"Don't tell Mom about this." Grape said as her and Peanut walked back home from the park.
"I won't, but you shouldn't tackle him every time he says anything about cats." Peanut lightly reprimanded.
Grape waved him off, "He talks shit and he'll get the claws, he's lucky I didn't aim for his little dick instead."
Peanut huffed, "Please don't, I don't want the police showing up and taking you to the pound."
"Whatever, so where have you been?"
Peanut shrugged, "Just been hanging out with Tarot."
"Oh yeah, did anything fun?"
The brown pointer looked away from the purple feline, "You could say that."
Grape quickly read the subtext of his reply, "You sly dog."
Peanut chuckled from Grape's jab to his arm, "Yeah yeah..."
"So anyways, you up for some Smash Bros. when we get home?" Grape offered.
"Maybe for a little bit, actually I was going to go back to Tarot's house later since we were going to check something out." Peanut shared.
Grape rolled her eyes, "Come on Peanut, you can tell me you just want seconds, I'm not here to judge."
"I-I'm not though, Tarot is looking for something and I just wanted to help." Peanut insisted.
"Uh-huh, sure..."
Peanut stopped in his tracks for a moment, "Actually there's something else going on too."
Grape turned around, "What?"
The canine looked down, "Well uh...there's a chance that Tarot could be...you know..."
Grape scratched her head, "Tarot is what?"
Peanut sighed, "You know...pregnant."
The purple cat froze, "...you serious?"
He nodded, "Maybe."
Grape crossed her arms, "Well I mean...that's something."
"We don't know yet, but she said she's going into heat and well...it could happen." Peanut admitted.
"Huh, you becoming a dad, it's so weird to think about that." Grape mused.
"Again, we'll know soon but until then I won't think about it too much, at least I'll try not to."
Grape smiled and turned around, "Well then, better start reading up on those books on how to raise kids, Dad."
Peanut simply followed her, "You're right."
"So whatever happened between us before, isn't going to be a thing again huh?"
The canine was feeling a little apprehensive to speak of the subject, but felt it was better to talk about it before it got too difficult to discuss.
"I won't lie, I had a lot of fun that one time we you know...snuggled. But now with Tarot saying she might be pregnant, I don't know if it would be healthy for us to do anymore of that sort." Peanut asserted.
The purple feline kicked a pebble down the road, "I guess you're right, it would be awkward to do spicy stuff in the bedroom knowing that you two are expecting. I know Max and Tarot tried it out one time also, but I don't think Max found it that satisfying. Not too sure about Tarot though."
"Tarot actually was okay with it, but uh...those things that Max has..."
Grape snorted, "On his dick?"
"Y-Yeah, it made Tarot kind of sore for the night and I don't think she wants to go through that again." Peanut recalled.
"Probably a dog thing, those things add a certain zest to our special time, but I understand that it's not for everyone."
Peanut nodded, "Anyways, at least for now I think we should keep it PG between us, we can do stuff like hugging and kissing, but the other stuff we should hold off on."
Grape shrugged, "Fine by me, guess that means Max has a monopoly with me, unless you guys change your mind."
"That'll be something that Tarot and I will talk about at some point."
The cat teased him by shaking her hips around, "Okay, but don't go barging in my room as soon as you get blue balls."
Later that evening, Peanut returned to Tarot's house ready for whatever awaited him.
He knocked on the door, "Tarot? You here?"
The door opened to reveal Sabrina, "She's up in her room, she's all tuckered out."
"Oh, I'll come back later then."
The cat shook her head, "It's fine, I'll wake her up, you can come inside."
Peanut sat down on the suspiciously sticky couch, "Huh, I don't remember Tarot and I doing anything here..."
After a few minutes a sleepy Tarot emerged from upstairs, "Hey honey."
"Hey Tarot, you feeling better?"
Tarot yawned and rubbed her eyes, "Yeah, a little bit."
Peanut hugged her, "You ready to go out and...wait a second."
He took a deep whiff and sniffed around Tarot's body, "Did you and Sabrina-"
She nodded, "We did."
Peanut's eyes lit up, "Really?"
"Well you left and I was still really needy so Sabrina helped me out." Tarot explained.
"Oh...so she helped you feel better then?" Peanut asked.
The Pomeranian smiled, "Somewhat."
"I guess that's good." Peanut replied feeling a little unsure on how to make it of the situation.
"If it's any consolation, you can't really be replaced by her hands." Tarot assured.
Tarot hugged him tightly, "I'm sorry, my heat has been getting stronger since this morning, at this rate you have to do me almost all day to keep me satisfied."
Peanut patted her head, "It's okay, I understand."
"Besides, I have something to tell you."
"What is it?"
Tarot sighed, "Well, you know Spirit Dragon right?"
"I do."
"She is going to help us find the shard, and in exchange I am allowing her to snuggle with you." Tarot explained.
Peanut looked at her somewhat in shock, "Huh?"
"Don't worry, it may sound a little weird to mate with a deity like her, but she'll fix that, trust me."
"O-Okay?"
Tarot held his hand, "It'll be something new for you, besides I'm not going to be one-sided about it."
"If it's about that, I don't care about it really, you let Max have his fun with you before, I get it." Peanut said.
"Either way, I want you to explore the opportunities that most mortals don't get."
Peanut awkwardly smiled, "Thanks, I think."
Tarot stood up on her tippy toes and smooched his cheek, "I still very much love you Peanut, don't think otherwise just because of what happens."
"I love you too Tarot."
Peanut and Tarot shared a long, deep kiss as Sabrina watched on with an amused expression.
Peanut, Sabrina, and Tarot sat together at the dinner table in the kitchen with an old map sprawled out on it.
"So this place is really called the Mysterious Halloween Forest?" Peanut asked.
"Mystic Hallowed Forest." Sabrina corrected.
For a second the canine had a dejected look on his face, "Aww, I was ready to get my costume from last year."
"Being a mutant ninja turtle isn't exactly what I call appropriate for seeking something ancient." Tarot pointed out.
"But I would look so cool! Whoever's in that forest would not mess with us seeing me like that." Peanut insisted.
"Whatever you say Donatello." Sabrina snarked.
"Anyways, Spirit Dragon will provide us illumination through the forest since it will be very dark. It'll be up to us to find the shard and bring it back here." Tarot explained.
"Okay, sounds simple enough; we just follow the path, dodge the bad guys, and make it out in one piece." Peanut laid out.
"Emphasis on dodging bad guys." Tarot marked.
Peanut pretended to throw a punch, "Don't worry Tarot, I'll be your Spot."
Both Sabrina and Tarot giggled at his playful display, "Come on Peanut, let's be serious, this isn't just a simple walk in the woods."
"I mean, the forest doesn't look that big on the map, so it shouldn't take us that long to find the shard right?" Peanut questioned.
"I've never been to the forest before, I had no reason to visit until now, so I can't say for sure if the map is accurate or not. Either way, it is best that we exercise caution for anything that may reside there." Tarot again warned.
"You guys have anything in this house that might help us?" Peanut then asked.
"Well, there is one thing." Sabrina suggested.
"We don't need to resort to it." Tarot quickly interjected.
"Might come in handy though, besides Peanut has nothing else to defend himself with." Sabrina pointed out.
The pointer's ear raised up, "What exactly is it?"
Tarot shuffled her hands together, "It belongs to Spirit Dragon, it's an orb that temporarily grants her powers to the user in an emergency."
"Oh, well that sounds like it'll be useful for me." Peanut concurred.
"However, the user loses a degree of self-control during use and may cause injury to themselves or others as a result."
"I'll be fine Tarot, you can count on me to keep myself from getting into trouble with it." Peanut asserted.
Sabrina nudged Tarot's shoulder, "Come on hon, you wouldn't want to leave Peanut defenseless in case things go south over there right?"
Tarot frowned, "I know, but-"
Peanut held her hand, "Just believe in me Tarot, I won't hurt you or myself."
The Pomeranian finally relented after seeing the resolve in his eyes, "I'll trust you, just please promise me that you'll keep yourself from going out of control."
"I will."
