Chapter 17
Another day, another story time, this time Sasha is the one who starts the part of this story. Sasha says, "While Eren and the others are dealing with the Female Titan, Connie, Reiner, Bertolt, Historia, and Ymir are with the Mike Squad since we heard that there are Titans inside of Wall Rose."
"Ymir? Wasn't that the Founder's name?" Frieda asks.
"We have a friend who has the same name." Marco says. "And she has been close to Krista, no, I should say Historia."
"The Titans were coming from Connie's village and my village, so we are going to check out. It was then I met her, Kaya..." Sasha sighs. "She was forced to watch her mother being eaten by the Titan. And since all of us don't have the blades or the ODM gears..."
"You used the hatchet and the archery to fight the Titan..." Eren chuckles. "I remember you told me that."
"Well, yeah." Sasha gives a wry laugh. "I didn't kill it because of their healing abilities, but it was then we manage to find my family and quickly flee."
Petra says, "But it was really weird that you used the hatchet to fight back a Titan..."
"I agree..." Eren says, "I'm not sure what was going on back then, but Connie told us that his village was destroyed, but there isn't any human blood, and there was a Titan lying on top of his house."
Colt asks, "That means the whole village was turned into Titans."
"Yes." Eren frowns. "And Squad Leader Mike... he was killed in the same way as you, Marco. His ODM gear was taken by the Beast Titan."
Erwin closes his eyes and says, "So that's how he died...and I remember that his other squad members are killed in Utgard Castle. These Titans are different from the other Titans, they move at nighttime."
"Nighttime?" Petra gasps. "But we learned that they couldn't move at night..."
"Now that you think about it, the moon was reflecting sunlight, and maybe they made the Titans able to move." Erwin says.
"From what I've heard, during that raid, only Reiner, Bertolt, Connie, Historia, and Ymir are the survivors, but they don't have any weapons or gears to fight back." Eren says.
"To think Historia was in such a horrible situation..." Frieda frowns.
"It was then Ymir decided to reveal herself as the Jaw Titan." Eren says, which causes those who don't know to get shocked. Marco says, "You mean Ymir was also a Titan like you?"
"Ymir was actually from Marley, she got the punishment of sending to heaven." Eren says. "The reason she became normal again was that as a Pure Titan, she finds Reiner's group. She was about to eat Reiner until their other friend, I think it's called Marcel Galliard, pushes him out of the way and lets himself be eaten."
Colt says, "So that's how he died..."
"Annie and Bertolt wanted to give up the mission, but Reiner wanted to continue. He was afraid that after getting to Marley, they would be eaten and their powers would be transferred to the next Warrior candidate." Eren shakes his head.
"So it was an either do it or die situation." Erwin closes his eyes with a frown.
"I heard that when Ymir becomes a Titan, she manages to kill off a lot of Titans until we come." Sasha says. "Mostly us and the Hange Squad."
"But now that I've thought about it... how many people from Connie's village did we kill when they were Titans?" Eren asks.
Everyone frowns as if they don't have the answer to that. Fay asks, "But what about you, Brother? Where were you in this story?"
"After we managed to capture Annie, it was then we realized that there are Colossal Titans inside the wall." Eren says. "One of the Wallists, Pastor Nick, knows the truth of the walls, but he refused to say anything. But after watching all the Wall Rose refugees, he only reveals that Historia might know the truth."
"How would she know the truth?" Frieda asks, "As a Founding Titan, I wanted to protect her, which was why I have wiped out her memories..."
"You're right, Historia did mention that. It was then we know about Historia's real name, and how Christa was just an act." Eren says. "Not only about that, but we've also searched about Annie's origins and we also found out that Reiner and Bertolt were from the same place as her."
"So you tried to capture Reiner and Bertolt?" Colt asks.
"More like Reiner reveals himself to us. He just told us that he's the Armored and Bertolt's the Colossal like we're chatting." Eren says, much to their surprise. Petra asks, "Why would he reveal himself to you guys? Won't that get him in danger?"
"I've never seen Bertolt that panicked before, to be honest." Eren says. "But Reiner's mind has been messed up, he is not sure what is right or wrong anymore, he just wants to capture me and bring me back to Marley, Ymir also."
"And then you fight against Reiner while we others are fighting against Bertolt. But the fact that he continues to use steam makes us hard to attack." Sasha says.
"And before they've transformed, Mikasa could've just killed them on the spot, but she hesitated." Eren sighs, "And as a Titan, I tried to fight against him, I could handle Reiner, but I couldn't handle both Reiner and Bertolt attack together... and I was captured again..."
"Just how many times have you been captured?" Marco asks. "You got captured by Annie, and then Reiner and Bertolt?"
"There is more." Sasha sighs. "And every time we have to get him back. But this time, Commander Erwin was the one leading it, and he also brought some Military Police and Garrison to help us out."
"But are you sure it would work? I mean the Military Police has been staying indoors for who knows long and probably doesn't have any idea how to fight the Titans..." Petra asks.
"My thoughts actually." Marco adds.
"Since there's no future if Eren was captured, that's why we need as many volunteers as we can." Erwin says.
Eren sighs, "Reiner and Bertolt brought Ymir and me to this place, on top of the trees. Reiner has taken my ODM gear and my blades, and he cut all of my limbs so I couldn't transform. And Reiner... he had been completely sprouting nonsense, he was acting like he was cool with us for a second, and then somehow he became friendly towards us as he did back in the cadet corps."
"Are you serious?" Fay asks.
"Yeah... I was really angry about how he didn't care about anything. And that's why I told them that I'm going to let them suffer the worst way possible." Eren says.
"By doing so, you attacked Liberio." Colt frowns. "That attack is not just to delay our attacking time, but to your revenge, right?"
"Funny that Reiner asked me the same question before the attack." Eren says. "Most of the soldiers who come with me think so. Because of how many people have been eaten by Titans sent by Marley..."
"That might be true... We lost a lot of people because of the Titans." Petra frowns a little.
"But Ymir decides to come with Reiner and Bertolt...only because Reiner promised her that he will protect Historia." Eren says, "They also want to bring Historia to Marley."
"Absolutely not." Frieda says, "She's not going to be Marley's prisoner."
"But when Ymir told Historia about that, she was going to come with her as well." Sasha says.
"I heard that Mikasa was about to kill them as well." Eren says with a slight shiver. "But I'm glad you guys have come."
"Yeah, we confronted Bertolt and asked him if everything in the Cadet Corps was just a lie for them... but we didn't get to finish because Commander Erwin was leading the Titans towards us." Sasha says.
"Wait, really?" Fay asks.
"Are you nuts? Commander?" Petra asks. "That was a huge gamble..."
"It really was a huge gamble, Commander Erwin lost his arm during that chaos." Sasha says. "And he keeps telling us to advance and get Eren back."
"I was just simply doing my duty." Erwin says.
"But now that your hand is grown back, I know it is weird to ask, but how is it feeling?" Eren asks.
"It takes me some time to get used to it." Erwin says as he looks at the fully healed arm.
"I was actually tied behind Bertolt's back, that's when Armin decided to come up with a creepy idea." Eren says, "I still feel shivers when I heard Armin talk like that."
"How did he talk?" Marco asks. "You know what, forget what I've asked."
"He was messing Bertolt's mind by using Annie, telling about the way we tortured her and caused Bertolt to be distracted, and Commander Erwin was the one who broke through the binds and brought me back."
"You really have my respect, Commander Erwin." Frieda says. "To be able to break free from the Titans who bit your arms and then save him once you got free."
"I'm glad to hear that." Erwin says. "And since we've got Eren, there was no point for us to continue."
"But while we're retreating, Reiner was just like fuck off, I don't care anymore as he keeps throwing Titans at us. I think he wants one of the Titans to eat me so they can bring the next shifter with them back to Marley."
"All of us were seriously injured and we were surrounded." Sasha says.
"Then how did you guys get out of there?" Fay asks.
"When Mikasa and I fell to the ground, we've seen that Titan... the same one that ate my mother, my stepmother." Eren frowns. "Mikasa was injured, and I tried to transform, but I couldn't... my friend Hannes decided to fight the Titan alone, but he got eaten in the end."
"That must be worst for you..." Petra frowns.
"Even Mikasa was giving up at the end..." Eren frowns. "Now that I think about it... she was going to confess to me... but I was being too sad about Hannes' death to even realize it..."
"Eren..." The others are feeling sympathy for him.
"I didn't know what to do back then, so I decided to do the worst way possible, I punched the Titan when she tried to grab us." Eren says.
"Are you out of your mind?" Petra asks, "Do you think that would work?"
"For some reason, it worked. The pure Titans aren't focusing on us anymore, and they are now killing the titan and then heading towards Reiner and Bertolt." Eren says. "My stepmother is a Royal Blood, and as the Founding Titan, by contacting someone with the Royal Blood..."
"It can control the Pure Titans at will. That's why we were able to escape back then." Erwin says.
"So that's how you break the vow of renouncing war, just contacting a Titan with Royal Blood." Frieda says.
"Yeah, however, Ymir decides to come with them, and thus she was eaten by Porco Galliard in Marley..." Eren frowns. "Historia was still sad about it."
"I can't blame her... we don't know what Ymir was actually thinking." Sasha sighs.
And here is the Season 2 part of the memory talking, Eren is not going to do all the talking, I decide to let Sasha talk about it as well, since for most of the time Eren wasn't even present in that episode. I hope you like this chapter.
