As a group was heading home for the day they were talking about a variety of things as they walked
"Are you really going to do it?" a girl asked
"Of course as I did lose the bet so I have to after all" another girl with brown hair replied
"Still is not cheating that you merely are adding wings to what you were originally going to be anyway," a third girl said.
"There are a variety of different types so who to say that there can not be one like that," the brown hair girl said.
"Managing to turn around what was supposed to be a loss into something you still get to go as what you wanted. Feels like you did not really lose the bet in that way" the first girl said
"Then you should have picked something else other than a gargoyle as there are feline types of those after all. Remember that one shows that based on them" the second girl then stated.
"Anyway can not wait to see how you pull it off as it better not just be you tacking on some wings to your original Gatamon costume," the first girl told her
"Yeah, Kari as if that's what you were thinking of doing then we are going to have to come up with another punishment for you losing that bet. This time you will not be able to still have your way through a loophole this time around" the third girl said.
"Of course who do you take me for? I made sure that it was an actual part of the costume as I going to honor the punishment for losing that bet after all" Kari Kamiya said as she left her friend since her apartment was in a different direction than theirs.
Although they were all going to be meeting up later on in the night anyway for a Halloween party that was being held.
The Eighth Child of the second group of Digidestined as well as a member of the third group as well.

It had been about a year since the Digidestined's fight with Malomystion had ended. Things were still developing but it was at a level where the Digidestined were not needed to do anything particular at the moment. The existence of digimon was even more publically known than it was before. Things were developing along in a manner where both humans and digimon were working out the finer details
It was Halloween time again in Odaiba and everyone was getting ready for tonight. There were several people out and about dressed as all sorts of characters. However, with the knowledge of digimon, there were a lot of people now dressing up as various digimon this year as well.
In the Kaiyama household, the only two in the house were Tai and Kari. Their parents and digimon had already left to go to their own Halloween plans. Tai was just relaxing waiting for what he was going to do for his Halloween plans did not start for another two hours.
Kari herself just got back home not too long after everyone else had left. She immediately started getting ready for her own plans once she had gotten dressed in her outfit just told her friend before they split up to each head to their own homes.
Having finished getting dressed Kari walked into the living room wearing the costume she was going to wear to the Halloween party she was going to with her friends along with Davis Motomiya
"Kari what are you wearing," Tai asked her as she was wearing some wear what appear to be a costume of her digimon Gatomon.
Her ears were covered with Gatomon ones, she had whiskers on her face, Gatomon's gloves that were scaled to fit her, and following behind her was a Gatomon Tail complete with its own tail ring. Yet there was something very different about it as on her back were two large wings that were white on the outside and purple on the inside.
"What is Tai," Kari asked as she noticed that he was looking at her strangely.
"What with the wings Gatomon does not have them in her normal form," he asked.
"Oh these," she said as she looked at the fore mentioned wings.
"I wanted to go as just a Gatomon but I lost a bet with a friend of mine so I dressed as a gargoyle. So instead of changing my whole outfit I just had to change my costume so I was gargoyle Gatomon instead. Feline like gargoyles and so do variants of Gatomon. I just combined the two of them. Not my fault they did not ensure I could not do something like this" Kari told him.
"So what are you going for Halloween, Tai," she asked she had not seen his costume yet despite the time of day currently.
"I have my costume ready Kari it's just I do not have it on yet as my Halloween plans will not start for another two hours," he told her.
"Okay then I see you when I get back then" she sighed as she left the house disappointed that she could not see her brother's outfit.
Sometime later...
"A gargoyle digimon huh I should have known that you would have done something that," Davis said as she met him at the place they had promised to meet up at.
Davis himself was dressed as Veemon.
He had blue Veemon ears on his head, claws on his hands and feet, and to top it off he had a temporary tattoo of V on his forehead. Since Malomystion was defeated, her Davis, and T.K had become closer as friends.
Davis seemed to have gotten over the crush that he had on Kari or at least it was not as clear to everyone as it was not as bad as it was back when he first became a Digidensited. The three of them always hung out together until T.K's mom moved away again leaving just the two of them behind.
Yolei and Cody also moved away as well with the only one remaining close by being Ken.
"Still interesting how you managed to get them to agree to even allow you to do this in the first place," Davis said
"Yeah, Well it was not as hard as I thought it would be at first. I just really had to add wings to my costume in a convincing manner. Work out better than I thought if I do say so myself" she told them.
"So what do you think of my alternation then," Kari asked as he showed off her costume to Davis.
"It suits you but I did not think that you would have made that bet with him in the first place," Davis said as he was kind of shocked that she would have to make a bet like that with someone at all.
"I was sure that I was going to win" Kari sighed as the odds were in her favor yet at the last moment things took a turn for the worse and the loss.
