Chapter 15 Hell on Earth (Finale)
A.N. – The big finale! Everything comes to light in this chapter. The second entity rises, the Lyoko Warriors try to escape, and X confronts Xana. Let's begin!
Short Summary – The time for the Lyoko Warriors to escape has finally arrived, but problems are still looming. The Lyoko Warriors must build their escape, while Jeremy must find a way to keep the police busy in order to rematerialize them.

Continued From Last Chapter…
"I have an idea, but we're gonna need to generate a lot of power, so we're gonna go across the ocean" Aelita tells the others.
Aelita had an idea on how to escape ever since the beach incident. Now with a confirmed way to get out, Aelita can put her plan into full effect. She looked out on the horizon one last time, for the next one she would see, would be the one back home.
Jeremy emerged from the passage in the park and when he arrived back, he still noticed the detectives at the academy. They all see Jeremy emerge from the park.
"We got a confirmed sighting on the boy" a detective radioed in.
"Roger, we're sending out our secret agent" a detective radioed back.
The detectives were certain Jeremy knew something, but he would not tell. So, instead of trying to force it out of him, they would let him show them. Fortunately for them, Jeremy would not leave the factory when he returned.
As Jeremy was walking up to his room, he had a sneaking suspicion that he was being watched, yet there was no one around him. Jeremy entered his room and grabbed a CD that contained a few programs. When he turned around to leave, he saw Jim standing there in his doorway.
"Ah Jim, I wasn't expecting you to be there" Jeremy stumbled.
"Belpois, what are you doing up in the dorms?" Jim asks him.
"Uh, I needed to grab something that I forgot this morning."
"Listen, I'll let you off the hook this time, but if I catch you entering or up here again without permission, it will two hours of detention! Now go!" Jim points and he slips a chip on his shoulder and the police begin tracking Jeremy's position.
The Lyoko Warriors all gathered the materials needed for their grand escape attempt. They all brough different supplies. Odd brought the wood and half the stone needed for rails and foundation. Ulrich brough the other half of stone as well as the iron supply. Yumi brough glass and the already constructed rails. The glass would serve the purpose as a passage to escape. Aelita brought the redstone and lava that would be used in the glass passages. The redstone would provide a power outlet from an unnatural power source. Before the construction began, Aelita drew out the blueprints on the beach next to where they would make the final run.
"Okay, so we are here, and we are shooting this way. This will allow us to draw up enough speed and generate enough power that will allow us to access the supercomputer. In order for this to wok, we need a proper wind tunnel at the beginning of the track. There will be a central hub where we will start generating speed needed for the run. The final part will be the escape run. If we do this right, we'll disappear, rematerialize, and the reappear in the scanners" Aelita explained.
"And if we don't do this right?" Ulrich asks.
"Either one of two things will happen. Nothing, or we'll end up in the digital sea."
"So, it's important we get this right?" Yumi asks.
"No mistakes. We can't afford the risk."
With everything cleared up, the Lyoko Warriors began construction on their escape.
Jeremy emerged from the sewers on the factory bridge. He ran across the bridge and went down int the elevator. When he was finally at the lab, the detectives narrowed his location.
"The old, abandoned factory on the riverbank. He probably hid his friends there because it's secluded" the detective deduced.
"We have to go there immediately. He might try to move them if he knows we are looking for them" a second detective said.
The detectives grabbed their badges, coats and guns, and went to go and investigate the factory.
"Guys, I'm back. How's the construction coming along?" Jeremy asks them.
"We're halfway done" Ulrich says.
At this time, the Lyoko Warriors have constructed the wind tunnel at the start with a straight track for the start and added speed sources that would allow them to generate speed. They also constructed the central hub and began the final run. Aelita went to go construct the unnatural power source. Aelita feared this would reawaken the second entity, but it wouldn't matter as they would leave here soon.
Within a half hour, the final part was constructed and Aelita filled the glass chambers with lava. The final step was the power.
"Guys, follow me. I have the power we need," Aelita told them. The others followed her past the central hub. They saw the redstone in a line to the rail line. What lied beyond the hub was an altar set up. "I give you our power source."
"Aelita, what have you constructed?" Ulrich asked.
"An altar of power. I know, it's crazy and I doomed us all, but let's face it, this world is damned anyways. Now, this might reawaken the second entity, so I waited until we were finished. I'm gonna light this but prepare to see something you wouldn't. Hell is about to be unleashed."
Aelita light the altar and a enormous source of power generated from the altar. It immediately activated the rail cart system which generated a glow. They were ready. However, down below, the second entity rose.
"Not even God can save you now" the second entity growled as everything was turned into obsidian before being completely destroyed.
Xana also felt this. "What have you done?" he said in a low voice.
The world around them started to flash in and out of existence.
"I think it's time we leave. This shit is freaking me out" Yumi cried with fear.
"On it. Who has a minecart?" Aelita asks. The others all looked around in confusion. "None of you brought a minecart!?"
"We forgot" Ulrich said convincingly.
"I think we got one back at the mountain outpost. We'll head back there, and we'll come back and get out."
With this, they all mad a mad dash back to the mountain outpost to retrieve the last part of their escape, when X appeared before them in a sprit like form. "Listen, the second entity has reawoken. Do whatever you got to do and fast! Xana also knows. If you need help, call upon me. I'll deal with Xana if he gives you trouble" X told them before disappearing. They all continued back.
The detectives have all arrived at the abandoned factory. As they walked across the bridge, Jeremy saw them on the cameras.
"I'm locking down the elevator. I need more time" Jeremy said as he locked down the elevator.
"Search every inch of this place and find Jeremy, the kids, or both" the first detective said as he went to the elevator. He pushed the button, but the elevator didn't move. "Must be another way." He continued searching with his other detectives.
The Lyoko Warriors arrived at the mountain base. The sky has now turned dark and rain poured harder, signaling the coming of evil.
"This rain and storm wasn't here before" Odd says.
"It just means time is short" Aelita replies as they all enter the base.
They went down to the storage shack that X built them, and they found one spare minecart. As they were exiting Xana's 'shades' appeared. They all rushed out to find more 'shades' as well as their leader…Xana.
"Stop right there!" Xana called out to them.
"Sorry Xana, but we got an appointment in the real world, so see ya!" Odd says as they all run off.
"Oh, you really pick the worst times for this!"
Xana and the 'shades' follow after them. At this time a hole blew below the obsidian wall at the warrior's original base and Xana's army pours out as the second entity continues its rampage.
"Stop…now!" Xana commanded them as he surrounded them.
"Let us go! We can settle this another day!" Aelita screamed at him.
"Not today! You have gone too far this time. Activated the program that I tried to keep dormant for so long and now I fear that we are all doomed."
"More reason to let us go. In this time, you can also escape" Ulrich tells him.
"No. This is fitting judgement for all of us. Now we can perish together."
"Not this time" Aelita stared him in the eyes.
"Or the other alternative is you can join me?"
"Never."
"So be it." At this time the second entity arrives and encases Xana. A few lightning strikes also hit him. "Ah! You…fools! You…will…enjoy…my suffering…as well!"
As Xana was being attacked the Lyoko Warriors took off towards their rail line. Eventually a lightning strike broke Xana free from the prison the second entity trapped him in and he took off after the warriors. They arrive at their escape route with a hoard of Xana's monster there. They move through and set up the wind tunnel. They look behind to see the second part of the second entity's plans.
"Ah, I don't want to rush you guys, but the ocean is kinda getting destroyed!" Odd comments as the ocean disappears.
"Must be how the second entity gains the power that Xana was talking about!" Yumi exclaims.
"That only means our time to leave is now!" Aelita relies.
They all get on and take off with Xana behind them.
"Looks like we got company!" Ulrich says.
"X, help us!" Aelita calls out.
"Stop!" Xana calls out.
A lightning bolt strikes as X appears. "Oh no, I don't think so."
"What are you doing? You're helping an apocalypse."
"No, you manipulated me, tricked me, and then betrayed me! Now you're trying to rally others to you by just controlling their brains. And now the second entity you created is here to help out."
"It wasn't me who awakened him!"
"But you created him. It should only obey you."
"It has malfunctioned. I tried to destroy it, but the program is now beyond my reach. And now, the only way I can stop it is to stop that altar!"
Xana tried to head to the altar, but X stopped him. "You want it, you'll have to stop me first."
"You fool! You want to end up like your friend?"
"I watched you kill him…and you spared me, and I listened because I was paralyzed by fear. That fear turned into hate, and this hate will be your downfall. I no longer fear you!"
"Go shades!"
Shades appeared and X was able to blow them all away. "Given up? Your powers have grown weak. Your shades are just as weak."
"Fine I'll deal with you myself."
The two dueled on the bridge that led to the altar. X was stronger than Xana, but even weakened Xana wasn't letting up.
"A strong warrior you were but could never defeat me" Xana says.
"I was your general, but all you did was use me and then cast me aside as I tried to do what was best for you and the warriors" X replies.
"Sometimes in war, you do what's in the best interest for yourself, not others."
"Then this is my final betrayal." X swept Xana's feet and he pushed him off the edge. "And this is payback bitch!"
Xana fell into the ocean. "Hahaha! You think you can kill me! It will be years before you can kill me!" Suddenly the second entity destroys the ocean around Xana, and he gets trapped in an endless vortex of destruction. "What? Noooooooooo!"
The Lyoko Warriors began gaining speed. "Jeremy be ready!" Aelita told them.
Jeremy was able to see the signal. "I'm going to rematerialize you! Rematerialization!"
The Lyoko Warriors disappeared.
The detectives at this time also arrived. "Well, what do we have here?" one asked ad the others climbed down.
"Oh no!" Jeremy cried.
"Son, you're coming with us! You got some explaining to do!"
One of the detectives grabbed his arm and one grabbed the other and the detectives dragged him away. Jeremy was unable to know if he saved his friends or not.
The scanners will all closed and soon they all opened and Odd, Yumi, and Ulrich all fell out, passed out from the experience. Another scanner closed and soon after Aelita appeared and fell out on top of Odd.
After a few minutes they all woke up and went u to the lab to see Jeremy not there.
"Well, talk about Einstein to leave us high and dry" Odd says.
Aelita walked up to the interface and saw Jeremy getting escorted away by the police. "Looks more like law interference. I'll fix this," Aelita says. "Return to the past now!" She presses enter as time is reversed.
X stood alone as the second entity has nearly consumed the world. He saw the sunrise one last time. He knew Xana was defeated here, but as for the warriors the war would rage on. "This sunrise is beautiful. But this is my end too. At least when the second entity finishes, this world will kill it too." He looks at a picture of him and his friend. "I'm coming to see you soon!" Soon everything turned to white before fading to black.
Time was reversed to the day before the police started to investigate. Jeremy awoke in his bed, almost like he woke up from a nightmare. "Was it all a dream?"
He got ready and he headed down to see all his friends at their usual table in the lunchroom.
"Hey Einstein! Rough night?" Odd asks.
"More like a nightmare."
"Okay, for clarification, everything that happened was real. The police, us missing. Aelita just did a jump back in time before everything went down" Yumi tells him.
"We might have to come up with a clever excuse for our repeated absences, so hopefully it will fly with Delmas" Aelita says.
"I more concerned with my parents. Not only was I missing from school, but I was also missing from home" Yumi replies.
"We'll find a way" Ulrich tells her.
"I wonder what happened to X? I just hope he found peace in the afterlife" Aelita says.
The Lyoko Warriors will never have an ally that was allied with Xana and then helped them win against him in the end ever again.
A.N. – And thus ends this short story. The original idea came from a Minecraft Alpha playthrough I saw on YouTube.
