Author Notes: Just wanted to let you know, Ranma's not stupid in this story as a few people seem to think, he's just simply ignorant of a lot of things having been on the road most of his life with a dad who's sole interest was raising him to be a martial artist. Also, just so everyone's clear, this is just a story and I'm not trying to push politics or what ever about abortion, it's brought up because its the very real outcome to many young pregnancies around the world, Sachiko choose not to do it for her own reasons, and because well, if she did then we'd not have much of a story now would we.
Disclaimer: I don't own any of the Ranma characters or story.
Chapter 6
Sachiko awoke to Akane's blaring alarm clock, wishing she once again could have her own room, or at least share the one with Nodoka who somehow got up early without an alarm every morning. Putting her pillow over her head while Akane got ready for her morning jog and exercise. Hoping to get another hour of sleep before her own alarm would go off, she laid her head back down on her pillow once Akane left the room. Unfortunately for her, images of Ranma kept interrupting her slumber, and her brain letting her know she was now all alone in the room weren't helping.
Thirty minutes later in the bath room she was getting washed up and ready for the day. 'Great self control you have there…" she thought while glowering at her reflection in the mirror. As she finished up she wondered how Ranma was doing, as he hadn't appeared last night for studying and she'd only heard a few shouts from the room while bathing with Mirei. Mirei at least was happy she got to see the Panda again before bed time, but also dismayed that said Panda couldn't actually read her a book.
Arriving at the classroom that Monday morning, Sachiko waived to her friends while sneaking a peek at Ranma, who had headed off before the rest of them, which both girls where honestly thankful for. He was sitting in his seat talking to Yotaro, but stopped when he noticed Yotaro looking at her as she came in the door, though they soon quickly dropped back into conversation. Taking her seat and putting her bag away, she was quickly deep in conversation with her friends about the weekend martial arts battles and Ranma's father finally showing up.
It wasn't until second period that Sachiko noticed something odd about Ranma's behavior, not that she would ever admit to watching him, he was just, in her line of sight to the teacher, of course. He had looked at and followed the teacher before, their terribly boring math teacher, but once Ms. Fujimiya had arrived for social studies, he'd kept his eyes on his book and notes. At lunch time he seemed to jump out of the classroom and headed to the usual spot he'd eat with Daisuke and other boys.
"Staring so hard at your brother is going to start raising some questions Sachi-chan, not that I can blame you, half the girls in class are crushing on him still." Achika said in between bites of food while they sat under their usual tree.
"Something's going on with him, did you see how he wouldn't look at Ms. Fujimiya today, the whole class he kept his head in the textbook or writing notes." Sachiko responded, not rising to the ribbing.
"You said his dad showed up this weekend, but I wouldn't think that would matter, did anything else happen?" Make asked.
Sachiko's blush was all that was needed to signal to the other girls that something else had Definitely happened, Their Cheshire grins making Sachiko groan as she knew they weren't going to accept no for an answer now.
"Look, it wasn't a big deal, when we came back home Sunday Akane stopped suddenly in front of us cause his dad was a Panda at the moment, which caused us all the bump into each other and I kinda pulled Akane's dress down as I fell on her, and then as he helped me up I kind of fell into his lap which was...embarrassing for reasons…" Sachiko says with a blush.
"So you gave him a free show, and then felt the response from said show and you all got embarrassed? Pfft, I've read raunchier stuff in children's manga's." Achika says, clearly wanting something more lurid.
"The only other odd thing was he came down to dinner afterwards in his girl form, and later stayed like that afterwards, asking for mom cause he wasn't feeling well." Sachiko added with a shrug.
"So, your brother who's also kinda a sister is being weird, not that interesting. But...when you were in his lap, you think he's had a growth spurt there since your junior high rendezvous?" Mako said, using her hands as if to measure, looking at Sachiko to tell her if she had the right size or not.
Far to use to her friend's antics, Sachiko just rubs the bridge of her nose as she replies. "Damn it Mako, if you want to find out just go flash him yourself." Which she instantly regretted saying. "Wait no, don't you dare.." but it was a lost cause as the two girls had already disappeared in their quest to find out.
"Hey, uh Sis, are your friends…" Ranma pauses, trying to think of a polite way to phrase his question.
"Being idiots? Yes...yes they are." Sachiko replies as they are walking home together. Ranma currently female after getting hit by cold water from the water cooler in the office, which also just happened to be broken when he was trying to refill his thermos.
"I was going to say...clumsy. They kept falling over or dropping things all day. I think Daisuki might of gotten hit as he had to go to the nurse's office cause of a nose bleed." Ranma says thinking of the last half of the school day and the girls odd behavior.
"Nope, their just dumb horny teenage girls. I'm sorry their bothering you, I tried to tell them to knock it off." She says apologetically.
"They were doing it on purpose? And whats "horny" mean, Daisuke and Hiroshi say it some times, but I barely understand half the slang they use even after mom's help." Ranma asks.
Sachiko, now use to Ranma's ignorance didn't even trip at the question, and just cursed under her breath that she'd probably have to answer it because she brought it up. "Well, it generally means someone who's, lusting after someone, or just thinking about sex. So I called my friends that because they are boy crazy, and tend to spend way too much time thinking about doing...it. But you can also use it to describe yourself or others that are aroused, like say you see a really beautiful girl in a skimpy bathing suit, most guys would be pretty horny right then. Usually people try to hide it, guys cover themselves and girl's wouldn't want to be touched." She did her best to explain, as quiet as she could be while they walked down the street.
"Oh, so that's what happened yesterday!" Ranma blurted out, finally having some words to better describe it, though sadly realizing too late he'd just said it in front of Sachiko.
Sachiko blushed at first, but something in the back of her head was putting one and one together and still getting three. Ranma was aroused obviously when he went upstairs, but then he came down looking confused and jittery as a female a while later, but he never left his room.
"Ranma, what happened yesterday...after we all ran to our rooms. Why did you come down all shaken and confused looking for dinner as a girl, then later you asked for mom?" She asked, not sure even she would answer.
Ranma turned red, and his minds first thought was to run away, but something inside him said it was okay to trust Sachiko. "Uhm...well, you know I was...aroused as a boy. But I couldn't get it to stop by just thinking of other stuff, so I figured if I turned into a girl it would, go away." He said with a shrug.
"Instead, it made it WAY worse, like, my whole body was sensitive and I could barely move at first without more strange feelings. I was scared, and not really sure what to do, so I thought maybe its like a sore muscle or charlie horse, just rub the worst spots and it would get better." Ranma continued.
"Wait...you didn't…" Sachiko says, putting a hand over her mouth as she begins to realize what happened.
"Uh well, mom called it an orgasm? Said it was like when we did...that ultimate technique, only now I was a girl." Ranma finished, finding the concrete exceptionally interesting in this part of town.
"Fucking hell…" was all Sachiko said for the next minute as they walked.
Finally, getting over the shock she asks him. "So...which is better, as a guy or as a girl?"
"Huh, as a guy?"
"Yea...when your a guy and you do what you did as a girl, just..you know, on your…"
"I uh...have never done that, pops told me bad stuff would happen if I did..." Ranma replied, once again frustrated at his father's lies.
"Double fucking hell Ranma, how in the world have you never done that as a guy? It's like...instinctual for boys I thought. I mean, what have you been doing for the last 4 years when you got aroused as a boy?" She said, looking at him like he was crazy.
"I mean, it's been four years of roughing it with my dad, who would just yell at me if he saw it. There was the Amazon village but I figured they were trying to start a fight, thanks to someone's "martial arts school" and so ran away and waited for it to go away, they have some very bad customs around fighting there for outsiders. I figured it was just either a self defense method from your "training" or just something annoying that eventually went away." Ranma replied harshly at Sachiko.
Taken aback by his tone, Sachiko felt guilty for her role in this mess. "I'm...I'm sorry about that. I was just a dumb lonely girl back then, and didn't really think about how it might affect you…"
Ranma also realized he'd scared Sachiko, seeing her shirk away from him. "Sorry, sorry, I'm an idiot. I don't know about any of this stuff thanks to pops and now it all feels so...alien. Especially now that I have this whole girl body thing happening" He says with a frown motioning to his own body as he stands still in on the side walk.
"You're, you're not an idiot Ranma" Sachiko's expression darkening at the use of that word. "Like you said, you father didn't really teach you any of it, so we can't expect you to know anything. Though look on the bright side, Mirei LOVES your ability to be a magical girl" She finishes with a smile.
'She's still really cute when she smiles' Ranma's brain thinks, triggering certain reactions through out his body to his dismay. Crossing his arms over his ample chest he replies. "Ha ha...yea, its getting a bit worrying though, are there really that many books about red heads and pandas?"
Sachiko chuckles lightly at the question. "Papella has been around for ages, I doubt you'll get through them all, there's even anime and movies."
Ranma grimaces at the news as they take the last turn before they see the gate to the Tendo's Dojo ahead of them. "Hey...could I uh...talk to you tonight. In private?" Ranma asks, a little shocked he did.
"Uhm, sure, where should I meet you?" Sachiko asks, a little taken aback by the sudden request.
"Just in the back yard, I'll find ya." Ranma replies as they head inside and announce their arrival.
"Ranma?" Sachiko calls, looking around the back yard and not seeing anyone there. As a breeze blew by she was glad she'd gotten her fuzzy white sweater from her room after getting Mirei to bed as it was a cool spring night.
"Be right down." Ranma said from above.
Sachiko watched as the boy slid down the tiles like it was second nature, flipping at the last moment to land next to her, with barely a sound made. He was wearing his normal Red silk sleeveless shirt and loose black pants. While she'd been getting use to his acrobatics his close landing still made her reflexively jump back a step.
Now that Ranma was down next to her, he realized a problem in his plan, he needed to get her up to the roof. "Uhm...do you mind sitting with me, on the roof? I always think better when I'm up high and can see the stars." He asked while playing with his ponytail.
"Oh sure." She replied, before her brain caught up and tried to ask "But how are we...eeeppp!"
Ranma scooped her up and leaped on to the roof, then one more hop and they were up to the crest where he helped her sit down. Her embarrassment at the bridal carry just before was forgotten as she looked out at the evening skyline, on this clear night she could even see the school clock tower and the train station's bright lights. Seeing her taking in the view he sat down also and gave her some time to enjoy it.
"Wow, its a beautiful view up here." She remarked with a smile after she was done enjoying the panoramic view.
Ranma blushed at her smile. "Yea, though there's too much light in the cities, can barely make out any of the stars or constellations." Ranma lamented, gesturing at the few stars that were visible.
Following his hand, she also looked up at the sky to see the few shining stars. "Yea, I've heard if you are in the wilderness you can see more." She replied.
"Yea, I've always felt some comfort from seeing the stars, for a long time as a kid I thought they were just out of reach, like if I could just jump higher, I could touch one." Ranma said whimsically.
Sachiko gives a small giggle at hearing that. "Mirei wants me to put them in a bottle, so they can be in her room as a night light."
After a minute of star watching, Ranma turns to Sachiko and opens his mouth, but after nothing comes out he closes it, a worried look on his face as he tries to figure out what he wants to say. Sachiko turns to see him struggling, and says. "It's okay to ask what you want Ranma, just don't always expect an answer, okay?"
Ranma feeling some reassurance, finally got his question out. "Could you tell me about what happened after I left? Mom said you showed up here at the Tendo's, and that you meet with the vice principal every month because of your parents?"
Sachiko could feel her heart beating in her chest and her throat dry up. She brought her knees up closer to her and rested her head on them.
"Uhm, uh, you don't have too…" Ranma tried to say, seeing how she immediately seemed upset at the question.
"No…" Sachiko manged to get out, slightly rocking her head side to side. "You should know."
"After you left, things went back to normal for a while. School, club, studying, that kind of stuff. It wasn't until about two months later that I started feeling sick and my mom took me to the doctors. They took some samples, and said they'd run some test, you know, boring doctor stuff." She pauses and unclinches her fist which she had been doing subconsciously, letting blood flow back into them before once again wrapping them around her legs.
"So yea, the next day I'm called to the office at school, my mom is furious and marches me down to a clinic I'd never been too, won't even talk to me. It wasn't until we were in the examination room that I was told I was there to have an exam before they could perform an abortion." Tears began to drip onto her pants but her voice was monotone as she ran through the memories, staring out at the city skyline.
"I must of passed out at hearing that, as the next thing I remember is waking up on the exam table, a nurse was there checking me, and my mom was yelling at the doctor to just go ahead and do it. Eventually they got her out of the room so the doctor could talk to me, let me know it was in the end my decision, my parents couldn't force me to do it. I don't remember much else, I don't think I even said anything, eventually I was back home and both my parents were just yelling and screaming a bunch."
Sachiko was shaking as tears rolled down her face and Ranma had no idea what to do. Thinking about how his mom had held him though recently when he was having a hard time, he slowly moved next to Sachiko and put his around her back and his hand lightly on her shoulder. As if he had pushed a button though, she took her arm and put it around him and seemed to collapse into his side, resting her head on his chest and shoulder. Ranma felt uncomfortable, but simply tried to adjust himself to better support the weight and waited for her to continue.
"Thanks" She said, wiping her eyes before curling back up and resting against him after a minute.
"No...problem." Ranma replies, feeling goosebumps on his skin from the close contact.
"The next couple months I was just a prisoner in my house. My parents took me out of school, said they were "home schooling" me, but that was a lie. I couldn't go anywhere without them, and I wasn't allowed anywhere really either. Every week they'd take something away if I didn't agree to get rid of the baby, clothes, posters, my bed, eventually my room was just bare. When that didn't work after a few months...my dad...started to hit me."
Sachiko pauses, feeling as if she's going to be sick just thinking about her father. She starts to feel surprisingly warm though, and looking over at Ranma she's shocked to see his face is a mixture of anger and revulsion, looking like he might throw up himself, while around them his battle aura was a visible red and black flame.
"Ranma?" Sachiko asks worriedly.
"I...I should have been there, stupid pops with his stupid China trip…" Ranma says, the aura flaring redder.
"Ranma...we were thirteen, do you really think your father would have wanted me to keep Mirei also?" Sachiko asked him.
Ranma's aura faded from the red, back to almost black before starting to show some green tinges. "I...I don't know, but pops and I defend the weak, and he's never hit me just to hurt me." Ranma replied with uncertainty, what would his father might have done running through his mind.
"Adults...tend to let you down in my experience." Sachiko replied, wiping more tears from her eyes. Ranma didn't have a reply to that, as it was all too true for him also.
After some time to compose herself again, Sachiko took a deep breath before continuing her story. "I knew I couldn't stay at home anymore, I had to get out and try to find you. So after about a week, I managed to sneak away when my mom was having a nap after lunch. I had nothing on me but my pajama's and slippers, and was just walking aimlessly at first. But after half an hour, I ran into your friend Ryoga, he seemed as lost as usual." Sachiko gave a small smile at that.
"Ryoga? I haven't seen him in forever…" Ranma stated, surprised his old friend would be involved in this.
"Yea, well, once he got over me being obviously pregnant at this point, I told him what happened and I needed to find you but had no idea where to look. I helped get him back to his house where we could at least look up things in a phone book. The phonebook he had was ancient though, and I didn't know your moms name so we wound up just been calling blindly. But Ryoga thought about your martial art's schools name and we looked for "Anything Goes" and found the Tendo's dojo listed, but the phone number didn't work, but the listing had an address."
"So, off we headed to the train station, as it was about a two hour trip to get to Nerima. But we soon found out how Japan views a young pregnant teenager and we were called all sorts of names, Ryoga too as they figured he had to be the father. He just about passed out at that, I wonder if he's gotten any better with his shyness." Sachiko cracks a small smile at the memory of the poor boy being accused of being a father and his face turning bright red.
"Anyway, he ended up just carrying me and roof hopping all the way to Nerima, took us about four hours I think, it was getting dark by the time we made it and started trying to find the Dojo itself. I made the mistake though of letting go of his hand at some point, and next thing I knew, he was gone." Sachiko finished, raising her head up and looking at Ranma, tears seeming to have stopped for now.
"Yea, it use to take me all afternoon to find him again if that happened, I swear he just disappears or something." Ranma replied with a nod.
"Thankfully I was only a few blocks from the Tendo's and managed to find it quickly and ring the bell, to which Kasumi answered and brought me inside so I could explain things. She could tell I was injured somehow I think, didn't even ask me my name at first and just brought me inside. If you can believe it, she was quite the little homemaker back then, having to take care of her sisters and the house herself before your mom took over."
"The Tendo's freaked out a bit at first, Soun was crying and kept talking about the promise being ruined. Akane gave me a disgusted look too, she was having problems with the boys at school so the idea I had done...that, really upset her. Thankfully Kasumi and Nabiki kind of took over and managed to find mom's number in the family Rolodex. It took a while to explain what was going on, but she got here that night. The next morning she got Grandma involved and they argued a bunch, but thanks to her lawyers I don't ever have to be with my biological parents ever again in exchange for them not going to jail and dragging things into court."
"I'm glad mom helped, the lady at the park today made it sound like everyone would just be yell'n at ya." Ranma replied.
"Ranma, how old do you think your mom is?" Sachiko asked Ranma with a small smirk.
"Uh, I dunno, I'm not even really sure how old pops is, we didn't really do birthdays." Ranma replies.
"She just turned thirty four Ranma. You're dads a little bit older but I'm not sure of how much." Sachiko told him.
"Wait, but if she's thirty four now, and I'm seventeen, she had me when she was 17?" Ranma says a bit startled at the news.
"Well, technically you were born just a few months after her seventeenth brithday, she met your father when she was 15. So she was more than familiar with what I was going through in some ways, and I'm pretty sure its the reason Grandma and her don't get along. From what she's told me, if it wasn't for the sake of her grandchild, you, mom probably would have been kicked out of the family and would have had to travel with your dad, instead they got the little house for her and put her in a kinda exiled state, wouldn't even let her sister visit her, not until I showed up and they had to talk again."
"Geeze, Grandma seems kinda harsh, did she yell at you too?" Ranma asked worriedly.
"No, Grandma is very sweet with me and Mirei, I wonder if she regrets what happened before, but she'll not admit to it, and mom doesn't really want to talk with her if she can. From what I know that side of the family is very well off, so mom kinda married down to be with your dad. Grandma actually told me your dad took her last name, not the other way a round."
"You said mom had a sister, does that mean I got cousin's and stuff too?" Ranma asked, wondering how big of a family he really had after so much time with just pops.
"Not yet, though your Aunt Saki is baby crazy and totally dotes on Mirei, but as far as I'm aware she's not had a boyfriend since I met her." Sachiko replies. "She's got a sword similar to your mom's though she carry's everywhere, so I imagine most guys are a bit scared by that."
Ranma thought briefly about being able to learn from both them the sword stuff his mom had hit him with earlier, a smile on his face, before turning to look at Sachiko who was still holding onto him. He wondered how she had been through all that, but come out so nice, and pretty, and she smelled wonderful. 'Crap...what am I thinking?' Ranma thought after those things went through his head, and starting to feel his body react he blushed.
As Sachiko finished a breeze blew by and she pulled herself into him for some warmth before realizing what she was doing. Before she could pull away though Ranma seemed to tense before holding her closer himself. It just felt so good, the strength holding her close to him, his body heat warming her through the light sweater, the feeling of his muscles through the silk shirt. As she held her head against his chest, she heard something strange though. 'Is...is he purring?' she wondered.
Both teens seemed lost in time for a bit until they turned to each other, as their eyes met, they both wondered what should they do now. But before either could come to a conclusion, a loud crash was heard from the Dojo and the two teens broke free to turn around and look down from the roof.
Running out of the Dojo was Genma, shrieking and trying to get his Gi top back in place after it looks to have been ripped off, one arm socket completely torn apart. Right behind him was a tall woman with green hair wearing some sort of a Chinese cheongsam, only along with the long slit up the sides, the chest was a deep v-cut and the side of the top were removed showing ample amount of the woman's body. It was colored mostly a red and green though it was hard to make out in the dark. She seemed to be armed with two claw like weapons in her hands.
"Oh shit, she found us!" Ranma says startled. "Stay here, I'll be back once I can but its safer up here."
Ranma quickly jumps back down to the back yard entrance to the house, as he's landing he can see his father has picked up the table and is using it to keep the woman away. But before Ranma can say anything he's bowled over from behind by a blur of purple and pink. "Oooof" "Aiyaaah" the pair exclaim as they hit the floor.
"Future-Husband, submit now, I go easy on you." The Green haired woman shouted at Genma. Nodoka and Nabiki who were looking out from the kitchen turned to look at Genma, Nodoka also reaching for something behind her.
"Foundaxin, I already told you I'm a married man!" Genma yelled, waving the table around to keep her at bay.
"Husband! You care to explain yourself?" Nodoka says, walking out of the kitchen with her sword and scabbard.
"Mom! Don't fight her!" Ranma yells out to her while trying to untangle himself from the girl with purple hair on the floor.
"Ah good, obstacle isn't too too weak, I no feel bad smashing" The green haired woman says taking up a stance towards Nodoka. Nodoka pulled out her blade to defend herself and Nabiki if needed, but before she could reply, she was cut off as a round mace was suddenly implanted into the side of her opponent's skull. The purple haired girl walking over to pick it back up shortly after.
Looking around the room after picking up her weapon and seeing the stairs from everyone she turns towards the most senior woman in the room and introduces herself. "I am Shampoo of the Joketsuzoku, sorry about this." She says with a deep bow.
Sheathing her sword, she walks over to Genma and grabs his ear after he finishes putting the table back down. "Dear, would you care to explain why that woman was calling you her future-husband?" she says in a tone that was not at all thrilled with this news.
"Ha ha...funny story that." Genma says nervously… "You see it all started a long time ago with my parents who had a little boy.." He began, employing the Anything Goes Long Winded Walrus move, "Delay the story to extend ones life" being a critical technique in the Anything goes repertoire.
"May I?" Ranma asks the purple haired girl, pointing at one of her maces. She nods and hands him one, which he promptly sends into Genma's face.
"He was going to take forever mom, Shampoo can explain it better, I need to get Sachiko off the roof." He says as he heads back outside.
'The roof, why would she and Ranma be up...ooohhhh' Nodoka's thoughts being slightly derailed at the thought until she perceived the girl her son called Shampoo sitting down at the table after finishing tying up the older woman.
"Foundaxin is old maid, she trying use old Amazon ways to get husband. But council already tell her she can't, so she leave village to chase Ranma lazy father." Shampoo says, hoping her Japanese hasn't gotten worse since Ranma left.
"What are these Amazon ways?" Nodoka asks, puzzled by all this. The rest of the house starting to have come down now that the fighting seems to have ended and are filling in around the table, Mirei comes over and crawls into Nodoka's lap, looking very sleepy.
"It old custom, where is outsider man beat amazon, amazon give kiss of marriage, if outsider woman, kiss of death. It suppose to be formal challenge, but Foundaxin always just surprise attack to get lazy father to fight her, then she throw match. Elders not happy, so tell her it no count." Shampoo explained to the group.
Ranma lands in at the back entrance with a small yelp at the drop coming from Sachiko. "Sorry about that." He says to her as he lets her down from the hold. She looks around to see the green haired woman and Genma both knocked out and the Purple haired girl sitting at the table. Following Ranma in she takes a seat next to him with Shampoo around the table to his other side. Both Shampoo and Akane are staring at the two, which isn't lost on Nodoka as she looks at Sachiko's face, seeing the signs that she had been crying recently.
"Ranma, why were you and your father in this village?" Nodoka asks her son returning to the problem at hand.
"I met Shampoo a few months into our trip, she was with her great grandmother Cologne who's one of the elders of their tribe and was running some errand in a neighboring village. I could see she was a fighter after she defeated two twins, so asked to spar since I was bored. It was really fun and they invited me to their village. Pretty much when ever pops got in trouble with the law or just ran out of money I'd stay there and got to learn all sorts of stuff." Ranma said with a smile at the good memories.
"Shampoo...did anyone challenge Ranma while he was there?" Nodoka looking a little worried at the problems that could bring.
"Many challenged him, but Great Grandma said there something special about Ranma, so no kisses allowed, have to get him old fashioned way." Shampoo said with sour look, then with a bit of annoyance and rolling her eyes added "Not that it ever work…"
Nodoka breathed a sigh of relief at the news. "Do you plan to take her back to your tribe then?" she asked Shampoo.
"Not me, Great Grandmother send her back with some others, I stay and study and help Great Grandmother opening restaurant. I take her back tonight." Shampoo explained.
"Hey, that's great, we'll get to spar some more, and maybe Cologne will finally teach me some of those secret moves." Ranma says with a smile at Shampoo, who blushes lightly. "I wonder if you'll go to our school too."
"Elder say I go to Furiken, in second grade." Shampoo responds, hoping she got the name right.
"Awesome! You'll be in Akane's grade, and there will be another martial artist to practice with. Her dad teaches the other part of the Anything Goes school." Ranma says, pointing to the girl across the table. Shampoo sizes her up as a martial artist, curious if she's as good as Ranma is. Noticing Akane's unhappy look at Sachiko and Ranma, she wonders what the relationship is between the three.
"Ranma, as happy for you to have met your old friend, its still quite late and you've got school in the morning. Could you help get Mirei back in bed." Nodoka said, motioning to the now sleeping girl in her lap.
Snapped out of his thoughts of new techniques to learn and the future spars to have, he looked over and saw Mirei sleeping sprawled across Nodoka. "Oh, yea, let me get her for ya." He replied, standing up and gently picking her up until she was resting her head on his shoulder. Waving back to Shampoo with a smile he headed upstairs.
"Akane, can you help me get my husband back to the Dojo, I'll get him back in his bed if you can just help me get him there. Shampoo do you need any help with her?" Nodoka asked, looking at the passed out Amazon on their floor.
"Is no problem, just a few minutes to our restaurant from here." Shampoo said, picking up on the suggestion that it was time to go for the night, throwing Foundaxin over her shoulder. "We are sorry the disturbance, once restaurant open we treat all to too too good noodle." She said with a small bow and then jumped to the roof and off into the night. Great Grandmother would be very interested to know that Ranma had found his mother, and it looked to be a younger sister even from the color of the little girls hair.
Later that evening, after everyone was in bed, a small meeting was being held in the eldest Tendo sister's room, Sachiko and the other sisters were all in attendance, their topic was of course the new purple haired girl and her mysterious relationship with Ranma.
"So I'm not the only one that thought Ranma was acting totally weird around her right? He can barely talk to most girls, hold a conversation with us for a bit, but he was treating her like his best friend." Nabiki asks the group.
"You saw her eye roll too right, when she said they couldn't just challenge him and then wham bam, married." Akane followed up. "She's probably just as bad as the boys were at school and I doubt he was putting up a fight." Her fist clenched and righteous anger in her eyes.
"I doubt that, when we were on the roof, he said he'd been fighting them off due to my "martial arts" school. It definitely sounds like they've been trying to get to him, but well…he had no idea what was going on." Sachiko said, hoping to calm Akane.
"What were you doing on the roof with your dear brother, Sachi-chan?" Nabiki asks with a smile.
"He...he wanted to know what happened after he left." Sachiko said, pulling her legs up to herself. Nabiki's face going from a smiling tease to an ashamed look at the realization of what that meant.
"Oh dear, what did you do?" Kasumi asked, scooting closer to the girl to give her a hug.
"I told him, about my parents, about escaping, running into Ryoga and finding your house." She replies, leaning on Kasumi.
The room was silent for a bit, until Akane asked what was on all three of the sisters minds. "How...did he respond to it."
"He was upset, probably wanted to pummel my parents if he could. He was surprised at Ryoga's help, so I guess they haven't run into each other still. Then we just kind of held each other for a bit and talked about his family, until Shampoo showed up." Sachiko tells them, trying to hide a blush as she yawns after finishing.
While Kasumi and Nabiki share a look between each other, Akane seems to still be focused on the purple haired girl.
"Ugh, I can't believe she's going to be in my grade too, hopefully not the same class. We don't need any more boy crazy girls." Akane said with a look of disgust.
"Oh no...another girl who likes boys…" Nabiki says rolling her eyes. "Akane, when are you just going to admit you're not into boys so we can drop the pretenses." Giving Akane a stare with a raised eyebrow.
"WHAT, just cause I think the boys at school are dumb doesn't mean I automatically like girls Nabiki." Akane replies indignantly.
"Sure sure sure, and when was the last time you thought about a boy again?" Nabiki asked snarkily.
Akane's face glowed bright red. "That's none of your business, unlike you and Kasumi, I have an ounce of decency." She said while crossing her arms and looking away from her sisters.
"Sure, but just so you know, Ranma's "female" body doesn't count." Nabiki said, watching her little sister give her a death glare in response.
Kasumi, hoping to get away from her sisters usual bickering looked down at the girl in her arms and asked her. "Do you think Ranma has feelings for Shampoo?"
Sachiko snorted, but then looked a bit morose. "No, he mentioned that the whole time he was there, he was fighting them off because of my "martial arts" school. Though I think he was more angry that I lied to him than what that could mean. He's...He's just so damn innocent that dumb lies make him more angry than people actively ruining his life like his father." Suddenly burying her face into her knee's as she realizes what she said. "..and...me…"
Kasumi gives an exasperated sigh. "Sachiko, that boy is lucky as hell to have a girl like you in his life at all. You saved his dumb ass from the crazy suicide pact his parents had, got his mom out of her crazy depression, and you've got a ridiculously cute little girl you get to raise together. You've literally given him a home to come back to after all those years with his father, who honestly sounds like some cartoon villain for all the stupid plans we've heard about. Not to mention saved the three of us from some atrocious engagement plan our fathers came up with. So no self deprecating is allowed here tonight." She said with a tone that said she wasn't looking for an argument.
Sachiko was quiet for a bit before she started to laugh, harder and harder until she was laying back on the ground.
"What's so funny Sachi-chan?" Nabiki asked the girl trying to keep herself quiet in the middle of a laughing fit.
"Sorry…" Sachiko squeaked out between laughs, trying to get herself under control. "I just thought...what if Ranma had been engaged to Nabiki…" falling back to the floor and doing her best to be quiet.
Akane and Kasumi both looked at their sister before looking away and having to hold in their laughter. Nabiki herself was looking at the three girls in the room and wondering just what kind of revenge she'd enact on them.
"Ha Ha Ha...very funny. At least I'd be putting that impressive...specimen...to good use. With protection of course." She said, staring down her sisters.
"Oh please, you know how to handle a dick about as well as you do an empty bank account." Kasumi retorted, rolling her eyes at her sisters false confidence.
"Saying the girl who has to get a nursing degree just to treat the boys she takes to bed." Nabiki snipes back.
Akane and Sachiko, realizing they were about to be ground zero for another of Kasumi's and Nabiki's arguments about their love lives smartly ducked out and returned to Akane's room for the night.
