The intro ends with Ash throwing a Poké Ball before a title that says "Loudémon" appears on screen.

The story begins with a night view of the water and a shed in the distance, then the camera pans up where it shows structure of a girl Maiden, then a voice was heard from it

Maiden's Ghost: "I'm waiting for you. Come back to me. Return to your beloved."

It turns out it was actually a short, pale boy named Bertrand that was the maiden ghost. He had a big head and short black hair and wore a white shirt, black suit with red collar, black trousers and black shoes.

Bertrand: "I'm waiting for you!" (laughs)

It then cuts to an up close shot of the boat where the boat blew it's horn

Narrator: "Since last time, Ash and his friends have been on a ferry sailing from the resort of Porta Vista to continue their Loudémon journey. Suddenly, Misty spots a landmark."

Misty: "Hey, look over there!"

Lincoln: "I think we made it!"

Ash: "Great! That must be Maiden's Peak. That's where we get off! We'll be landing soon!

Brock: "Ah, it wouldn't matter to me if I never saw land again. I just wasted another summer."

Ash: "But we had a whole summer of adventures!"

Brock: "For kids, summer means playing on the beach splashing around and having fun. But for me.. Summer means bathing suits! And girls to wear them! Ah! Now that bikini season's over! And I'll have to wait another year to meet a girl!"

Behind the boat, Team Rocket just sat there in the wooded pail.

Ronnie Anne: "We're really at the end of our rope."

James: "No room, no room service."

Jessie: "Stop whining. We don't have a cent and at least this beats swimming."

The camera shows a few of the dock and a few areas of the festival

Port Announcer: "Maiden's Peak welcomes the passengers arriving from Porta Vista! We invite you all to attend our Annual Summer's End Festival, now in progress!"

Ash: "Cool! A festival!""

Misty: "It looks like fun! Let's check it out!"

Brock: "I'll ride the Ferris wheel all alone. (Notices a girl standing at the dock) Huh! Who is that?"

The hair moves around and Brock's eyes were full of hearts

Brock: "Whoa! What a knockout!"

Crowds of people exited the boat and Brock was trampled from the crowd. Lincoln just stood in curiosity.

Lincoln: "I wonder who she is."

She shifts back into Bertrand who smirks and vanishes.

Brock: "Hey! She's gone!"

Lincoln: "I think I just saw a ghost."

Ash: "Cheer up, Brock. We're at a festival!"

Misty: "Yeah! Let's have some fun!"

The gang head towards the festival, Lincoln just looked concerned as he made one more look before joining up with the others. Meanwhile Team Rocket climbed their way onto the dock.

James: "It's a festival."

Jessie: (laughs) "People spend a lot of money at these festivals. But they never pay attention, so they drop their change all over the place."

Ronnie Anne: "Oh, I want some Cotton Candy!"

James: "Money is sweeter!"

He notices the same girl from earlier that Brock saw and his eyes became heart shaped.

James: (in awe) "Sweet!"

Jessie: (slaps James) "Snap out of it! Stop day-dreaming! That festival is waiting and I can smell money!"

Ronnie Anne: "I can smell some corn dogs already!"

He looks back and sees that the girl was gone. In the festival everyone was partying away, Misty and Ash got some lollypops but Brock was still depressed.

Brock: "She was the most beautiful girl I've ever seen!"

Ash & Misty see a shadow approaching them

Old Women: "Hey, you there!"

Brock: "Are you the…"

It showed an up close view of a women who had a white wig and a purple robe.

Brock: (screams) "You're not that beautiful."

Old Women: "Who's not beautiful?"

She takes out a magnifying glass and puts up close to Brock

Old Women: "Beware. Not of an old beauty like me but of a beautiful young women or you will meet a cruel fate!"

Brock: "That girl on the rock. I have to meet her!"

Misty: "Now I must be the most beautiful she's talking about but I'd never hurt Brock!"

Old Women: "I was talking about an elegant young women not some scrawny little blabbermouth like you!"

Misty: (offended) "Scrawny?!"

Ash: "Real scrawny."

An unamused Misty pounds Ash

Misty: "That's it! I don't have to stand around here and be insulted. Let's get out of here!"

She drags Ash and Brock with her with Lincoln trailing behind

Brock: "The beautiful women. A cruel fate. The cruelest fate would be never to see her again."

Meanwhile Team Rocket was on the floor with magnifying glasses at the festival searching for some change.

Jessie: "Nothing! There's no money anywhere at this festival!"

James: "Not a quarter, nickel, or dime! Not even a penny."

Ronnie Anne: "What kind of cheap festival is this? We gotta keep looking until we find something!"

They find a penny on the floor

James: "Ah, A penny!"

The Old Women appears behind James

Old Women: "Hold it right there."

James: "I dropped this!"

Old Women: "I've been watching you. You're up to no good. And there is no good in your future."

James: "Who? The Police? The sheriff? The FBI?"

Old Women: "I see a young and beautiful woman who will lead you to a cruel fate."

James: "I don't need a fortune teller to know that. Some women is already causing me trouble. It's a curse."

Jessie: "Who do you mean?"

Officer Jenny: (offscreen) "Good Afternoon!"

The camera pans up which shows Officer Jenny giving a salute like a soldier

Officer Jenny: "I'm with the local Police Department and I know exactly what you're all doing. (Team Rocket immediately freak out upon hearing this) I see you found some change that someone dropped. Whenever money is lost, even a penny it must be reported to the authorities. Thanks for being such an observant citizen. Now if you'll just follow me we'll file a report at the station."

James: "The Station?"

Jessie: "Oh! We don't want to get in your way so why don't you go ahead and file it without us, and keep the change. Bye!"

They run off. Somewhere in the festival, a presentation was in progress. Ash and his friends watched while Team Rocket watched from underneath the crowd

Priest: "Welcome! To celebrate the Summer's End Festival, we will now display the Shrine of the Maiden's greatest treasure. For 2,000 years, this painting has hung within the Shrine of the Maiden. Once each year, it is removed from the shrine and displayed to the public during the festival! As I unveil the painting, please gaze with reverence."

The Priest took off the cover covering the painting and revealed to be a picture of the Maiden

Jessie: "Who's that?"

Ronnie Anne: "She's cute."

James: (gasps) "It's her."

Brock: "But it can't be."

The camera shows a view of the painting and Brock and James move closer towards it thinking that's she real. James and Brock were unaware that they were next to each other as they both looked at the painting.

Brock: "She's so incredibly beautiful."

He makes his way up towards the painting

James: "She's the girl of my dreams. Don't wake me up."

As they made their way towards the painting they were pushed back by the Priest

Priest: "Stay back! The women in this painting perished over 2,000 years ago."

Brock: "2,000 years."

The camera shows the inside of the painting.

Priest: "She was in love with a brave and handsome young man but he left her and sailed away to fight in a war."

Maiden: "I'll wait for you forever. Come back to me. Farewell."

Priest: "And she did wait for a very long time hoping to see his ship on the horizon. But her true love never returned to that place again. Still she waited and waited never moving from that spot until finally her body was turned into stone (scene fades back to the present) just like the cliff upon which she stood. To this day, she waits for her love to return."

Brock: "Just tell me, where's this rock?"

Priest: "Maiden's Rock is not far from this shrine."

Ash and his friends were now at the Maiden's Rock with them on one side and Team Rocket on the other side

Brock: "So that's Maiden Rock. It's the most beautiful rock I've ever seen."

James: "I don't care if she's made of stone I'm still in love with her."

The camera cuts to a close up view of Brock.

Brock: "If she were my girlfriend I'd make sure she was never out of my sight."

Then the camera shows a close up of James.

James: "No one would ever steal her from me not even Team Rocket. I'll fight them to keep her safe."

Jessie was pulling James to avoid letting him fall

Jessie: "James, you're insane! Why would we steal a thing like that?"

Ronnie Anne: "We could steal that other thing."

Jessie: "What are you talking about, Ronnie Anne? What other thing?"

Ronnie Anne: "Loudémon are valuable, but so are works of art. Let's swipe the painting."

Jessie: "If we grab that painting, we could make a bundle."

James: "Oh, Jessie, Jessie! Before you grab it, grab hold of me!"

He was now hanging onto railing and Jessie immediately grabbed onto James only for her to be pulled down with him into the water.

Ronnie Anne: (shrugs) "Oh boy, Team Rocket is really slipping."

Later that night, Ash and Misty were about to head back to the festival

Ash: "No matter how long you wait here a rock is a rock Brock."

Misty: "Yeah, let's go back to the festival. This is boring."

Brock: "Why don't you two go back, I want to stay here a little bit longer."

Ash: "You remember where we're staying tonight, right?"

Brock: "The Loudémon center near the port. I'll make it back by curfew. Don't worry about me. I'll be okay."

Ash and Misty look concerned as they head back to town. Soon, Brock looks at the Maiden stone then the camera shows the moon which began to get covered up by the dark clouds. It was 11:00pm at the Loudémon center and Ash and Misty were now getting worried about Brock.

Misty: "I'm really getting worried. Brock still isn't back yet."

Ash sighs but soon notices the doors were closing for the night.

Ash: "Wait I'll go out and look for him!"

He tries to make his way towards the doors only to be stopped by Nurse Joy.

Nurse Joy: "Hold it! Don't you realize it's your bedtime?"

Ash: "Yes, but…"

Nurse Joy: "Staying up late is bad for your skin and it makes you irritable and it ruins your appetite. I won't allow it. Now get to bed this instant."

After the doors shut, the screen fades to black before showing a wooden Chinese house, above it Team Rocket were sleeping in their sleeping bags on top of the house. Soon, an alarm beeps which woke up Ronnie Anne.

Ronnie Anne: "What time is it? Wake up! Time to steal the painting! Wake up, you two!"

Jessie: (dreamily) "I'm on beauty sleep."

James: (dreamily) "Beautiful, I must meet you. I'm coming to you."

A strong gust of wind blows the sleeping bags and the dark fog covers the moon. Then the doors open and the Maiden ghost is seen making it's way to the exit.

Ronnie Anne: "What is that?"

She sees the ghost and freaks out, when the ghost noticed Ronnie Anne it sent waves which sent her back to sleep.

Ronnie Anne: "Must be dreaming. Back to sleep, for me I guess."

Maiden's Ghost: "My love, I'm waiting for you."

James: (wakes up) "Who said that? Who are you? (notices that the ghost is looking at her) It's you. So it really was you."

Brock just sat there on the ground looking at the Maiden Rock

Brock: "2,000 years!"

He looks behind and sees the ghost that was right behind her

Maiden's Ghost: "I've been waiting for you for such a long time."

Brock: "It's you. It's really you."

The next day, Ash and Misty went to search for Brock at the same spot where they left him.

Ash: "Brock!"

Misty: "Brock, where are you?"

Lincoln: "Come out wherever you are!"

Jessie: "James! James! If your not here, at least come out and tell us."

Ronnie Anne: "That's right."

Ash: "Hey, Brock!"

Jessie and Ash turn around and notice each other

Jessie: "Oh."

Ash: "You again."

Jessie: "Yuck."

Ash: "Double Yuck."

Jessie: "I've finally found you! (realizes) Wait a minute, your not the one I was looking for."

Ash: "Hey, are you looking for somebody, too?"

Jessie: "Prepare for Trouble. And make it double. Doing this by myself is a real drag. To Protect the world from devastation. To unite all people within our nation. To denounce the evils of truth and love."

James: "To extend our reach to the stars above."

Jessie: "Jessie?"

James: "James."

Jessie: "Team Rocket blast off at the speed of light."

James: "Surrender now..."

James bursts out of the house.

James: "...Or prepare to fight."

Jessie: "He looks awful."

Ronnie Anne: "Worse than usual!"

Brock comes out of the house too

Ash: "Brock, what happened? Pull yourself together."

Jessie: (shakes James) "What do you think you're doing?"

Old Women: "So everything turned out just as I predicted."

They look and see the Old Women standing in front of them.

Ash: "It's the Old Women!"

Old Women: "Obviously, these two have both seen the Ghost of the Maiden."

Ash, Misty, Jessie & Ronnie Anne: "Ghost of the Maiden!"

James: "I love her. I love her."

Brock: "Me too. Me too. Me too."

James and Brock hug each other in love unaware that they are both enemies.

Ash: "They're possessed! Lincoln!"

Lincoln: (his eyes turn yellow) "Alright, I'll handle this. THUNDERBOOOOOOOLT!"

He shocks James and Brock, and soon they got up from the ground

Brock: "Uh, who am I? I am Brock."

Ash: "Brock's back!"

James: "I'm James from Team Rocket."

He leaps into the air and acts like he's skating on ice

Jessie: "He's back."

Ronnie Anne: "But not to normal."

Inside the house

Old Women: "All men who pass this way fall under her spell. It's always the same story, over and over. We find them here, acting like zombies with the life sucked out of them babbling like idiots. It's the work of that Maiden's ghost still waiting for her young soldier to return. It's just as I warned you."

Brock: "So what? Who cares as long as I can be with her?"

Ash: "Oh great, He isn't cured."

Lincoln: "Maybe get Lola, she can snap him out of it!"

Ash: "Ok not a bad idea, Lola I choose you!"

Lola pops out of the Poké Ball

Lola: "You called?"

Ash: "Lola, Brock think he's in love with the Maiden who is actually a ghost."

Lola: "Gladly, but I'm more into Pageants than hearing about ghosts. Let me take care of him."

She approaches Brock. Then she slaps him multiple times in order to snap him back to reality

Lola: "All right Brock she's not real now snap out of this nonsense."

She stopped slapping him after a few seconds

Ash: "Did it work?"

Unfortunately Brock was still in love with Maiden

Lola: "Nope, I did the best I could, now if you'll excuse me I need my beauty sleep."

She touches the Poké Ball and she is sucked back into her Poké Ball. Ash picked up the Poké Ball

Ash: "Well thanks for your help Lola you go on and get some rest now."

James: "I'm scared, you've got to do something."

Old Women: "There is only one thing we can do. We have stickers."

She sticks the stickers onto James' and Brock's faces

Old Women: "These are anti-ghost stickers. However—"

Ash: "What's the catch?"

Old Women: "I can't just give these stickers away for free."

Ash collapses to the ground in shock. Ash and Misty were now outside of the house putting the stickers all over the house.

Ash: "Oh, well. If it's the only thing that'll help."

Misty: "We'll stick stickers all over the place."

The rest were doing the same thing inside the house except they started to put them all over Brock and James.

James: "This'll really work, right?"

Jessie covers James' mouth by placing a sticker on it

Jessie: "Shut your mouth."

Later that night everyone was now inside the house. Ash, Misty, Jessie and Ronnie Anne hid behind the stairwell and waited for the ghost to show up.

Jessie: "Will she come?"

Ronnie Anne: "Oh, she'll come any second now!"

Ash: "This better work."

Misty: "Let's hope."

Lincoln: "Fingers crossed that they'll snap out of it."

A strong gust of wind blows outside, as it gets stronger it blows the stickers away from the house

Old Women: "She's here!"

The doors open and the Maiden's Ghost was seen. The wind was strong that the fire was blown out

Brock: "It's you."

Maiden's Ghost: "I've been waiting for you."

Brock: "Yes and I've been waiting, too."

James: (panicking) "I'm scared! Really, really scared!"

Maiden's Ghost: "I wanted to meet you."

Brock: "And I, you."

Suddenly James and Brock float into the air heading towards the ghost.

Ash: "Brock!"

James: "But why? Why aren't the stickers working?"

Ronnie Anne: "Maybe because.."

Jessie: "We got them.."

Jessie & Ronnie Anne: "For free."

James: "Free? What do you mean free?"

Jessie: "A two for one deal. We got one set free for every set they bought. (points towards Ash and Misty) It was a total bargain."

James: "You used freebies?"

Jessie: "Oops!"

James: "I can't believe you're letting that ghost get me just because your both so cheap."

Jessie: "You don't want to go?"

James: "Of course I don't want to go. I don't want to go!"

He lets go of the railing and floats away then outside of the house, Ash and Misty grab Brock's legs while James floats towards the ghost

Ash: "Grab him!"

Misty: "Wait, Brock!"

Lincoln: "Get back here!"

Brock: "Hey, let me go!"

They pull him back and just as James was with the ghost, Jessie fires a bazooka with fire which made James fall to the ground

Jessie: "Hey girl! You can't take him. You haven't got a ghost a chance."

They see James rapidly climbing back up

James: "You really do care."

Jessie: "It's not cause of you. Girls like her disgust me. Always waiting around for her man as if she were his faithful pet. She can't stand the thought of losing him. She cries, but I'd say, See ya later! There are plenty more fish in the sea!"

Ronnie Anne: "I could sure go for some fish now that you mentioned it."

Maiden's Ghost: "I've been waiting. You cannot interfere."

She makes a strong gust of wind, then floating skulls appear from behind the bushes, Jessie and Ronnie Anne immediately ran to the others.

Misty: "What is that?"

Ash: "Not any Loudémon I know."

He takes out the Pokédex

Dexter: "No Loudémon entry found."

Ash: "They're not Loudémon?"

The floating skulls start flying around them as the Pokédex starts searching for an entry.

Dexter: "Still searching."

He moves the Pokédex to different angles to find the entry, it then picks up an entry and it was revealed to be the Maiden Ghost.

Dexter: "Loudémon entry found! Bertrand A Morticians Loudémon. He usually likes to jump scare people and read Poetry. His specialty is hypnosis."

Ash: "Bertrand? You're really a Loudémon?"

Maiden's Ghost: "So, you finally figured it out. Sometimes I'm the ghost of the 2,000 year old Maiden. (switches into the Old Women) "And sometimes, I'm the mysterious old woman. But no matter what the disguise, I'll always be.." (switches into Bertrand) "…awfully ghastly."

Ash: "Well, Bertrand, time for a battle! Lincoln!"

Lincoln: "Let's get him!"

Bertrand: "My hypnotic powers can work on other Loudémon too, including ones with white hair."

Lincoln: "Uh oh!"

And so the battle begins

Bertrand: "Distract a kid, with a pair of spiders and bats."

Lincoln runs away in fear.

Ronnie Anne: "Those stuff can't get me!"

Bertrand: "So, Ronnie Anne, you want to play games with me? (Ronnie Anne charges towards him) Here's a special game I think you'll enjoy."

Ronnie Anne was now distracted and started playing a video game

Ronnie Anne: "Oh boy, new high score here I come!"

Jessie: "Go, Carl!"

Carl: "It's go time!"

Bertrand: "The kid's natural enemy is gang of cats."

A bunch of cats surround him causing him to flee.

Carl: (screams) "Don't hurt me." (runs off)

Jessie: "Your turn."

James: "Um, uh, CJ, Poison Gas attack!"

CJ takes out a gun and squirts Poison Gas out of it

CJ: "Here's CJ!"

Unfortunately the cats surrounded him and began tackling him

Bertrand: "Smoking is prohibited."

Ash: "My turn now! Lana, I choose you!"

Lana pops out of the Poké Ball and was seen in a fighting position.

Lana: "Alright! I'll show you who's boss!"

Bertrand: "Well, now.." (turns into a fire extinguisher) "…here's something for you squirt."

Lana: (screams) "KEEP THAT THING AWAY FROM ME!"

He even attempts to throw mud at her too. After that he turns back to normal.

Bertrand: "Now who shall I defeat?"

Ash: "Lisa, Lola! Attack together!"

He throws the Poké Balls and Lola and Lisa pop out landing in front of Bertrand

Lola: "It's Princess Makeover time!"

Lisa: "It's time to take down this young looking monster!"

Bertrand: (laughs) What a nuisance! This is too easy!"

Two familiar feet pop out which was revealed Lori and Luna and they were both looking down smirking at them

Bertrand: "Here are Lola and Lisa's evolved forms, Lori and Luna. (They soon began to join together) And just for fun, I'll combine them into one super-Loudémon to make Loruna! Try that on for size!

Lola: (screams) "I CAN'T TAKE THIS ANYMORE!"

Lisa: "I suggest we retreat immediately!"

They both run away

Ash: "We lose, he's just too strong."

Misty: "Then how about this?"

Bertrand: "What's that?"

Misty: "It's a cross! I've also got garlic, a stake, and a hammer."

Bertrand: "Augh. What do I look like, a vampire or something?"

The clock begins to chime and everyone notice that something was happening to Bertrand

Ash: "Huh! What's happening?"

Bertrand: "I may not be a vampire, but I hate sunlight. (slowly begins disappear) My time has come for me to leave until the next festival. Keep in mind that the ghost of the Maiden, she and the old lady will return next year too."

He vanishes completely

Misty: "That was ghastly."

Lincoln: "Totally!"

Ash: "Right?"

James: "I'll say."

Ronnie Anne: "Hey, look! The sun!"

The sun rises up, the scene then shows the Maiden's rock where miniature boats were floating in the water. Ash was now by the water with Misty and Nurse Joy while Brock stood above with Officer Jenny.

Officer Jenny: "At the end of each summer, the visitors send out these tiny boats. Each one with a candle, to help them light the way for any wandering spirits who can't find their way back home."

On one of the boats, the Maiden Ghost was sitting on the rock and switches to the old women before going into his normal form.

Bertrand: "This summer is over, but your legend will continue to live on."

The real Maiden's Ghost emerges out of the rock

Maiden's Ghost: "Thank you, Bertrand."

Bertrand: "My pleasure. I enjoy keeping all the old legends that people have forgotten over the years, and if I do a good job of it, I make a few bucks as well."

Maiden's Ghost: "I'll see you again next festival. I'll be waiting until that day when my true love returns to me….. at last."

Bertrand: "Well, I am a Morticians Loudémon. Perhaps someday I'll meet the young man you love and if I do I'll remind him that his Maiden still longs for him to return."

Maiden's Ghost: "Thank you. And goodbye."

She disappears back into the rock and the camera gives full view of the house and the rock itself. Brock just stood there making one last look at the statue.

Brock: "If only you were 2,000 years younger. Maybe next year."

Later, everyone was now gathered around in an area with lights. Jessie and James were then seen playing the drums.

James: "I think I'm doing a bang up job."

Jessie: "Let's drum up some fun!"

Ronnie Anne just played a flute. Meanwhile Ash and Lincoln were reading some books.

Ash: "A Mortician Loudémon. Ghastly."

Lincoln: "It sure is."

Misty arrives wearing some Chinese clothing.

Misty: "Sorry I'm late."

Ash and Lincoln gazed at Misty's clothing in amaze.

Misty: "Come on, Ash! Let's dance!"

Ash: "Uh, sure."

Misty: "You too, Lincoln."

Lincoln: "Alright, I'll gladly join. Let's go and dance."

Everyone was now dancing and the camera starts to pan up away from the dance to show a full view of the town.

Narrator: "And so, the Summer Festival draws to a close. There's autumn in the air. Which means that poor Brock won't get back to the beach until next year. But cheer up, Brock. A lot can happen in a years time. Who knows what new adventures and romances are just waiting over the horizon."
