Master Fighter Battles 2 Chapter 1 Long Ago

(Our Story begins with a narrated story, told as a shadow puppet show. Two Pokémon overlook a tall, majestic tower. The Narrator says)
NARRATOR: Long ago, in ancient Sinnoh, the Rulers of Crown City were famous. They brought extraordinary joy and prosperity to the city, for they had invented fireworks. (Citizens gather in the streets as colorful fireworks explode over the city. The scene then changes to a room in the palace: a young Pokémon experiments with the gunpowder. A small explosion from the bowl surprises him, and then he smiles darkly. The Pokémon's mother and father witness this outside his room and look at each other with concern). But their son, Lord Red, saw darker power in the fireworks. What had brought color and joy could also bring darkness and destruction. (The scene switches to the throne room: the Pokémon's parents watch as the Narrator puts two items into a small bowl and an apparition appears. In the apparition, the son becomes a yin yang symbol). The Boys troubled parents consulted a Soothsayer. She foretold that if he continued down this dark path, he would lose by a warrior of black and white. (The Pokémon watches the scene from behind a pillar. The Son scowls and exits the palace with a small army of Pokémon). The young lord set out to change his fate, but what he did next... only sealed it. (A moment later, the residents of a small village watch in horror as he sets his Army on them. Back at the palace, The Pokémon bursts in on his parents, triumphant. His expression changes when he sees the looks on their faces). He returned to his parents full of pride, but in their faces, he only saw horror. (Outside the palace gates, the son and his parents stand on opposite sides. The father signifies that he is no longer welcome there). He was to leave the city forever. (The Son furiously says words back before leaving with his Army. The parents' shoulders slump as they watch their son leave).But he swore revenge: Someday, he would return, and all Sinnoh would bow at his feet. (A door to the shadow puppet scene closes and then cuts to a foundry in the mountains. A pack of Pokémon is heaving, pounding, and burning metal. One of the Pokémon, a large red soldier jumps over to his Lord and bows).
Boss Soldier: Itis almost complete, Lord Red, but wehave run out of metal.
Lord: Search the farthest villages. Find more metal! Sinnoh will be mine.
