Isabel Was Sitting Up In Her Bed, Looking Out Her Window. She Knew She Was Supposed To Be Sleeping But She Couldn't. All She Could Think About Was Her Cousin Esteban Who Was Inside The Dungeon.

Isabel's Mind Was Still Reeling From What Happened At Dinner Only An Hour Ago. She And The Family Had Discovered That Esteban Was Shuriki's Ally In Her Invasion. The Same Sorceress Who Had Destroyed Her Parents. Before Isabel Knew It, Elena Had Ordered The Guards To Take Esteban Away And That He Would Await His Punishment Tomorrow.

Isabel Wanted To Be Angry At Esteban. She Wanted To. But She Just Couldn't Find Herself To Do So. To Her, No Matter What Esteban Had Done, She Did Still Care About Him And What Would Happen To Him. That Was The Past And Although It Would Be Hard To Forget What He'd Done, She Still Forgave Her Cousin.

She Needed To Let Him Know. He Had To Know That He Wasn't Alone. Isabel Got Off Her Bed And Went To Her Wardrobe And Grabbed Her Cloak. She Needed It So She Could Easily Sneak By Either Elena Or Their Grandparents, Posing As A Servant. She Put On Her Silver Cloak And Lifted Up Her Hood Over The Top Of Her Head And Then Quietly Left The Room.

Inside Of The Dungeon, Esteban Leaned Back Against The Wall. He Wanted To Shed Tears But Then He'd Only Endure More Teasing From The Degaldos And They Were Already Joking Enough About How He'd Finally Been Exposed. Esteban's Heart Was Shattered. Just As He Feared, He Had A Feeling He Was Going To Lose His Family. Why Did That Blasted Llama Get So Curious? If She Hadn't, Then Elena Wouldn't Have Also Been Curious. Now He Had Been Found Out And He Was Paying The Price. So Many Emotions Were Bottled Inside. Sadness, Hurt, Anger, Guilt. Esteban Sighed.

"You Know, It Isn't The End Of The World, El Segundo." Teased Victor.

"Well, It May As Well Be. I Have Possibly Lost My Family. I Don't Have Anything Else To Lose." Said Esteban, Glaring Over At Victor.

"How Does It Feel When You Do Lose Though, Esteban? It's Hurtful, Isn't It?" Victor Asked, Smirking.

Before Esteban Could Respond, The Door Opened With A Slight Creak. Esteban And The Degaldos Turned And Saw A Small Figure Wearing A Cloak.

"Esteban?"

Esteban's Eyes Widened In Surprise. He Immediately Recognized That Voice. It Was Isabel. Isabel Removed Her Hood And She Stared At Esteban. Esteban Gave A Small Smile.

"Isabel? What Are You Doing Here? You Know You're Not Allowed To Visit Me." Esteban Gently Scolded, Shaking His Head.

"I Know. But...I Wanted To Tell You Something."

"What Is It?" Esteban Asked.

Isabel Looked At Esteban And Then She Frowned And Ran Over To The Bars And Grabbed Esteban's Arms, Tears Welling In Her Eyes.

"It Isn't Fair, Primo! You Shouldn't Be Locked Up For This!" Isabel Cried Out.

This Response Surprised Esteban Further. Isabel Didn't Want Him To Be In The Dungeon? Besides Elena, He Thought She'd Want To See Him Thrown Inside Here. He Was A Follower Of The Sorceress Who Had Killed Her Parents And Yet She Wanted Him To Be Free?

"Isabel...You Know What I Have Done." Esteban Said, Sadly, Looking Down.

"I Know But...That Isn't Who You Are Now. You've Changed. I Know Making That Deal With Shuriki Was Very, Very Wrong But You Didn't Know What She Was Capable Of Till It Was Too Late. You Were Just As Trapped As We Were When We Were Stuck Inside That Painting."

"This Is True. When I Saw What She Had Done To Your Parents, To Elena And To You And Our Abuelos...I Felt So Alone. I Was Miserable During Her Reign. I Thought About My Actions When I Had Seen What She'd Done To Our Family And To Avalor. I Wanted To Free You From That Painting...I Wanted To Bring Back Your Parents...Undo Everything But..I Couldn't." Esteban Said, Tears Also Flowing In His Eyes.

"What If Elena Chooses To Banish You?" Isabel Asked, Worriedly.

"Avalor Would Be Better Off, My Dear." Victor Chimed In.

Esteban Opened His Mouth To Argue With Victor, Isabel Frowned Over At The Degaldos And Then She Walked Over To Their Cell And Crossed Her Arms While Victor Looked Amused And Carla And Ash Unphased.

"You Aren't Any Better! You're In Hot Water For That Thievery At Last Year's Carnaval And Also Being Shuriki's Allies And Trying To Invade Avalor! Esteban Wants To Change But You Don't Deserve Any Forgiveness! You've Attempted To Take The Kingdom Too Many Times!" Isabel Snapped.

"Ah, And Didn't We Mention Who Helped Us Rob The Jewels That Year?" Victor Asked, Turning To Esteban.

"Esteban..."

"It's True Isabel. I Did Help. But It Was Only Because Victor Had Blackmailed Me. He Threatened To Tell My Secret. I Couldn't Let Him Get Away With That."

Isabel Sighed And Then She Went Back Over To Esteban's Cell And Then Grabbed Back Onto His Arms And Shook Her Head While Tears Ran Down Her Cheeks.

"I Don't Want You To Be Exiled, Primo."

Esteban Managed To Hug Isabel As She Wept Into His Arm And He Held As Close As He Could. He Hated Seeing His Youngest Cousin Suffer Because Of Him.

"If Elena Chooses For Me To Be Exiled, I Have To Do As She Requests, Mijita. I'm Sorry." Esteban Said, Voice Breaking.

"Please Don't Go Anywhere Esteban! Convince Them To Let You Go! I Want All Of Us To Be Together. I Already Lost Mama And Papi, I Don't Want To Lose Anyone Else I Love!"

Esteban's Tears Flowed Down His Face The Moment Isabel Said That. Despite All He'd Done, She Still Loved Him And Wanted Him To Be Part Of The Family. They Pulled Away And Then Esteban Wiped Away Isabel's Tears.

"I'll Try."

"And I'll Help. I'm Gonna Make Sure We Stay A Family, Primo." Isabel Said, Grabbing Esteban's Hand.

"Isabel..."

"Esteban. We Can Do It."

Esteban Sighed And Then He Hugged Isabel Who Hugged Him Back Tight. Maybe With Isabel Defending Him, He Would Be Able To Stay, It Wasn't Much But He Felt Better That Someone Was At His Side.

"I Hope So, Mi Corazon. I Hope So."
