cataclysmic event involving the Wall Titans marching across the earth, destroying all life upon it."

Erwin says, "Is that so? Does that mean you killed the rest of humanity outside of the walls? Eren?"

Eren closes his eyes and says, "80% of the population outside of Paradis has been destroyed. I did the Rumbling because I wanted to end the Titans and the Hatred directed to Paradis."

"But it sounds so wrong..." Petra says.

Colt says, "Tell me, is Falco safe? Is my family safe?"

"Don't worry, they are safe." Eren says, "Your family escaped the Rumbling. The Rumbling only reached Fort Salva until Captain Levi killed the Beast Titan and stopped it."

"So Captain Levi is still alive?" Petra asks with hope in her eyes.

"Yes. He's still alive, as an Ackermann, he is not going to die that easily." Eren says.

"Ackermann? Is he related to Kenny Ackermann?" Frieda asks.

"Kenny is Levi's uncle, but I'm sorry, he's dead." Eren says.

Sasha asks, "What about Connie, Jean, Armin, and Mikasa? Are they fine?"

"All of them are fine. I was killed by Mikasa." Eren closes his eyes.

"What? Why would you let her do that to you?" Marco asks, "Weren't you supposed to be inseparable?"

"Believe me, I hate doing the Rumbling as much as you do. That's why I wanted her to kill me so the Titan powers would end. That's what I thought, but I can assure you, the 8 of us are the last Titans in the world." Eren says.

"That doesn't sound promising..." Erwin mutters.

"Hey, you said you're Eren Yeager, right?" Fay asks, "Since my name is Yeager, what are you to me?"

Eren says, "You're my aunt, my father's name is Grisha."

Fay widens her eyes and mutters, "Brother Grisha...Is he still alive?"

Eren shakes his head with a frown, "No, my father was the Attack Titan and he killed himself so the powers would pass on to me."

"Grisha Yeager..." Frieda says, "You said that he's your father?"

"I know... I'm really sorry that he killed you and stole the powers of the Founding Titan inside you..." Eren says.

"You don't need to apologize. If it wasn't for him, I would be suffering from the vow of renouncing war... it took over my consciousness like I'm some sort of slave." Frieda says.

"I guess I should explain from the beginning." Eren says as they decide to listen. "First of all, Marco, you remembered how you were dead?"

Marco nods and says, "When I heard you are able to transform, I was thinking if the Colossal was a human like you... and that's when Reiner grabbed me and have Annie take my ODM gear away..."

Sasha says with anger, "So they really are the ones who killed you..."

Eren turns to Petra. "Petra, you were killed by Annie as the Female Titan... it was not just you, Oluo, Gunther, and Eld were also killed by her."

Petra mutters, "At least the Captain is safe... though I couldn't believe we were useless against her..."

"Commander Erwin, from what I've heard from Floch, you led the rest of the new scouts for a suicide charge so that Captain Levi could attack the Beast Titan..." Eren says. "However, all but Floch were killed during the charge, and Captain Levi used up the Titan Syringe to save Armin."

Erwin sighs, "I see... if he thinks that Armin is the best choice, then so be it."

Eren turns to Sasha. "Sasha, you were killed by Gabi, while we were retreating from the attack of Liberio, Gabi and Falco snuck onto our ship and you were killed because she fired the gun at your chest."

Sasha says, "I see..."

"And Colt, right? You were killed when Zeke used the scream to transform Falco into a pure Titan." Eren says, "Just after his transformation, Porco Galliard decides to sacrifice himself so that Falco can return to normal."

"So Galliard was dead for Falco... I'm glad..." Colt says.

"And finally, Aunt Fay... telling this to someone who was younger than me was weird..." Eren mutters.

"You can just call me Fay... it's fine. But can I call you my brother?" Fay asks.

Eren widens his eyes and he says, "Of course, you can. Did you remember how you were killed?"

Fay says, "When that officer tried to bring me back to the Interment Zone, he ordered his dogs to bite me and eat me... I thought he was going to let me go after my brother took the beating..."

Colt widens his eyes, "So you're also from Marley? But what do you mean an officer killed you?"

Eren says, "My father brought Fay outside the Interment Zone without a pass so that they could see the blimp. However, they were spotted by two officers. My Dad took the beating by the officer for Fay, but those officers broke the promise to get Fay home safely and killed her. Just because we're devils..."

Everyone could only feel sorry for the girl, and Eren says, "Anyway, Paradis Island is not the same Paradis you've known. Maybe for Sasha because she was killed recently. And since the world now believes the Titans are gone, our presence will cause danger to others. That's why I've managed to find the houses here so we can stay for the time being."

"So we couldn't even see our parents?" Sasha asks with a frown.

"You could see them, but you can't show up in front of them...people believed we're dead, it will cause a lot of trouble for us if we just show up. I know for sure not everyone is smart enough to hear your reasons for still being alive."

"I trust your judgment, Eren." Erwin says, "If this is what you believe was right, then we'll follow."

"Commander?" Petra asks with a sigh. "I guess you're right about that..."

Marco says, "By the way, what do you mean the island is not the same as before? Could you tell us about it?"

Eren says, "Marco. I believed that when you graduated, you wanted to be in the Military Police to serve the King, right? But the king turned out to be a fraud set up by Rod Reiss..."

"My father..." Frieda mutters with a frown.

"Wait, you mean the king was fake?" Petra asks Erwin, who nods. "I asked help from Pyxis and Premier Zackly to do a revolution, and with Nile's help, we manage to overthrow the government."

"If that's the case, who is the ruler right now?" Marco asks.

"That will be Queen Historia." Sasha says.

"Historia..." Frieda widens her eyes. "She's the Queen?"

"Who is Historia?" Petra asks.

"You might have known her as Christa Lenz." Eren says.

"Wait, are you talking about Christa?" Marco asks. "I mean, sure, she is really caring, but the Queen? That was surprising."

"I know." Sasha says.

"So now that we're done, I should tell you guys how you're still alive." Eren says. "As the Founding Titan, we can go to a place known as the Paths. The Founder Ymir, or Krista in the books that we've read, was the one who granted the wishes of the Founding Titans. However, she was a slave and she only listened to those with Royal blood. She is not a slave, and she is not a god, she is just a person with a will on her own, and I told her she doesn't need to listen to the slaver. That's the reason why she let me do the Rumbling and reviving me from death."

Eren stops a second and continues, "After she revived me, she warned me about the upcoming danger four years later, and she wanted me to pick seven other people for the seven other Titans. The Curse of Ymir is no more, so we won't die after 13 years."

"I'm glad..." Sasha says, "I was worried if we're going to die after 13 years..."

"But why do you choose me?" Colt asks. "You wouldn't want to revive an enemy on your side, right?"

Eren says, "There is no side of whose right or whose wrong. I chose you because I owed Falco a lot, besides, don't you want to see Falco again?"

"Of course I do... but..." Colt mutters.

"We're Eldians." Eren sighs. "And we're Titan shifters, we might as well get along with each other."

"So what kind of Titans we are?" Petra asks.

"Petra, you're the Female. Erwin, you're the Armored. Colt, you're the Jaws. Sasha, you're the Beast. Marco, you're the Colossal. Fay, you're the Cart. And Frieda, you're the War Hammer." Eren says. "And I'm still the Attack, but I'm no longer the Founder because when Founder Ymir was freed, she took the powers of the Founder and the Pure Titans away. Nobody will have to become Titans except us, and there won't be Pure Titans in the world again."

"But why did you make me the Beast Titan..." Sasha says, "Do I look like a monkey to you?"

"No, you're not the monkey. Instead, I made you the wolf." Eren says.

"That's better. A wolf is much like a hunter to me." Sasha says as the others laugh.

Here is a new chapter, and as you can see, everyone wakes up and Eren tells them the truth about how they're alive and how they've become Titans. I hope you like this chapter and the next chapter will be the talks to each of the person. One for each chapter.
