CHAPTER 4
"So, you actually talked to D!?" spoke ICY BLONDE, surprised. "It wasn't easy." Replied TRIG who was sitting on the same bed as ICY BLONDE. "I think he's a nice guy Tia, I
mean, I tried to seduce him, but he didn't bother falling for any of it. Unless he's gay." She said while laughing at the end. TRIG rolled her eyes when she said D was gay.
"But, see? I told you to try talking to him." Said ICY BLONDE. "Who knows, maybe during the next mission, something will spark between you two if you both wind up
together." She joked. "I doubt that." TRIG replied confidently. "I'm probably going to be placed somewhere to provide support." She continued. "Oh, have some faith Tia."
Said ICY BLONDE while sighing. "If only I didn't open the door to your room that day, you and BUG SRPAY would've gotten it on." TRIG simply ignored this. "What's going with
you two anyways?" asked ICY BLONDE. "I don't know, it's just. Not going anywhere right now." Answered TRIG, finding it hard to come up with the words to even describe
their relationship right now. "You mean, ever since D came into the picture, you found yourself more attracted to him than Othis." Said ICY BLONDE with a smirk on her face.
TRIG didn't answer while ICY BLONDE laughed.
The next day, the team got suited up as they were less than 30 minutes away from their destination. DAUGHTERY divided the unit into two teams since the ship had 3 levels.
The first team was BUG SPRAY as the captain of the first squad, with him was CHASE, SHOCK JOCK, KHARON, and GUN FODDER. The second group had MECH on point, and
his team was CHOW, RATZASS, TRIG, HOLYMAN and D. The first team was to clear and secure the landing zone of any bugs then check the first floor of any survivors. The
second team was to check the two floors and for any survivors or bugs and report back as soon as they can. The ship wasn't as big as it looked when the unit looked at the
pictures when they approached the ship. From one side the ship looked perfectly normal, but when they made their way towards the docking area, it was swarmed with bugs.
"Still think there's survivors?" asked RATZASS who opened fire at the bugs. The rest of the unit followed with them shooting at the bugs who simply screamed at them while
moving around. The ship hovered over the docking station while K-12 killed most of the bugs that were there. The first group stepped foot on the ship first, scouting and
securing the area. About nine minutes later, the second team was told to go and look for survivors in the other two floors above them. "Watch your back team two, let's get in
and out ASAP." Spoke BUG SPRAY. "Roger that team one, good hunting." Said MECH. The second floor had MECH, CHOW and RATZASS scouting the area while TRIG, HOLY
MAN and D looked around the last floor. The area was quite wide and looked like it was the recreation area. The three looked around, signs of struggle, tables and chairs all
over the place, dark red blood all over parts of the room. "No gun fire." Spoke HOLY MAN. TRIG looked around and was the last person, watching their backs with D in the
middle and HOLY MAN on point. "Looks like they never knew the bugs came." Spoke TRIG. "This is MECH squad leader B, no signs of survivors on the second floor." Spoke
MECH. "HOLY MAN, still looking." Replied HOLY MAN. "Roger, HOLY MAN, we need you back up here, TRIG and D, continue looking and watch your backs, I could hear bugs
from up here." Spoke DAUGHTERY. HOLY MAN looked at TRIG and D, giving them the nod of approval before going back up with MECH. The looked around the area when Yuu
saw a paper that had blood prints on it. "Overrun, Gone aboard John A Warden."
The rest was un-readable. Suddenly, gun shots echoed from above them. "You stay near the entrance." Spoke D. Tia scoffed. "This is why me and Othis-BUG SRPAY never
worked out, he doesn't like that fact I act like a lone-wolf at times and doesn't want me in danger." "It's not that I don't want you in danger, I need you to watch my back in
case bugs come from behind me." Yuu replied. She replied with a scoffed again while adding a playful "Roger that." And walked over to the entrance to the second floor and
had her eyes down the sights. She quickly checked out Yuu's butt before doing what he told her to do. There were no survivors, or that's what it looked like. Nothing but blood
and more human body parts all over the floor. Yuu, about to radio in to DAUGHTERY when a loud noise interrupted him. "BUGS! Incoming!" shouted ICY BLONDE over the
intercom. "This is DAUGHTERY to all teams, get your asses up here." Said DAUGHTERY. "The second floor is already swarmed with bugs, we barely managed to get out."
Whispered MECH over their communication. "Is there another way out?" asked TRIG. "Maybe, whatever you gotta do, make it fast, we got bugs swarming to the first floor.
Over and out." Said MECH. The two could hear gun shots in between the conversation. TRIG slowly looked up onto the second floor and saw mostly bugs swarming towards
the first floor. She looked over at Yuu, shaking her head. "Damnit." Tia Said quietly. They turned their attention towards an alternate route and hoping they wouldn't run into
any bugs while they were down there. Time was running out and so were their options. "I can't find another way out but here." Said Yuu, making his way back to Tia. "There's
a lot of bugs, I don't think we can make it." Said TRIG. "TRIG, D! There should be a narrow passage that leads to the first floor on the floor that you're on!" shouted ICY
BLONDE over the intercom. The two quickly looked around for anything that resembled a passage, and TRIG looked up and saw vents. "Yuu, the Vents! Boost me up quickly!"
said Tia. Yuu looked up and saw a vent, but it was covered with a metal vent cover. She tried to pull it off, but it wouldn't budge. "Dammnit!" she said in frustration. Yuu let
her back down and then aimed his rifle at the vent cover. And a second later, he shot a few good rounds and shot the cover off. And doing that, the bugs seemed to notice it
too. "HURRY!" shouted Yuu while getting into boosting Tia into the vents position.
Tia looked at Yuu and then was boosted up into the vents. "Yuu! C'mon!" she said while trying to grab Yuu's hand. "No time, get going to the first floor! I'll meet you there".
Said Yuu, aiming his rifle. "GO!" he shouted. And on cue, Tia made her way into the first floor. She quickly made her way towards people yelling commands and bugs dying
with gun fires going off on the floor above her. She saw a ladder that seemed to go up into the first level where she saw her teammates shooting and holding off bugs in front
of them. "Friendly!" she shouted. "TRIG!? What the hell!?" shouted GUN FODDER who spotter her and shouted, "FRIENDLY BEHIND US!" Half the group turned around while
the others kept firing. "Where's D!? We don't leave a man behind!" shouted DAUGHTERY. "Third floor!" replied TRIG, taking out two bugs. "432." She said to herself. "We're
getting surrounded! Where the hells D?" asked CHASE, shooting at the bugs in front of him. "Captain, I don't see a scenario of us getting out of here alive if we stay any
longer." Said DAUGHTERY, looking at BUG SPRAY. "Can anyone reach D!?" BUG SPRAY asked. "No response from him." Responded MECH. "Screw it! We are leaving!" shouted
out BUG SPRAY. A few of the other units responded to this, slowly retreating back to their ship before they got overrun. "BUG SPRAY! We do not leave a man behind!" shouted
TRIG. "TRIG, the if we stay here, we all die because of-" "D here, I've rigged the engine reactor to blow up in two minutes, I suggest we leave now." Spoke D, interrupting
BUG SPRAY. "Where's your position?" asked DAUGHTERY. "Above." Responded Yuu. Gun fire came from above them as Yuu came from the vents, and as quickly as he came
out, the other bugs started to come for him as he ran towards the ship they were to board on. "Get to the ship!" shouted BUG SPRAY while the whole team ran towards the
ship with more bugs pouring out of the ship. The whole team made it inside the ship with Yuu already inside. They quickly parted from the other swarmed ship before it blew
up, they were just barely able to get away from shockwave. "You rigged the ship to blow huh? Not bad D." said Mech, giving D a thumbs up. He looked around the crew and
quickly caught TRIG staring out the window while BUG SPRAY staring at TRIG. And after thirty minutes after the mission, DAUGHTERY asked Yuu if he had found anything
worth reporting.
