Lily was doing things thought impossible. She would engorge a part of Harry, then inscribed a rune on the bone in miniature. She also did this on his flesh, only where it would not be seen. Between toes and fingers, in eyebrows and private parts. Once Harry had over 206 runed bones, She did the bigger bones for a few other things. She then made deals with the Elemental Fey. Taking life from her and James. She did 5 ten year contracts, same as James. They figured they would not live, so giving up fifty years of their physical life to save their son was a bonus.
Lily's first was that any runes, runic arrays, wards, or deals she made in this house would be perfect. James's first was that all the runed bones could not be destroyed. James's third was that the warded bones and runed skin could not be found. His second, copied Lily's first, too late. The wards were Blood Magic from Lily involving her second deal. Lily's third and James's fourth was to make up an internal ID or Superego to defend Harry's mental health. They would bring Harry into the center of his mind, while they took the brunt of any harm. Over the years of pain, breakage and abuse. Lily's fourth was that Harry would get physically stronger, agile, and faster. His Id (James the Marauder) learned to take it, but also how to dish it out. His Super Ego (Lily, loving mother) on the other hand, would make a true Slytherin look like a Gryffindor to do whatever it took to protect him.
The problem is the wording of both their last deals. Neither had done their last deal yet. James's was "Lily, take care of Harry and run away from here." So Lily ran from James and Voldemort. She fled 'James's life. Her last was the deal "Take me, let my son live." Since it was a broken deal by Tom Marvolo Riddle, MAGIC and the Norns, destroyed the Horcruxes. Kreature died with the house, as the Locket was incinerated with Fiendfyre and burned to the ground. Malfoy Manor and thirty Death Eaters and all three Malfoys died when the half soul in the Diary exploded like a small fusion bomb.
The Lestranges Vault exploded outward, killing several Goblins and the Dragon they were moving. This came about as the cup was warped to a new dimension, the wormhole rift destroying all the dark magic in the vault, but sucking all the precious metals and gems with the cup, out to the other dimension. The Ring vaporized the surrounding magical area and sent the stone to the cloak and wand. Albus not being able to stop himself, died from trying to be the Master of Death, which only a Peverell could be, if acceptable. The three items followed the last Peverell into the new dimension. Rowena's Sanctuary had what happened to the vault, except that all items not dark went with the Tiara. The Prophecy turned black.
Lily and Harry were dumped out with the cup, tiara, and all the other things from the vault and Room of Requirement, in a universe that they never were born in. And so starts the rest of the story!
