Unexpected Winds
Chapter Seven
After leaving the Dream Castle, Sesshomaru drove Kagura to his house. Kagura had never been to his place before. The only thing she knows about it, was that it was huge. Kanna had told her that after she had slept over at Rin's one night. As Sesshomaru pulled into the driveway, Kagura eyes widen at the sight of the house. It was easily at least six times bigger than her own house.
Sesshomaru parked in the back of the house, parking next to his father's vehicle. He got out and opened the door for Kagura. When Kagura was out of the car, Sesshomaru held Kagura's hand taking her towards the back door, that he and his family used most of the time. The front door was mostly for guests. Mainly his father's clients who come to the house.
Once inside the house, Kagura and Sesshomaru took their shoes off and Sesshomaru led Kagura into the living room. Inside the living room was Toga, Sesshomaru's father and Izayoi, Sesshomaru's step mother. Both of whom were sitting in a white chair each reading a book. Between the chairs was a white couch. Once they heard footsteps coming into the room they set their books down onto their laps. "Father, Step Mother, this is my girlfriend Kagura." Sesshomaru introduced Kagura to his parents. "Kagura this is my father Toga and this is my step mother Izayoi."
"Nice to meet you." Kagura said and bowed properly. She was a bit nervous. While she and Sesshomaru have been dating for a few months now, she is now officially meeting his parents. She has heard that they were nice and from what Sesshomaru said, they were looking forward to meeting her. Still, that didn't make her any less nervous.
"Nice to meet you Kagura-San." Izayoi said with a gentle smile on her face as she set her book on the nearby end table. "Have a seat, dinner should be done in a few. Relax for a few minutes." Izayoi motioned both of them inside the room.
"It's nice to finally meet you Kagura." Toga said with a big smile on his face. "Did you two have fun at The Dream Castle?"
"Yes." Kagura said. She relaxed a bit at Izayoi smile. She sat on the couch next to Sesshomaru. Sesshomaru took her hand into his, intertwining his fingers with hers. "Thank you for inviting me to dinner." Kagura said.
"It's the least we could do." Toga said. "We have heard quite a bit about you. All good things I promise." Toga gave one of those typical dad laughs. "I hope you don't mind we just wanted to meet the girl who won our son's heart."
Kagura slowly shook her head. "Not at all."
"Mind if I ask Kagura-San, how old you are?" Izayoi asked.
"I'm currently seventeen, but i'll turn eighteen in September." Kagura said.
"Only a few months away." Izayoi eyes seemed to sparkle when she learn Kagura's birthday was coming up. "Just a quick question, are your parents alright with you dating Sesshomaru? He's at least three years older and as you know he just recently turned twenty one. I just want to know if your parents are okay with you dating a college man while you're still in high school."
"My parents are alright with me dating Sesshomaru. As long as my grades don't slip and they don't catch him in my room alone with me." Kagura said. He father made it clear after meeting Sesshomaru that he doesn't want seeing Sesshomaru alone with her in her room where Kanna or anyone could walk in at any moment.
"Of course." Toga said. "That said, we would like to meet your parents if that's alight with you Kagura." He also set his book on top of an nearby end table. "I hope you understand we want to meet the parents of anyone who our children are dating in long term. We did the same thing when Inuyasha started dating Kagome."
"Of course i'm sure they would want to meet you." Kagura said. At least her mother would want to meet them. Her father on the other hand, she didn't know. But he might go along if her mother puts her foot down.
"Father" Sesshomaru looked at Toga and then Izayoi. "Stepmother." He then proceed to tell them what Kagura told him earlier about her beach day and she planning on bringing her younger sister along with other including Sesshomaru himself and wanted to bring Rin along too.
"That sounds fun. Of course Rin can go, she'll be delighted when she hears about it." Toga said.
"I was thinking we'll tell her after dinner." Sesshomaru said.
"Of course." Izayoi said. "We won't say a word. She'll be most excited to hear it from you two anyways."
"Dinner is served." Jaken said entering the living room. "Myoga went to get Rin-Sama and Inuyasha-Sama." Jaken said bowing his head.
"Kagura this is Jaken." Toga said. "He lives here along with a few of our employees. If you need help with anything, don't hesitate to ask him if you see him."
"Of course, I am here to serve." Jaken grateful to his employer's kindness. Having hired him years ago when he had no place to live.
"Thank you Jaken." Izayoi said before Jaken excuses himself from the room. "Shall we go in the dining room." Izayoi led the group from the living room, down the hallway and into the dining room where Toga and Izayoi took their seats at the ends of the table while Kagura and Sesshomaru sat on one side of the table.
A minute later, Rin came into the dining room and sat in the chair across from Kagura. "Hi Kagura-San want to see my room after dinner."
"Rin." Toga scolded her in a joking manner.
"It's a little rude just ask someone to see your room right away." Izayoi softly said. "Especially since she's your older brother's guest."
"Sorry." Rin looked down. "I like Kagura-San and I wanted to show her my room for a few minutes after dinner."
"I wouldn't mind." Kagura said. "As long as it's alright with your parents."
Rin seemed to perk up at that. She look at her father first and then her mother who nodded.
"Hey Kagura." Inuyasha said coming into the dining room. "So Sesshomaru finally brought you home to meet the parents huh? Are you scared yet?"
"Inuyasha please." Izayoi shook her head. "Do you really think we'll scare her off?"
"No" Inuyasha said. "It's just he never brought a girl home to meet you guys before." It looked like Inuyasha was about to say something else when Toga gave him a look of warning.
Kagura smiled, she was finally able to relax completely. She was worried that they wouldn't like her or be stuck up and think she wouldn't be good enough for Sesshomaru. So far, they hadn't appeared to dislike her yet.
Jaken appeared with six glasses of water that he put in front of each person while another employee came in with a cart with food already served on the plates. The employee, a woman picked up the plates and set them in front of each person.
"Thank you Shizu-San." Rin said when Shizu placed her plate in front of her.
"Thank you." Kagura said when Shizu placed a plate in front of her. Shizu smiled at Kagura before setting a last plate down and taking he cart out of the room.
"That's Shizu-San. She's the best cook ever." Rin said as she started eating her dinner. "She has a daughter in my class named Shiori-Chan."
While the rest of them ate, Toga and Izayoi asked the kids about their day, not to mention getting to know Kagura. Like what kind of club she was in. Or what school she wanted to go to. Questions about her family. Just the normal questions they could think of.
After everyone was finished eating their dinner, Shizu came in taking their dirty plate and setting desert in from of them. "Thank you." Kagura said and waited a moment before taking a bite of the cheesecake set before. It wasn't like any cheesecake she had tasted before. It was delicious.
"How are you liking your desert Kagura?" Toga asked after the desert and out and was served.
"It's delicious. I never tasted anything like it before." Kagura said. "May I ask what kind it is?"
"Of course, it's a white chocolate cherry cheesecake." Izayoi said. " It's Sesshomaru's favorite cheesecake." Izayoi gave a subtle nod to Sesshomaru.
"Sorry to interrupt my lord," Jaken came into the room just as everyone was finishing their cheesecake and went straight to Toga. "There's an important phone call in your study."
"Thank you Jaken." Toga said. "Sorry to have to leave you, but I better see what the call's about." Toga turned to Kagura. "Nice meeting you again Kagura. I look forward seeing you again. Don't be stranger around here." Toga left the room.
"I'll see to make sure the table is clear." Izayoi said. "Kagura-San, it was lovely to meet you. Just so you know, you are welcome to come over at anytime. We'll love to see you again."
"Thank you." Kagura said.
"Wanna see my room now?" Rin asked.
"Sure." Kagura laughed at Rin energy. She followed Rin with Sesshomaru behind them. They went upstairs down a hallway and turn down another hallway leading to Rin's room. "I'm assuming your favorite color is yellow, right?" Kagura noticed the bright yellow room.
"That's right." Rin said proudly taking Kagura hand showing her around the room starting with her pink desk with a picture of a frog on the side. The chair was green with the back shaped like an actual frogs face. Next was her princess type bed with yellow and white bedding. Then she preceded to show her the doll house.
Kagura remembered when she was little, she had wanted a doll house for her tenth birthday, however her parents couldn't afford it. Her family had moved into their current house a few months back after her father had spent over two years and all the money he hand to building a bigger place for the family to fit. Money then got even tighter when her mother got pregnant and had given birth to Hakudoshi a month before her birthday.
Despite not getting a real doll house, she and her mother had used cardboard boxes from the move to build one for her. It didn't look like the one she wanted, but she loved it and got to spend time with her mother working on it. She played with it until it got destroyed by her brothers Juromaru and Kageromaru while she was out playing with her friends at the park one afternoon months later.
"Hey Rin wanna know something?" Kagura smiled as Rin nodded. "My best friend Jakotsu and I usually go to the beach towards the end of the summer. Usually it's just us, but this year we're going to invite our friends. Would you like to go to the beach with us?"
Rin's eyes lit up. "Is Kanna-Chan coming too?"
Kagura nodded. "Yes she is."
"Yay I can't wait." Rin said excitedly.
A few minutes later Sesshomaru led Kagura up another set of stairs and led her to his own bedroom. His room walls were white with a queen size bed with blue and white stripped bedding. He had a night stand on both sides of his bed. A alarm clock on one of the night stands and a lamp on the other. There's a desk with computer on one wall with a big bookcase full of books on the opposite side of the wall. She also noticed he had one of those cd player that can hold multiple cds at once and can change a cd by remote and a loveseat
Sesshomaru picked up the remote to the cd player and pressed play. The cd he chose to play was by the band Panther Devas.
Kagura smiled when Sesshomaru wrapped his arms around her waist. She wrapped her arms around his neck as they started to kiss. Kagura could taste the cheesecake on his lips. Kagura ran one of her fingers through his hair while Sesshomaru managed to bring her closer to him deepening the kiss.
The two eventually broke their kiss to catch their breath. Kagura sat down on one end of the loveseat while Sesshomaru sat on the other side. "I like your parents." Kagura said. "I thought they would hate me."
"I told you they would love you." Sesshomaru said. "Now that they actually seen the face of the girl I always talk about." Kagura blushed at that. "I told them that you were beautiful, smart, caring."
Kagura kissed Sesshomaru. "Well I think you're handsome, smart and caring yourself." Not a lot of big brothers would take their much younger sister out to karaoke and bring her friend and older sister too. "A lot smarter than I am. I hear that Meido University is one toughest and one of the best schools to get into. And for someone like you to be interested in me..."
"Don't sell yourself short." Sesshomaru cupped Kagura's cheek with his hand. "I think someone working towards a goal they're passionate about is pretty smart itself. I also heard that Midoriko University isn't easy to get into either. And I do think you have it to get into Midoriko. And I am very interested in you. I wouldn't asked you out in the first place if you didn't." Sesshomaru kissed her cheek, then her lips. Kagura kissed him back. After a bit, Sesshomaru put his hand on her knee slowly moving up her leg, to just underneath her dress.
They eventually stopped kissing, separating from each other when they heard a knock on Sesshomaru's door. "Come in." Sesshomaru said and Izayoi came in.
"It's getting late." Izayoi said. "You should be getting Kagura-San home soon before her parents start to worry."
Kagura looked at the time on the clock. It was almost ten. She couldn't it had gotten that late. As much as she wanted to spend the whole night kissing Sesshomaru, she had work in the morning.
