A massive heap of rubble, what remains of the Future Industries warehouse after its impact with the energy cannon. As ash rains down through the air and smoke rises into the sky, a large slab of concrete begins to quiver and shake; the higher end of the slab rises into the air, revealing Bolin straining to bend it upward beneath it.
The other people trapped by the explosion escape as he keeps the wall at bay.
"Go ahead, take your time, just bending a giant wall!" Bolin said with his voice strained with exertion as people rush past him. "Man, have we got a lot of people hurt! Is that everybody?! Gah!"
Bolin drops the huge slab of concrete, throwing himself out of its way as it crashes back down. Tenzin as he airbends himself up to the top of a building and rushes to its edge; Tenzin uses it as a vantage point, showing the Colossus wading through the bay and, to its right, a battalion of normal-sized mecha suits marching across the bay on a bridge.
After the horde of mecha suits, Tenzin stares in horror at the oncoming horde, before running from his vantage and returning to the others, landing in the middle of the group gathered in a crater of rubble nearby.
"Meldora is heading our way, with a platoon of mecha suits!" Tenzin said urgently.
"What should we do?" Asami asked.
"This is my hometown and I hate to say it, but there's no use risking all our lives to fight that giant thing! Let her take the city for now! We'll think of some way to come back and beat her!" Bolin said in a serious tone.
"What about all the people who haven't been evacuated yet? If Meldora finds out that Wu is with them, she might fire that spirit cannon at him and take them all out." Mako said.
As Mako speaks, the shot pans right to show Suyin, Wei, Wing, and Korra.
"I have a plan." Vaatu's imprint said. "Korra, Raava, we have to go to the Spirit World."
"That's it!" Raava's imprint said.
"Why?" Korra asked. "Just trust us, Korra." Vaatu said before the two Avatar Spirits emerges from Korra.
"Everyone, keep those alien witches busy while I'm gone. I won't be long." Korra said.
Korra jumped on Vaatu and the Avatar Spirits flies to the Southern Pole to the spirit portal
Lin approached. "We take down that giant today."
"Lin!" Tenzin said.
Lin was smiling. "Glad to see you all made it out. You had me worried."
"Well, you benders are going to have to fight her alone. She just blew up our factory with all our hummingbird suits." Varrick said.
Asami Not all of them. There are the prototypes back at my office. If we can get those ready to fly, we'll at least be able to offer a little air support.
"Su, you take the rest of the wounded back to Asami's office. Get those suits working as soon as you can. The rest of us will just have to face Meldora on our own while Korra's going to the Spirit World." Tenzin said.
Meanwhile, at the train station, where a tremor causes debris to rain down from the ceiling above. The evacuees gathered begin to panic and Pema climbs onto a bench and yells to the crowd, trying to restore calm.
"Everyone, please settle down. The trains should be returning to pick us up soon." Pema said.
An evacuee was impatient. "Tell that mecha jerk to settle down. She's the one blowing up the whole city!"
S.J was inopportunely climbing up onto the bench in front of Pema. "I hate to be the bearer of more bad news, but I just heard on the radio that Meldora's army has destroyed the train tracks. We're not getting out of the city by rail."
Tu jumps up onto the bench behind Pema, pinning her between himself and the conductor. "Everyone! I was just up on the observation deck and saw a bunch of mecha suit soldiers heading this way!"
"Oh great! The giant one wasn't enough?! It's over! We're all gonna get blown to bits!" the evacuee said.
Wu jumps onto the bench behind the conductor; the excess of people standing on the small bench causes Tu, on the opposite side, to nearly lose his balance.
"Listen everyone, I can get us out of here if you just sit tight." he said cordially before he turns to S.J. "S.J, can you step off the bench, please? It's a little crowded up here."
"Sorry." S.J said.
"Just stay calm. I'll be right back. Come on." Wu said.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Where are you going?" a man asked.
Wu regains his balance, annoyed. "I'm going to get some help." He turns to Pema. "You think you can handle this unruly mob for a little while?"
"I raised Meelo. I can handle anything." Pema said confidently.
Meanwhile, at deserted street city street. The only people visible were Bolin, Mako, Lin, Ikki, and Meelo as they race down it. The interior of a paint store, looking out through the front glass window, as the group runs past.
Meelo, the last to run by, suddenly stops and returns to the window.
"A paint store? That's it!" Meelo airbends the door down.
Lin returns to get him. "What the hell are you doing, Meelo?"
"I just got an idea how to beat the giant. Now, everyone, grab some paint and find me some balloons!" Meelo said brightly.
On some of the city's buildings. The mecha suit's crashing can be heard as the Colossus itself walking through the streets.
An insane-looking Meldora in the cockpit, followed by a nearby rooftop, where the feet of many airbenders run across its surface and throw themselves into the empty air beyond, taking flight with bright-green balloons filled with paint strapped to their bodies.
They arrange themselves in formation and and bear down on the Colossus. Through binoculars, of the oncoming airbenders, before an Earth Empire soldier observes the scenario in that manner from the cockpit.
"Queen Meldora, airbenders approaching." he said.
"I can see them." Meldora said bitterly.
Manipulating the controls, Meldora turns the Colossus to face the airbenders and points the cannon toward them. Taking careful aim, she fires the weapon, scattering the airbenders as the beam passes them by and impacts a building beyond, causing an explosion which pierces a hole through it and severs the top from the bottom.
The airbenders fall out of the sky, landing on rooftops before taking flight again. As the airbenders swarm around the Colossus, it flails its non-weaponized arm in an attempt to swat the airbenders away.
On the ground where Lin, Wei, Wing, Mako and Bolin stare up at the Colossus, large spools of wire at the ready. Meelo who dodges a swat from the arm before landing on the outstretched arm and running across the body, airbending the balloons from his suit and holding them in midair, spinning them around his head.
"Bombs away!" Meelo shouts.
Meelo throws his balloons to the Colossus's target crosshair, covering it with purple paint.
"Ugh, what's this, paint?" Melodra snapped.
The airbenders follow suit and cover the remaining windows. In front of the unmoving mecha, Bumi airbends himself onto the roof; he stands there, glaring at the massive machine in front of him with disdain.
At the cockpit, airbenders were still swarming around it, followed by the interior of the cockpit itself as Melodra's vision becomes almost completely obscured by the paint.
"Clear the glass! I can't see" Melodora said.
On the outside, nozzles spray water on the windows. Tenzin as he lands on a nearby tile roof, taking cover.
"Now!"
Lin swings onto the Colossus's right ankle and tries to metalbend the joints. The endeavor was unsuccessful, and she yells back to Bolin as he stands with the spools of wire nearby.
"The joints are platinum, too! We can't metalbend any of it!" Lin said.
As Lin and the twins dismount from the Colossus, Bolin advances on it, catapulting himself into the air.
"You're about to get the world's largest hot foot, metal lady!" Bolin shouts.
Landing in front of the Colossus's left foot, he lavabends the street beneath it. He spreads the lava until the entire space under the foot was lava, causing the Colossus's foot to sink into it and become unstable.
Inside the Colossus's interior as Meldora loses her balance. The outside as Lin and the twins bend the spools of wire, wrapping the legs of the suit in the metal cables.
Numerous Witchvanians on broomsticks ambushed the airbenders with magic. On Witchvanian soldiers captured Mako, Bolin, Lin and her nephews.
At Future Industries where Varrick, Asami, Zhu Li, Franceschini, Kaori and Diogenes sees the Witches as they captured the others.
Varrick sadly looks at Zhu Li. "Zhu Li, I've been thinking.
"You're always thinking, sir." Zhi Li said.
"Yes. But lately, I've been thinking about you. I know we might not make it out of this mess and I feel like there are some things I should tell you." Varrick said.
"There are?
"I remember when I was a boy, I had an ostrich horse. Named her Mrs. Beaks. I grew up on a farm. Did I ever tell you that, Zhu Li? This was before the circus people took me away. Anyway, I loved old Mrs. Beaks, but I took her for granted like I took you in the same way. I'm sorry."
"It's okay, sir." Zhu Li said with a smile.
Varrick was getting nervous. "I have something I need to attach before we might die."
Zhu Li was confused. "Attached to what?"
Varrick takes out a small purple box. "I need to attach this ring to your finger." He kneels down and opens the box, revealing a green ring. "Zhu Li Moon, will you do the thing for the rest of our lives?"
Zhu Li smiled. "Yes."
Varrick triumphantly stands up. "Yes!" He puts the ring to Zhu Li's finger, before carrying and kissing her.
In the Colossus, where Meldora madly cackles in triumph.
"Ahh, just the way I've dreamed, Planet Earth in my comanned." She turns to one of her soldiers. "Where's Avatar Korra?"
"There's no sign of her, Supreme One." the Witchvanian soldier replied.
"I knew she couldn't stop me." Meldora said.
Meanwhile, at the train station where the evacuees have become bored, while Pema was singing.
"Oh, first he ate the fruit, then he ate the leaves"
"Hungry little lemur, ate up all my trees."
She stops singing. "Okay, great job everybody. Who's got another song for us?"
The evacuee was impatient. "We can't just sit around here singing old airbender songs until we're all captured, or worse."
"Should we play the button game? Who has a button?" Pema asked.
The evacuee glares are Pema while pounding sounds were heard. The evacuees turn to face the sound, where Wu and Tu were each riding a badgermole. The badgermoles stop in front of the evacuees and sniff at them.
"Where the hell do these badgermoles come from?" S.J asked.
"The zoo! Mako always hated my singing, but they love it!" Wu said.
"Well, what are we supposed to do with badgermoles?" a man asked.
"They're the best earthbenders around! We can use them to tunnel out of the city without Meldora's troops spotting us."
"Are you sure this is the best plan?" the same man asked before the spirit cannon was fired near the group. "Let's follow the moles!"
Wu starts to sing.
"Badgermoles, digging holes"
"Under Republic City"
"Got to run away from Meldora today"
"And I do think she's scary"
The badgermoles creates a hole beneath the train tracks and walk into the tunnel.
Meanwhile, the Avatar and Spirits had arrived at the Spirit World. Korra turns to look at Vaatu dejectedly, but still follows him. The trio walks up to the Tree of Time.
"Why are you showing me your old prison? You said it could help me find Toph." Korra said.
"Because this tree had a history long before it held me. This is the Tree of Time. And the legends say its roots bind the spirit and physical worlds together." Vaatu said.
"And, you think this tree can help us somehow?" Korra asked again.
"Yes. Long ago, the ancients would meditate beneath this tree and connect with the great cosmic energy of the universe." Raava said.
The trio enters the hollow of the tree, and as Korra enters, various memories appear, ranging from her adventure regarding the Equalists to Wan's past.
"These are my memories." Korra said.
"The Tree of Time remembers all. Korra, the most powerful thing about you is not Raava and me, but your own inner spirit. You have always been strong, unyielding, fearless." Vaatu said.
Korra's memories fade off, with a vision of Avatar Wan replacing them.
"Avatar Wan." Korra said.
"Before I fused with Raava, I was just a regular person." Wan said as he aprears.
"But, you were brave, and... smart, and always wanted to defend the helpless." Korra said.
A memory shows Wan feeding multiple woodland animals, and him defending the spirits from firebenders.
"That's right. I became a legend because of who he was, not what I was. I wasn't defined by Raava anymore than you are." Wan said.
"This is how we can defeat Meldora. If the past Avatars, the two of us and your inner spirit connected to the universe, the balance shall be maintained." Raava said.
A memory of the Colossus laying waste upon Republic City emerges.
Korra was watching the memory. "Everyone in Republic City is in danger."
"We have to help them, Korra." Vaatu said.
"How? We're half-way around the world." Korra said.
Wan puts his hand onto Korra's shoulder. "Do as the ancients once did. Connect to the cosmic energy of the universe. Don't bend the elements, but the energy within yourself."
"You really think I can do this?" Korra asked.
"I have no doubt." Wan said before he merges with Korra.
"It is up to us." Korra said.
Korra seated in a meditative position with Raava and Vaatu re-enters her body.
"Find the light in the dark."
Korra was standing on astral lights. She opens her eyes and turns, seeing a large projection of herself, holding a ball of light, similar to Aang. Korra looks on with determination and walks toward the ball of light.
As she enters it, a large, golden fusion projection of herself and the Spirits exits her body and the Tree of Time. Outside the tree, where Korra's projection reaches out to the overlapping portals and was sucked through, disappearing through the base of the portal.
Meanwhile, the evacuees were in the tunnel, created by the badgermoles while Wu was singing.
"Oh, Yin, you're the sweetest evacuee I've ever known"
Then the evacuees who mostly covers their ears.
"And I just want to thank you for being so kind"
"When I was living in your home"
"Halt!"
The evacuees turn to see three mecha suits and three witch soldiers ambushing them.
"Turn around slowly and please, stop that singing. You're all Witchvanian Empire prisoners. Come with us and no one will get hurt." a Witchvanian said.
"You don't need these people. They're just innocent civilians caught in the crossfire, but I'm Prince Wu, rightful leader of the Earth Kingdom." Wu outstretches his hands. "Take me to Meldora. I've got business with her."
"No! Don't do it, Wu." S.J said.
"I have to. But before I go, I'd like to sing you a song." Wu said before he starts singing.
"If you don't respect the broach"
"You don't respect me"
"Oh, no, no, no, no, no"
"You're no better than a roach"
The badgermoles turns and leaves the group.
"But I'm royalty. I got my badgermoles with me.
"Actually, your song is so bad, your badgermoles deserted you." a Earth Empire soldier said bluntly.
"You don't know what you're talking about"
The badgermoles land on the mecha suits, crushing them.
"Oh, badgermoles I love you, I love you"
"I want to, I want to pet your snouts."
Wu laughs, as the evacuees cheer him on.
Korra's projection speeds through the spirit lights.
At Republic City, an emergency alarm blares. The Colossus looks up on the left. A blue light coursing through the sky.
Inside the Colossus, Meldora was unsure what it was.
"What the hell?" she wondered.
The light intensifies into a bright ball. the bright ball slams into the mecha giant, knocking it back, ricocheting to the water's surface.
In the Colossus, Meldora was lying on the ground and stands back up. Her soldiers runs through a portal to escape, except Meldora.
"Come back here, you cowareds!" Meldora yelled. "What was that?"
Korra's projection stands up. On the city, the Witchvanian armada, the airbenders, and others watches Korra's cosmic entity.
"Korra's back!" Ikki said. "And she's a golden giant!" Bolin said.
The Colossus rises up from the water and prepares to battle Korra. Both the mecha giant and the entity fires out their respective energy beams from, but Korra focuses her beams to overpower the Co'ussus', eventually knocking it back. Korra runs forward, but the metal giant shoots out tendrils toward her, which she catches and uses to immobilize and grab it before slamming it toward a nearby mountain.
"YOU THINK YOU CAN STOP ME?!" Meldora asked evilly before her weapon ensnares Korra with its own metal tendrils." The Earth is mine! And soon you will be destroyed!
The Colossus fires a close-range energy beam at Korra, knocking her unconscious.
The mecha giant was near success in destroying Korra. Inside the Colosuss, Meldora laughs loudly.
"With you out of the way, I shall rule this planet, and the entire galaxies, planets, universes, dimensions, and multiverses! I choose to be a very powerful ally for the Kraang for one purpose we wanted: Control of all existence! And you won't be there."
Korra was holding with her a small ball of light. She opens her palms, releasing the light, which illuminates Republic City.
In the Colossus, Meldora, who was shielding her eyes from the glare of the light.
"No!"
Korra runs forward and punches the Colossus's chest before inside it, Meldora was scared of what was happing to her weapon. The power core of the Colossus begins to glow rabidly as it was about to explode. On the cockpit, electrical beams around the switches scared Meldora.
"NO, NO! Wha… I gotta get outta here!" She tries to create a portal with her wand, but the electrical beam destroyed it.
She hesitated, looks around her soon-to-be-destroyed Colossus, surrounded by the electrical beams. She stands there, in defeat.
"I really hate that Avatar." Meldora said in her last words.
The Colossus explodes into a spherical mass of energy form around the bay. The orb of energy begins to expand, slowly at first, then exponentially and glows bright white and flares into a massive size.
The orb utterly implodes, crushing itself down to microscopic size as it sucks the clouds inward to itself, leaving only a golden pinpoint sitting at the center of the bay.
A brief flare of golden light flickers out and the world was bathed in a golden glow as a yellowish beam of energy erupts skyward, a beacon rising into the sky as Meldora's army of alien witches and mecha suits watches from the streets of the city.
Within the beam rise two coiled ribbons of green and yellow, two helices spiraling upward into the sky above.
The rotating orb shines greenish-yellow on the ground at the base of the beacon, followed by the debris of the Colossus as Bolin gasps as he sees it.
As they stare in wonder at the beacon, Tenzin and his children walked toward the spiraling light.
"A new spirit portal." Tenzin said astonished.
Korra still stands there before teleporting away back to the Spirit World. All the spirits emerges from the new spirit portal happily.
In the mothership, Magina saw what happened to the Colossus, she flinches in fear. She ran to the microphone.
"The Supreme Witch is dead! The Avatar of the Balance has killed her, and destroyed the Colossus! Retreat! Retreat! Return to Nebula! It's our own chance! Retreat!" Magina said in fear.
All the Witchvanian armada retreats to their galaxy, to their home planet. The mothership follows the armada. All the Earth Empire soldiers were free from Meldora's spell.
Meanwhile, up the sky, Korra, glowing in gold colour, in the Ultimate Avatar State, with glowing gold eyes. She flies down to her friends and leaves the State.
"It's over." she said.
Mako, Bolin, and Asami ran up to Korra. Mako hugs and kisses her.
"Our kids are gonna love you!" Mako said.
"You were amazing." Asami said.
"And the way you turned all gigantic like that, wow! I just wished Varrick was here to film it! It would be the greatest mover ever. After the Nuktuk chronicles of course." Bolin said excitedly.
Meanwhile, somewhere in New York, Ch'rell was drinking tea with three of his identical comrades. A radio was ringing, Ch'rell answered it.
"Yes? Report." Ch'rell said.
"Ch'rell, the Witchvanian called Meldora and that was called the weapon had been destroyed by the being which is called the Avatar of the Balance." the voice from the radio said.
"Oh? Thank you for telling me this." Ch'rell said before he turned off the radio. "The Avatar is a powerful one. Gives me no reason to hate her."
"What can we do?" the man who looked like Ch'rell asked.
"Nothing, my friends. Our main and only goal is here. The Avatar is no threat to us, nor we are to her. not yet anyway." Ch'rell said with a mischievous grin.
Later, Varrick and Zhu Li's wedding, where Bolin was marrying the couple. Varrick and Zhu Li kiss, while the crowd applauds. The Air Temple Island courtyard, later that night, when the people have shifted from in front of the makeshift altar to a dance floor with tables in front of it. Tahno, Lu, Gang, the council page, and the White Falls Wolfbats provide the music.
Varrick was dancing with Zhu Li, while Ikki was dancing with a reluctant Huan, Kuvira was dancing with Baatar Jr., Asami was dancing with S.J. Opal drags Bolin onto the dance floor as well. Lin takes some food from a waiter, while Pema chases Rohan.
Mako was addressing the party.
"Hello, I like to make a toast to Varrick and Zhu Li for this holy matrimony." Varrick gives a thumbs up to Mako. "And to Korra."
Korra was sitting next to her parents, Sheng, his wife and daughter, Tenzin, his sibling, his mother, and his two old friends, with Vaatu and Raava behind Korra.
"I want you to know, I'll follow you into battle, no matter how crazy things get. I've got your back I always will." Mako said before Korra was touched. "I like to sing for you. I have to tell you, it was Vaatu's idea.
Korra looks at Vaatu in confused while Mako gives the musicians some lyrics. They picked up rock n roll instruments and plays 'Sweet Transvestite while Mako sings it.
"How d'you do, I"
Korra was surprised as she covers her mouth. "Oh my God!"
"See you've met my"
"Faithful handyman"
"He's just a little brought down because
"When you knocked"
"He thought you were the candy man"
Korra and Raava looks at Vaatu with a smile. "Well, what did you expect?" he asked.
"Don't get strung out by the way that I look"
"Don't judge a book by its cover"
Kuvira and Baatar Jr. was admired by the music.
"I'm just a sweet transvestite"
"From Transexual, Transylvania, ha-ha"
Mako walks down from the stage and walks to Korra.
"Well, you got caught with a flat, well, how about that?
"Well, babies, don't you panic"
Korra joins Mako in the song.
"By the light of the night, it'll all seem alright"
"I'll get you a satanic mechanic"
The couple starts dancing while they continue singing.
"I'm just a sweet transvestite"
"From Transexual, Transylvania, ha-ha"
"Hit it, hit it, I'm just a sweet transvestite "
The audience joins the song. "Sweet transvestite"
"From Transexual, Transylvania, ha-ha"
Some time ago, at a hospital, Korra was about to give birth to her babbies and Mako was there with her. One hand clutched at a sheet, as her other hand clutches tightly at Mako's hand.
She grunts in pain as she tries to push, but her pain gets worse.
"I can't. I can't do it." she said.
"Yes, you can, Korra." Mako said. You can do it. Push."
Raava and Vaatu were calming the Avatar down. "You can do it." Raava said.
"Push." Vaatu said.
Korra grunts and she pushed real harder. She screams loudly in the room until a baby's cries were heard.
"It's a girl." said Dr. Franceschini's cousin, Roger Franceschini. He looked like Dallas, but without the moustache. "But, the other is coming, Korra. Push!"
Korra cried out as the second baby slipped free of her body.
Later, Korra laid in the brand, snuggling with her two babies by her sides. A girl and a boy. The girl with black hair, and the boy with brown hair. Mako shed a tear as he sees his twin babies.
"They are gorgeous." Raava said. "Hey, there." Vaatu cooled as the babies smiles at the Spirits.
Bolin runs in the room excitedly. "Where are they? Where are they?" He sees the babies. "Awwww, they're beautiful." Bolin shed a tear.
Asami walks in and sees the babies. "Oh, my God. They are… so cute."
"So, what do you want to call them?" Mako asked.
"Raava and Vaatu."
The two spirits were surprised and happy when Korra had decided to name the twins after them.
"Raava Lo-Pan and Vaatu Lo-Pan. I love it." Mako said.
Baby Raava and baby Vaatu smiles at their parents. Korra Mako, Raava, Vaatu, Bolin and Asami stares at the babies in happiness. Korra shared a deep kiss with Mako.
